I have to admit I wasn't a huge fan of this truck when you first started this project... but you got me hooked and I now look forward to more upgrades and videos. You are doing a great job with the channel buddy
Been watching your channel for awhile man and I wanted to say. Wicked respect for what you are doing on your channel. You are a very fun personality,to watch. Rather informative as well. And you are brilliant with a camera my man. Best wishes from New Hampshire.
This Flowmaster upgrade is a grand slam. To have a great exhaust that isn't loud all the time but when you apply the gas she ROARS I'd always a plus in my book. Great upgrade and look forward to seeing the next upgrade to the Born-again Ram-Hemi.
autoedit Had to think on the whole name thing and this is my thought. Rosie!!!! Why?? Well the paint job, it's strong because of the hemi and it has been reliable. Rosie was the same way because she has the same colors, strong because she's a robot and the Jetsons always relied on her. So I suggest calling the truck ROSIE.
Flowmaster Outlaw is an excellent choice!! My 2014 Ram 1500 has had one it it for over a month & I love it. It's not too loud and has a nice deep growl to it too
Sounds glorious! Sweet hemi music. Reminds me of the 2002 ram I had with the less aggressive flowmaster system. I'm getting another ram next year. This video just made my mind up and sealed the deal.
Exhaust is fantastic, but more than that I`m a dog lover and Pinto made my day. When You throw his freesby in one of your episodes I was crying from hapinnes, I love your dog. More Pinto. Greetings from Poland
That’s what I love about flowmaster. I have the original 40 with a single out the right side on my Tahoe and when I’m on it you hear it sounds clean healthy badass
Sounds fantastic can't wait to do mine the same They are really tough trucks I used to be a hard core Chevy guy but I have noticed thar the Dodges are built buffer I really believe they are Your truck is good
I generally go for magnaflow, but that sounds great. I'm a big Mopar fan, so I have enjoyed watching the videos on your Jeep build and the work to the Ram. Keep up the great videos. Greetings from Alabama.
Sounds great! I have a mbrp exhaust on my crewcab dually cummins. It had a cobbled together straight pipe when i got the truck. At 70 mph you couldnt talk to other passengers b cuz of the drone it had. Then i got the 4 inch mbrp from turbo to the back bumper with a muffler. All stainless. A whole other truck! Wish you great luck with your ram!
Im looking into getting this same exhaust for my 2013 ram. And mine was also used for some aggressive off road playing. My muffler broke right under the rear doors. Thanks bro you gave me the info I needed. I hope I get good horse power
I had a 4.7 with the Flowmaster original 40 single 3" in Duel 2.5" Out with 4" tips and i love the sound. i love the sound of that truck its amazing, im going to do somthing simular to my 2011 1500 5.7
Hey brother, thanks for the help on finding the exaust i wanted. Just installed it on my truck for my birthday and it came out great. Trying to build my truck one peace at a time so this is a good start. Keep doing what you're doing man. ,Mike
they are really good mufflers. I've got dual pipes into one muffler and dual turn down tips dumped behind the cab. its obnoxious with how close it is to the cab, of course
Good comparison test. I like the "meaty" sound of the Banks system, but understand the reason for the swap. The Flow Master system is very clean, but it tends to bark like glass packs (or Cherry Bombs). I do like the fact that under normal conditions they are fairly quiet and have a taste of the "Banks sound" to them. I use to run exhausts that dumped to the side and had too many issues. (ahead of, and behind the rear tires) I do use a Flow Master single exhaust on my 90 Jeep 4 liter. Sort of sounds like a Model B Ford. (B was 4 cylinder and A was the V8) Anyway, thanks for the post.
Awesome! I have a 2016 ram 2500 with the 5.7 and I have been wondering what exhaust to put on it and I believe this video made my mind up. Thanks for sharing.
Great looking exhaust but I kinda think that the other one sounded better but the improvements in practicality and looks make it worth it. Looking forward to more upgrades on this rig!
That's a legit observation. I really did LOVE the sound of this thing before so the change was mostly because of the fit. The Banks system was more designed for a 2wd truck or tow rig.
