I just cooked my first air fryer chicken a couple of days ago using another recipe and it came out very nice. Now I am going to go get another chicken and try your recipe. The seasonings sound delicious,
I tried this recipe today using my Mealthy CrispLid and all I can say is "WOW"! This is absolutely delicious. It is moist and flavorful with a crispy crust. My chicken was 4.7lbs, so it took a little longer to cook. After an hour, the internal temperature was 151 degrees. I added 15 minutes to the cooking time and covered it with foil. The marinade is so good, I want to use it on salads and other meats. I will try it with steak next. Thank you so much for sharing this delicious and easy to make recipe.
Hi there! Just came across your video. I just purchased the Instant Pot Air Frier Lid and had a whole chicken in my freezer. The chicken is cooking as I type this and HOLY MOLY! My entire house smells delicious. Being Spanish, this has all the spices I love. I can’t wait to try it out. Thanks for sharing!!!
I made this yesterday, it was delicious! Best chicken ever! Reminds me a little of Pollo loco chicken but better! I used cilantro because I don’t even know what culantro is lol! And for the seasonned salt I used Lawrys! One thing I had a problem with was that my chicken was too big(5lb +) I used my Ninja Foodie and it hit the lid making it burn the skin in the top and needing more minutes to cook. So follow her advice and use a smaller 4lb chicken instead! Thanks for the recipe!
My daughter says it tastes like pollo tropicals chicken and I think the same! Yes sometimes if the chicken is too big it will do that..sometimes if I have no choice I break the back down of the chicken so its more flat ..I'm so glad you enjoyed it !! ❤❤❤
Great video! I just got my air fryer 2 weeks ago and have only cooked wings in it but this weekend, I want to can some chicken bone broth so I searched for videos on how to air fry chickens to see if it would be possible for me to cook 3 of them relatively quickly. Now I know I can! Thank you so much! #NewSub! :)
I have an air fryer but right now I just have chicken breasts so I'm going to try that deliciously made marinade you suggested and put them in a oven bag to seal in the flavor and use my toaster oven. Can't wait, thanks for your recipe.
This looks delicious 😋 just got a Bella Pro Series and want to try this for Thanksgiving and was wondering if I could make this in mine since I have the Rotisserie handle
This was so informative, and seems like it could be very flavorful. I’ve never seen it done this was, and can’t wait to try it. The only thing, I would go nuts touching the raw chicken and getting all that on my hands without gloves. 😂😭🤦🏽♂️ Thanks for sharing!!
Looks fabulous! Gonna give it a try. I’m going to add a tsp of chicken Bovril as I normally add it to all my meat dishes, including meatloaf (I used beef bovril). That way I never need to add salt. Wish there was smell-o-vision. Cheers.
Just found this. All set to try it tonight. I know it's gonna be awesome. BTW, have you ever considered reading audiobooks? I could listen to your voice for hours.
Yummy I’ll try this rub tfs 💕 I love making whole chicken in my air fryer. Have you ever made with the breast side down first? That’s the way I’ve been making it because I’ve heard it’s juicer that way.
I think it depends on how well designed the air fryer air flow is. Not all air fryers are equal. I have a Phillips XXL and the recipe book goes to pains to illustrate that chicken goes in the normal way: the breast side up. It doesn’t call for flipping the chicken. The air fryer the cook used looks pretty good, I can see some kind of return airflow circulation duct near the tray handle when it’s open, but she flips it anyway. I would put foil around the drumstick tips and maybe wing tips as they tend to get dry as well as sew up the chicken properly. I still use the pan juices. To be frank a good fan forced oven is about as fast, apart from the additional 10 minutes preheat you need. Plus you can baste. A good air fryer model with instant heat that doesn’t need preheat is critical to its usefulness. For instance I can do 4 burger patties to perfection in 9 minutes from the moment I press start fat free without pan frying. It wouldn’t make sense if you needed preheat. It’s so easy to roast mushrooms, zucchini, eggplant for a snack. You can even “boil an egg” or poach it in silicon cup cakes holders. No need to boil water. Halve a potato or two and it can be roasted in less than 20 minutes. I do paleo but my vegetarian animal lover wife has taken over the air fryer. It’s very good for vegetarians and vegans.
Cooking with air fryer for almost 5 yrs. Your temp is to high. ( 350 ) and should be breast down first turn and continue cooking. 4 to 5 lb about 50 to 60 mins.
This recipe looks so good. I don't like cilantro, could I use flat leaf parsley instead? Also, what can I substitute the Complete Seasoning with? Thank you.
Absolutely parsley will work ...you can leave it out if you can't find it..or you can dissolve a chicken bullion cube or seasoning salt ..it's for that extra flavor
It's one of my favorite chicken dishes lol! I would probably do 400 covered tightly with foil without foil touching skin of the chicken. If you have a rack to place your chicken on so it doesn't sit in the juices may help crisping up the skin a bit. I hope you are well!! Thanks so much for your support! Sending love your way! ❤❤❤
@@ShesMakinDough Thank you I will try this soon! We are well thank you! Of course 😊 you are an amazing person who I will continue to support God willing.
I'm sorry but I like to remove the feathers that were not removed during processing. I still saw some on the wing tips. Just my pet peeve. I know most don't eat the wing tips but it's better for presentation. 😁
OK, so I followed your recipe girl can I just say that was the best effing chicken I ever made 0M to the G, flavors juicy and melted in your mouth. I have no words it was so freaking good at first I was annoyed because when the butter is just like one big ass mess, what came out and the end was well worth that mess so annoying, but the flavor will be the best thing ever. I shit you not this was a 10
Your recipe is great but the airfryer isn't that good. When you changed the side, 1 side was little overcooked while other side was completely uncooked.
@@ShesMakinDough I appreciate that your instructions let me know I didn't have to pressure cook it first in my Foodi, which zaps the flavor and texture big time! Just air frying was great! (I didn't do your tasty-sounding elaborate rub. I was sooo tired! But the method was very helpful.)

