Very well rounded and honest review, and I was surprised by your conclusion! I recently bought my Steam Deck and feel more excited than ever to try everything it has to offer thanks to this review.
Happy to hear that. I am excited for you to play your games on the go. It might take some getting used to at first but I do think it would grow on you or actually anyone who has a sincere gaming DNA. :)
One thing that was not mentioned much is the space shaders take. If you have a lot of SD cards, it still helps having bigger SSD because shaders are only stored on the SSD, even if the games is in the SD cards. Unless of course you are willing to do a soft link to the shaders and put them in SD card, but you have to do them manually.
Dont know where you are from and whats the situation with the internet there but here In finland pretty much everyone has 200-1000Mbs internet on our phones. So if it would require internet you would just share the phone internet and thats it. But yeah you dont even need internet to play with this.

What can I say. My priorities are all over the place
can't really do anything on the go unless you have wifi and a ok one
For games that doesn’t call home, just open the game for the first time before going offline.