First time subscriber and I too have a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd not a 4x4 like yours! I love the exhaust you installed! I've always been a fan off flow masters! Can't wait for the next video! Thanks! This is Big Boy Frank from Texas! Peace ✌🏼
I have enjoyed your couple of RAM videos. What was the deflation caps you used? I couldn't make it out on the video. Thanks, and keep up the great work.
Hey, what an awesome upgrade. I really enjoyed this video. I just bought a 2017 Ram 1500 Big Horn. I’ll need some of the “new” to wear off before I can begin mods and upgrades. Thanks for this interesting video.
I like the "wear some of the new off" comment! These are such great trucks and you will be thrilled when you give it a deeper voice if you go with this kit. I still like that since the kit is stainless tubing... it looks as good now as it did when I installed it.
JASON MAN I JUST RECENTLY TUNED INTO YOUR CHANNEL AND I BINGED WATCH THE JEEP BUILD. YOU HAVE GREAT PERSONALITY ON CAMERA. I LIKED HOW EVERYTHING IS UPBEAT AND LIGHT. ITS ALMOST FEELS LIKE WE ARE ON THE JOURNEY WITH YOU. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! PS NOW I WANT TO SELL MY 2WD TRUCK AND GET A JEEP. TRYING TO PITCH IT TO MY WIFE...GOT ANY ADVICE?
I like watching your channel and the projects your working on both are great i got some similar project cars im working but thank you for the entertainment keep up the good work
Love the show....You may have answered this question already but I'm wondering what suspension components are allowing for 37 inch meats. The stance of the truck is awesome and from the videos the articulation is pretty good.
Need some long tubes next, I know from the forms and experience they add 20ish hp/tq to chevys. Those hemi manifolds are interesting compared to GM manifolds. All punch straight into the tube like a turbo manifold. I assume they are restricting the heck out of N/A power and tq but I could be wrong. Headers and custom tune next, but if possible you should do a before and after dyno.
Stock manifold is actually preferable. They tested the difference between a stock 5.7 plastic manifold and a 6.1l metal intake manifold from a big block hemi on engine masters and found that the 5.7 was preferable because the plastic keeps the air at a cooler temperature even though the aesthetics aren't the best
I really like it sounds great I like the way it handled on those trails but what I am looking for is a very quiet exchaust with performance and quality for my truck
I have a 96 Ram and I dropped the 10 series as it wasn't loud enough lol. I went with spintech pro street 9000's and its a totally different monster now way louder than the flowmaster 10 series nobody around me is running this setup and they all ask whats on the truck.
Glad to hear that, I really like it so far. It is much louder outside the truck but good inside. I put a link to the system I got in the video description. The American Thunder version of this system is a bit "quieter"
I've always loved the flowmaster sound but I've become less tolerant of droning of any kind during road trips. I'd love to see how this system treats you on a few long runs and get your thoughts on that.
Any advice on making a 4th gen ram into a better wheeler ? I have a 2012 ram 1500 express 4x4 lifted with 35s but don't know if I should upgrade the gears first or the transfer case. I would normally just put some taller gears in but ram had to weld the ring gears to the carriers so it's hard to swap gears without also swapping the whole diff. Any solutions to my problem ?
This truck has 5.13 gears so it's possible. There are a few good companies that offer suspension for these things so take your pick... I'll do a more in depth look at the suspension on this truck when I learn more about it. I'm pretty sure your transfer case is fine, the 4.6:1 in this truck is too low... it's not a rock crawler and never will be.
Just bought a 2017 Silverado and was wondering about the Flowmasters local shop was pushing banks but I love the deep growl you got going on... if you don't mind are you in California ? Was asking to see if it was Cali legal with all the damn restrictions... keep it up new subscriber love the channel.
I tell myself that I do not need a super 10, but I revisit your videos and I am 👌 this much closer to pulling the trigger for one. 😅 Neighbors, I apologize in advance, but you’ll be getting an ear full of truck every day at 0400. Forgot the replay button, lemme just add it really quick 3:37
Great video, plus Pinto looked like he was having a blast too! I do like the flow master better as well, and you'll probably love it more after a long trip since it tones down some. I noticed with my flow master 40 series they seem to sound better as the mufflers aged. I have them on my first truck that I still own. It's a chevy with the 5.3 that I put two cats and mufflers on plus an x pipe coming out dual before the tire on a short bed regular cab. Kinda rattles the cab, but I love it. Can't wait for the next video, I love all your vehicles plus Pinto!