What is cilantro?and where can I buy it? Thank you.
Cilantro is an herb you should be able to find it in most grocery stores by the herbs

I do my turkeys this way butter with spices and rub under the skin make sure your butter is room temperature
Making right now just my own herbs
What are inside the 1 tbsp chicken seasoning

@@ShesMakinDough Great. Thanks for responding so soon. I will make it this weekend.
375-385 seems kind of high?
Depending on your airfyer . You can always start at 350 and see how that works it'll just take a bit longer to cook through
What is “coolantro”? I have never heard of it.
Culantro is an herb similar to cilantro in flavor (just a bit stronger flavor) you can just use cilantro it'll work great
Home Cooking 👍🏻❣️
I see culantro in the Asian markets.
Can you use olive oil instead of butter
Sure you can butter does give it wonderful flavor but olive oil is fine
Name of air fryer ?
Ikich 6 qt, link should be in description
So butter smokes at around 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Aren't you concerned with burning the butter off in your chicken?
I've never had any problems with it, I make this so often and it's always perfect
This looks amazing wow. I don't have an air fryer. If we did this in the oven what temperature would you suggest? Thank you hun ❤️ 😘

How many times did she say the word "chicken"? 😃
As many times as needed lol!
You don't need that much seasoning for a delicious roast chicken. Chicken and salt are enough.
Sounds bland

your are the first one that knew what thy were doing. to bad that it was not a rotisserie chicken
I have an air fryer. I thought the purpose for an air fryer is to cook food without any oils, but you’re using butter.🤔🤷🏻♀️
It's for extra flavor and leave the chicken a little more crisp
Probably will never bake chicken again after air frying one.
I agree. I've never baked or used my instant pot for a whole chicken after air frying!
Where are the amounts for the ingredients? You promised to list them in the video, lol.
They are listed in the description box click the arrow next to the title of the video
Breast side down first????
Can you imagine a giant doing this to you🤣🤣🤣🤣 season that human real good
Kk8
Your camera is not in the right position.
Your recipe is great but the airfryer isn't that good. When you changed the side, 1 side was little overcooked while other side was completely uncooked.
You have to cook each side for 30 mins ...your tenp may vary. My new arifryer I have to use around 350-370
Too close and can only see half of the chicken or whatever you are doing.
And you're TOO critical and fussy. We all know what a fookin Chuck looks like.
Hate cilantro
Use whatever herb you like
The butter defeats the purpose of an air fryer 🤔
No you actually still need some oil/fat to crisp things up. The butter is mostly for flavor and a crisp on the skin
Butter is a good fat ! We have been taught wrong !
Good but don't need that much butter/fat. Obesity is an epidemic. We need to take good care of our body.
sorry, but you talk waaay too much
Kinda talk to much nice recipe
You technically told us to leave the raw chicken out to marinate all night. To be clear, you obviously meant to refrigerate it overnight.
Yes.. obviously.... (there's really only so much you can say in the voice over, and then people complain you explain too much 👧)
