In this video we install and review the B2 Fabrications direct fit muffler for the RAM 1500 with factory dual exhaust. Thank you for the video. I just installed a magnaflow on my 17 Ram Sport and it went well thanks to watching this video 3 times. Took me about 90 mins. I had some rusty bolts. I love the sound.
I really like your videos as well. I have a 1500 tradesman with the single pipe exhaust and I did a muffler delete, replacing the muffler with a piece of straight pipe. The muffler shop bent the pipe slightly to make it fit better, added hangers for the mid section and welded the whole thing. I like the welded pipes because of no leaks and won't loosen up.

I enjoyed the video. I did this a few weeks ago on a 13 ram with 6000 miles and found it easier to just take a sawzall to the pipes that exit the muffler, and cut as close to the muffler as i could. Florida truck but the rear exit pipes wouldn't budge. Worked out good, I opted for the muffler delete from B2 fab.
Sounds good on a cold start and when you get on it, quiet in the cab when cruising.

Loving the videos and made sure to subscribe after watching a couple of them. Only question I have is where to get the Magnaflow B2fabs direct replacement. Tried the link but it sends me to a total different exhaust.
B2 Fabrications is still selling this exhaust kit, available with 18" muffler, 14" muffler and muffler delete. I just ordered the 14" version for my truck, its $290 for the two muffler versions or $210 for the muffler delete version.

Someone put an Aero diesel muffler on my 2012 Ram before I bought it. It sounds great, but does have some drone, especially when the MDS kicks in, then it sounds like a diesel.

I have read on other sites that the gasket bbk supplies with the order of headers burns out after awhile, are you aware of this ?

When I installed my carven bolt on I had my tips stick out like that too. It does look nice but be careful when dropping the truck... the control arm bracket on the axle will hit the exhaust pipe on harsh bumps. Never punctured a hole but did see the contact is was making

Nice video 2017 ram r/t I went with the sweet Thunder Exhaust tabs were already cut fit perfectly at stock weighs about 10 pounds lighter than yours it's a baffle resonator exhaust. Guaranteed not to have drone made in USA in Cadillac Michigan excellent product there's a UA-cam video on UA-cam of how it sounds will never have any other exhaust but that it's made like they did for the Z28 Camaros and Corvettes in the 60s and 70s makes the Hemi sound really beefy deep deep tone.😀

@@BoostedMotorsports went with sweet thunder the company is out of Cadillac Michigan they have there resonators on eBay for the ram. Bought it on eBay for about $225.00 free shipping.
Is there any drone at highway speeds and also on normal excelleration from a stop to say 60mph how intruding is the exhaust in the cab area?

I have the same muffler with adapters I made myself. It’s a great sounding muffler. It will get a little louder after a month or 2 but nothing crazy.

Great Video, good detailed instructions. great sound. but now im curious why when i did mine my tips lined up inline with the bumpers edge and didnt stick out? i didnt touch the locating pins or notch the pipe either? either why super easy install and great results.

hey i just looked under my truck and mine is reversed from the way you put yours in. the straight section is on the lower clamp and the bend is higher/closer to driveshaft. not sure if that will help with the tips or not

No vibration and its not annoying or loud on the highway which is one of my biggest pet peeves. I sold my Carven for that reason but this is much more quiet

Hey man, do you like this better then the carven that you had? I put the carven progressive on about a week ago. But it is a little louder then I want. Plus when the ECO mode kicks in it’s annoying.
Yeah that was the exact complaint I had with the Carven. The Carven sounded great but this is much more tame. Its pretty aggressive outside the truck but inside is much more tolerable.

I've been driving the hell out of this thing as my daily and didn't wanna wear out my 24" rubber and also enjoying the better gas mileage. Once I get that Jetta running I'll retire the ram as my daily 🤘

That's tough! I've gotten very picky with my exhausts and on my truck at least I enjoy the quiet stealth cruising and then the electronic cutout for when I wanna have some fun!

I put in a Carven exhaust kit on my Ram but the previous owner had a Magnaflow muffler welded on to the truck so I had to cut it off from the end pipes side, then I put in the carven and the end pipes barely fit on but they fit and I drove around for a bit and one of the pipes disconnected from the Carven. I decided to just remove both end pipes from the new system, should I find someone to weld the end pipes to the Carven? The way I have it now it’s just the new system so all the exhaust smoke leaves through it about halfway from the size of the truck just a little after the cabin because I have a single cab, that being said should I be concerned about the end pipes not being there? Does it reduce my mpg? Or is it a hazard at all to not have the endpipes?? Thanks in advance
I would just be more concerned about idling and having exhaust fumes under the cab making their way in or hot exhaust gases burning wiring underneath. Thats about the only hazard I can think of though

Norman gettys I got that for my 2014 Ram and it sounds great. It is the Flowmaster American Thunder direct fit. Plenty loud with my JBA shorty headers but not obnoxious on the highway

No shit. I had a boesch built on my previous ram 1500. Was loud but I like the flowmaster outlaw alot better!
Question: how many mpg did you lose after changing from stock to this one featured in the video? I took both my stock muffler and tailpips and lost about 2-3mpg for 5 months. At highest with my 1500 i got 18.7mpg with stock muffler and exaust

You can't really worry about mpg when you got a truck. If you're worried about a few MOG you shoulda bought a Prius

@@BoostedMotorsports Great, do you know if they had a y pipe for them. If you haven't noticed, the y pipe is crimped on one of the header down tubes that lead into the collector. I would think it would hinder the flow of exhaust.

Have you done any sound testing with tail pipes off from the muffler? Just headers Y to OEM Muff? I'm going to tinker with mine when the rain stops and probably just put some temporary turn down tips on the two coming out of the OEM muffler while im drawing up and trouble shooting a custom system i plan on getting too. Oh i keep forgetting to tell other people with Mopar. Moes Performance has some nice pieces for some competitive prices, im looking into getting my long tubes from them, but going to need to fab up the Y they have with cats and to also make it a true dual.
What size engine do you have? Does anyone know what the V6 option would sound like. Living in a big city I opted to go with the V6 for fuel savings. I already know there will be haters talking smack. Pay for my gas and I’ll get the HEMI.
Nah the Hemi has the Eco mode so it cuts to 4 cyl.... makes your exhaust sound weird.

Nah there's not really much to be gained from bolt on mufflers honestly. Even with my electric cutout open or closed at the drag strip with full flow it barely makes a difference