It doesn't drone if that's what you mean.... It's just consistently loud. The exhaust out the back instead of out the sides makes a big difference in the cab... much better. I have towed for an hour and it was pretty good. I'm leaving on a trip soon for a 4 hour tow so we will see how that goes.
Yes, a rear locker will help this truck a lot and yes I plan on putting something in the rear. Just trying to figure out what. I'm nervous about putting anything in the front since I've already broken a half shaft... so we'll see.
It is loud, no doubt about that, but I still like it. I actually have no problem with the sound on the highway... there's no drone like some systems and it's only loud when you get into the throttle. In a couple of years, I'll swap the can for a Super 44 but I might still like it loud... we'll see!
At the time, I was keeping the cost down a bit and the few things I read made it seem like I was going to spend $800-$1000 on headers for 15-20 HP... can get that out of a tuner for the time being. Besides, I really want to supercharge this thing at some point! Thanks so much for watching!
Not a dodge guy but I love this truck it looks bad ass even with the dents
It adds character to this rig for sure! I have only owned Ford trucks in the past but this truck got me for sure.
I think it looks especially badass with the dents.
So have you converted to RAM?
I have to admit I wasn't a huge fan of this truck when you first started this project... but you got me hooked and I now look forward to more upgrades and videos. You are doing a great job with the channel buddy
Thanks so much! I'm so glad you like the truck now... means more that you came to like it by watching!
Appreciate you taking a minute to say so!
Been watching your channel for awhile man and I wanted to say.
Wicked respect for what you are doing on your channel.
You are a very fun personality,to watch. Rather informative as well.
And you are brilliant with a camera my man.
Best wishes from New Hampshire.
Really love to hear such awesome stuff.... thank you so much... means the world to me!
This Flowmaster upgrade is a grand slam. To have a great exhaust that isn't loud all the time but when you apply the gas she ROARS I'd always a plus in my book. Great upgrade and look forward to seeing the next upgrade to the Born-again Ram-Hemi.
YES! You kind of brought up a thing... what should we call this thing now? Does it need a name?
autoedit Had to think on the whole name thing and this is my thought. Rosie!!!! Why?? Well the paint job, it's strong because of the hemi and it has been reliable. Rosie was the same way because she has the same colors, strong because she's a robot and the Jetsons always relied on her. So I suggest calling the truck ROSIE.
Stunned at how small the muffler is. Love the sound. Not as loud as I thought it would be. Good staff man, good work
I was really surprised by that as well. It's pretty good sounding and so far, not too loud on the inside.
Thanks for watching and saying hey!
Good "staff?" ugh... Well I am sure Pinto is a better editor than the one I have. Thank you for the videos!
First time around here but I'm agreeing with many of the comments. Man, this video is great ! Great info, all crisp and clear.
Flowmaster Outlaw is an excellent choice!! My 2014 Ram 1500 has had one it it for over a month & I love it. It's not too loud and has a nice deep growl to it too
Really glad to hear that!
Sounds glorious! Sweet hemi music. Reminds me of the 2002 ram I had with the less aggressive flowmaster system. I'm getting another ram next year. This video just made my mind up and sealed the deal.
WooHoo! Glad to hear it!
Exhaust is fantastic, but more than that I`m a dog lover and Pinto made my day. When You throw his freesby in one of your episodes I was crying from hapinnes, I love your dog. More Pinto. Greetings from Poland
Thanks! Yeah, I really love that silly dog Pinto... I'm really glad to hear that you like to see her in the videos. Howdy from California
That’s what I love about flowmaster. I have the original 40 with a single out the right side on my Tahoe and when I’m on it you hear it sounds clean healthy badass
YEP!
Flowmaster hands down makes best sounding exhaust!
Sounds fantastic can't wait to do mine the same They are really tough trucks I used to be a hard core Chevy guy but I have noticed thar the Dodges are built buffer I really believe they are Your truck is good
I've got the Flowmaster Outlaw dual tips on my Wrangler JKU and love the sound of them. It's got to sound so much better with that big V8.
I to have the flowmaster on my Jeep and it helps but there is just a big difference in sound from a V6 to a V8!
After watching this I'm probably going to throw the flowmaster onto my wife's hemi commander hahaha
Love all your work...I'm Dodge guy...But love your puppy dog! Thank You for including him or her.
Thanks! I'm glad you appreciate me and Pinto the Dog!
I generally go for magnaflow, but that sounds great. I'm a big Mopar fan, so I have enjoyed watching the videos on your Jeep build and the work to the Ram. Keep up the great videos. Greetings from Alabama.
Well Howdy from CA and thanks so much for watching and sayin' Hey!
Nice! And I'm sure your neighbors will get to learn your schedule after a while.... Keep up the good work.
LOL! true! Thanks
It still sounds amazing!
This is just what the dr ordered. Great videos! Thanks for putting all that time in for us all to enjoy and get ideas!
Well, thank you so much!
This truck needs a channel of its own!
LOL!
I had a 4.7 with the Flowmaster original 40 single 3" in Duel 2.5" Out with 4" tips and i love the sound. i love the sound of that truck its amazing, im going to do somthing simular to my 2011 1500 5.7
You will love this on your Ram... I still do so much!
Those cuts you did on the bumper are very clean lol love the sound can't wait to order mine
WooHoo! Hope you like it as much as I like this thing
Been watching/catching up on all your videos. By far a REALLY cool truck! Love that bumper!
I just installed the MBRP dual rear exhaust on my 2008 ram...
I like the sound of the Flowmaster better. its an easy swap now that I have the pipes.
Tristyn Russelo no welding ?
That new exhaust sound is music to my ears!
Yeah Buddy!
That exhaust sounds amazing!! I just put a Flowmaster 44 Series on my Hemi and I know what you mean, it makes it a totally new truck! Love the video!!
Awesome to hear! I love it when an upgrade has such a big change to the driving experience. Thanks so much for watching!
sounds 10 times better than the banks system. like the look of it better as well good job
Yes, the look of the dual tips was the icing on the cake and the sound is pretty good as well! Thanks
Flowmaster sounds phenomenal with the exception of their habit of droning
This system doesn't drone at all but it is pretty loud!
Hey brother, thanks for the help on finding the exaust i wanted. Just installed it on my truck for my birthday and it came out great. Trying to build my truck one peace at a time so this is a good start. Keep doing what you're doing man. ,Mike
Thanks so much! Glad to hear from another truck guy!
Great video as usual, gotta love that flowmaster rumble!
Yeah! It really does it for me... home run on this truck. Plus, I ordered a bunch of stuff for the Mustang project from Flowmaster as well!
We have missed you!!! Welcome back!!!! Best on youtube right now!!! :)
Aw Shucks! Thanks so much!
I have the same truck with the same exhaust! Super sweet set up
I think the flowmaster in general sounds great on alot of things i have one on my chevy and love it
Cool!
haha, I think it's awesome that you have 37s on two of your vehicles! Plus that this qualifies as your "work truck" is way too good.
LOL! I was just thinking that today... went from a stock Jeep to two vehicles with 37" tires in less than a year! I'm a very lucky guy!!!!
they are really good mufflers. I've got dual pipes into one muffler and dual turn down tips dumped behind the cab. its obnoxious with how close it is to the cab, of course
its a super 10 and I've had it for 2 years and the sound hasn't changed at all
+Ryan Stuckey I thought about doing something like that and after hearing from you glad I didn't !
Jason, it sounds fantastic!
Bravissimo con il tuo amico a quattro zampe siete una coppia vincente Grande!!!
Good comparison test. I like the "meaty" sound of the Banks system, but understand the reason for the swap. The Flow Master system is very clean, but it tends to bark like glass packs (or Cherry Bombs). Awesome! I have a 2016 ram 2500 with the 5.7 and I have been wondering what exhaust to put on it and I believe this video made my mind up. Thanks for sharing.
+Jake Carter Well alrighty then!
Great looking exhaust but I kinda think that the other one sounded better but the improvements in practicality and looks make it worth it. Looking forward to more upgrades on this rig!
That's a legit observation. I really did LOVE the sound of this thing before so the change was mostly because of the fit. The Banks system was more designed for a 2wd truck or tow rig.
sounds awesome man. not a Dodge guy but have to admit that thing sounds sick...
I wasn't a Dodge guy either but something about this truck just won me over... mostly that it's just a warrior.
First time subscriber and I too have a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd not a 4x4 like yours! I love the exhaust you installed! I've always been a fan off flow masters! Can't wait for the next video! Thanks! This is Big Boy Frank from Texas! Peace ✌🏼
Thanks so much! Love to hear from new friends!!!
Sounds better, looks better and I think it's going to perform better great job !
Thanks!
awesome truck, that exhaust sounds way cleaner in my opinion. keep it up, love the show!
Thanks so much dude!!!!
Keep the Ram videos coming man!!!!
I'm so happy to hear that people are liking this project! Thanks
autoedit truck really sounds great man. Good work and great videos. My new favorite channel by far.
Love the sound and I really like the bed bar.
Love the look and sound of this new metal. Awesome choice
That exhaust sounds amazing!
Thanks! It really changed the driving experience of the truck in a good way.
Own a 12 4.7 1500, curious how this system would sound on it. Obviously better than stock. I'll be buying this, thank you for showing me!
I had a Flowmaster on my WJ with the 4.7 and it was great
Awesome video ! I love that trail
Sweet, thanks!
I have enjoyed your couple of RAM videos. What was the deflation caps you used? I couldn't make it out on the video. Thanks, and keep up the great work.
Why thanks! Here's a link to the tire deflators
www.stauntyredeflators.com.au/
sounds fantastic has a mean growl great job as always keep em coming..
Thanks so much Joe, I'll try!
Love your channel and your videos.
+emilio casarez Thanks!
Love the videos Jason keep up the good work
Thank you!
Love the video man! Would love to see more with the jeep.
Jeep is next!
I like it a lot bro, I went with the Carvin Competitor exhaust that thing sounds amazing!
New Flowmaster is sounds so much better... Not to mention better ground clearance. Maybe headers next?
Not sure what's next... what else besides headers?
awesome truck love the flowmaster exhaust but please fix the shifter otherwise awesome
Yes, I must fix that... just haven't figured out how yet.
I love the new exhaust system
+Bradley Holland Vlogs Wait till you here this thing get after it in the next video!!!! It’s so good!
Howdy and thanks!
Hmmm... it's a hard sell to get rid of the truck for a Jeep so maybe swap for a 4x4 truck!
I like watching your channel and the projects your working on both are great i got some similar project cars im working but thank you for the entertainment keep up the good work
Sorry good work
I'm glad to hear you liked the videos and the projects! I hope your projects go great as well!
Sounds awesome!
Looking forward to the next Jeep vid.
Thanks! coming soon!
Your truck is so beautiful !!!
Thank you!
Love the show....You may have answered this question already but I'm wondering what suspension components are allowing for 37 inch meats. The stance of the truck is awesome and from the videos the articulation is pretty good.
It's mostly stock with only custom upper control arms in the front and Edelbrock shocks.
Cool...Thank you for the video's and looking forward to more.
Sounds awesome. Love your videos man!
Thanks and thank you!!!
I like how you think but for now it will stay with the stock stuff in place. Possibly looking to add boost tho....
Nice! Can't wait!
I was talking about the exhaust manifold, but yea the plastic stays cooler and doesn't get near as heat soaked
Chris Topher oh I see. My bad
How do you only have 60K Subs????
I'm trying... guess I'm just earning my subs one at a time... the hard way... lol
autoedit Haha keep up the great work and outstanding content bro! Love your RAM and your Stang thanks for replying too! :)
I really like it sounds great I like the way it handled on those trails but what I am looking for is a very quiet exchaust with performance and quality for my truck
That's easy, they offer an American Thunder series kit that has the same tailpipe options but a larger muffler.
Exhaust sounds great. Can't help but think it would even better with a 6.4 Hemi swap! Had that shot when replacing the old...oh well though.
I agree! This was the most practical thing and keeps the truck smog legal here in California.
I have a 96 Ram and I dropped the 10 series as it wasn't loud enough lol. I went with spintech pro street 9000's and its a totally different monster now way louder than the flowmaster 10 series nobody around me is running this setup and they all ask whats on the truck.
I like the new sound I think I'm buying buying my self the same system for my 2014 ram
Glad to hear that, I really like it so far. It is much louder outside the truck but good inside. I put a link to the system I got in the video description. The American Thunder version of this system is a bit "quieter"
autoedit how is the drone inside the cab does it get annoying
No drone with this system... the actual "muffler" is tiny. It's just very loud out the tail pipes.
thanks for the info
I've always loved the flowmaster sound but I've become less tolerant of droning of any kind during road trips. I'd love to see how this system treats you on a few long runs and get your thoughts on that.
Me too on the drone... ain't nobody got time for that! Count on the fact that this truck will go on some serious road trips!
That exhaust sounds REALLY good. I was expecting it to drone like crazy, but seems like that isn't the case.
+Stuka87 Thanks! I'll make sure and do a road trip video and get some good highway miles to see how it is on long drives.
Great videos , i always wait for the next video , keep the good work buddy 👍this exhaust sound really good
Thank you sooooooooo much!
Any advice on making a 4th gen ram into a better wheeler ? I have a 2012 ram 1500 express 4x4 lifted with 35s but don't know if I should upgrade the gears first or the transfer case. Sounds and looks much better. Please tell me you still have the Rubicon.
Thanks and of course I still have the Jeep! Going camping very soon with it.
Nice sounding exhaust. I’m torn between this and the mbrp for my rebel. Carven is popular but way too aggressive for me.
Just bought a 2017 Silverado and was wondering about the Flowmasters local shop was pushing banks but I love the deep growl you got going on... if you don't mind are you in California ? Was asking to see if it was Cali legal with all the damn restrictions... keep it up new subscriber love the channel.
Thanks and Welcome! Yes these are smog legal here in California!
flowmaster 40's are the way to go for me, they have an amazing sound and don't pop or sound like a straight piped POS z71
thats a beast! great vid. This stuff is not possible in Norway. both truck vise and offroad vise. Envy :D
Thanks! Bummer to hear that but it looks beautiful to live there!
Awesome Jason. Where's marge?
Patience my friend! I received some special stuff from Flowmaster for Large Marge as well!
autoedit of course Jason I'm just pulling your leg! Awesome!
How do you get to that hill climb ? I'd like to go check it out in my jeep some day
Take San Francisquito Canyon Rd to Drinkwater Trail... go UP!
LOL! Maybe get the same kit with a super40... much friendlier to the neighbors but still beefy!
Do you prefer the jeep over the dodge or the dodge over the jeep?
That's so tough... love them both differently but equally... but something about this truck just gets me.
Awesome video. Post more!!
I'll do my best to make more... I appreciate the message!
I love your reference to the movie step brothers. So much more room for activities. Hahahaha.
Glad you got that!
Great video, plus Pinto looked like he was having a blast too! I do like the flow master better as well, and you'll probably love it more after a long trip since it tones down some. Love both vehicles, but the ram is more of my style. Gonna afford it one day.
+Michael Kelly I hear ya!
Sound really good 👍🏼
Thanks!
Hooked up the JBL , Sounds GREAT !
HAHA! Awesome!
Sounds great another great video!
Thanks!
Another awesome video! Keep it up!
Thank you, I'll try!!!
Will you ever make some sort of bracket to hold the gear selector? just wondering.
Yes, that's just down the list of things to do and I have to get back to work on the Mustang and the Jeep!
Can you do an overview of the Jeep modding costs so far?
Great truck. Been debating about a Ram. Do you think the lack of Lockers is a problem for off road? Do you plan to add ARB air lockers?
Yes, a rear locker will help this truck a lot and yes I plan on putting something in the rear. Just trying to figure out what. I'm nervous about putting anything in the front since I've already broken a half shaft... so we'll see.
now, that you have lived with the super 10 for a few months... still like it? noise lvl too loud when traveling distances?
It is loud, no doubt about that, but I still like it. I actually have no problem with the sound on the highway... there's no drone like some systems and it's only loud when you get into the throttle. In a couple of years, I'll swap the can for a Super 44 but I might still like it loud... we'll see!
Why no headers before you stabbed the new engine in?
At the time, I was keeping the cost down a bit and the few things I read made it seem like I was going to spend $800-$1000 on headers for 15-20 HP... can get that out of a tuner for the time being. Besides, I really want to supercharge this thing at some point!
Thanks so much for watching!
Sounds really great !
Thanks, I really like it so far!
