Navy-Marine Corps Stadium has names of the major battles the Navy & Marine Corps fought over time on the upper deck facade. Just to correct the record on the Memphis segment, he stated The University of Memphis has been in the Liberty Bowl since 1965 "AKA the beginning". I don't know if he was referring to the Tigers' "beginning" or the Liberty BOWL's beginning, but either way he is incorrect. The "Beginning" of the Memphis Tigers was 1912. The Beginning of the "Liberty Bowl" was in Philadelphia, and moved to Memphis in 1965. The Tigers started playing on campus in 1912, moved to Crump Stadium in the 1930s, and finally the Liberty Bowl in 1965. But this dude had some humor in his comments I appreciated. All-in-all, good job.
You are incorrect about the UCF stadium ... "Bounce House" is the nickname (along with "the Wok" for the effect of having noon-time kickoffs in central Florida) ... it was originally known as Bright House Networks Stadium, then Spectrum Stadium (when Charter Communications bought out and renamed Bright House Networks), and is NOW (as of May 31, 2022) FBC Mortgage Stadium under the new naming rights contract
Gerald Ford-Gerald R. Ford, that is, not the guy Gerald J. Ford Stadium was named after-was President of the United States for about 2½ years after having a cup of coffee as Vice President.
I had the wonderful opportunity of visiting the Liberty Bowl this past December for the game. And while it is a historic stadium and had a small renovation recently, but otherwise it isn’t a good stadium, the ramps to the upper decks are horribly placed, and the bathrooms are ancient. Otherwise the energy and game day experience is amazing there, just needs some modernization in certain parts.
Back when the bounce house first opened it would bounce even more. I was like 11 or 12 and would be terrified the stadium would collapse lol. You could get some serious air time if you timed your jump correctly. They've since reinforced the structure substantially so it doesn't bounce like it used to, but if you ever watch a UCF game on TV you'll notice just how much the camera shakes compared to a game in most places.
I went to Temple and we absolutely hated the fact that the stadium wasn't on campus. That's why there were very low attendances on "regular" games compared to the basketball games
You’re off on the pro team tenures in the Liberty Bowl, the WFL Southmen/Grizzlies lasted for 2 seasons, the USFL Showboats lasted 2 seasons as well, while the CFL Mad Dogs and XFL Maniaxs lasted only one season each in Memphis.
Thanks for another video. I've always thought that Navy second deck of seats were sit too far back. Should've been moved forward a little to create more of a overhang with the first deck....The same with SMU. The second level of seating should've been raised up like a true second deck....USF and Temple need their own stadiums. Something similar in design to Tulane's would work....Also, Memphis needs a new stadium too.
When you are bounded left and right by Maryland State buildings (Annapolis is the capital) and have to get the funds for modifying the building from the DOD, its not going to change anytime soon. It was built with that old school style layout.
"Yes in this conference there's the Navy, and a team called the Pirates, but the one with the ship in their stadium are the Bulls. What a load of bullshit!" LOLOLOLOLOL that was hilarious
Fun Fact about the Bounce House: On opening night they ran out of water bottles, and didn't have any drink fountains, so more than 30 people got hospitalised with heatstroke
Tulsa was trying to use Golden Tornado, but Georgia Tech was using the nickname at that time. They went with Golden Hurricane after that. I believe it was named after a dust storm.
Spectrum was its old naming rights deal, originally Bright House Networks. It expired after 2019, and political interference with an attempted naming rights deal with a roofing company resulted in it taking "Bounce House" instead, which was the fan nickname. I think they're still trying to get a naming rights deal. A lot of fans want SpaceX.
10:12 An even better question to ask is when has a hurricane ever reach the middle state of Oklahoma? I'm sure by the time the storm reaches Oklahoma, it's already been downgraded to a tropical storm at best.
Golden Hurricane is a reference to the tornadoes in Oklahoma. Rolls off the tongue better than the Tulsa Tornadoes or Tulsa Twisters. But you are right by the time an actual hurricane reaches Oklahoma its just a plain storm.

A good amount of former Conference USA schools went to the American Athletic Conference 7 years ago when it first started.
I swear the music you played at Tulsa scared the freak out of me
Your channel is awesome, I really enjoy it
Cheers!
The episode I’ve been waiting for!!
Gerald Ford-Gerald R. Ford, that is, not the guy Gerald J. Ford Stadium was named after-was President of the United States for about 2½ years after having a cup of coffee as Vice President.
Glad someone else heard the same thing and was like, WTF?
Something tells me that this video might not be completely accurate in a few years
I went to Temple and we absolutely hated the fact that the stadium wasn't on campus.
AAC has some pretty nice stadiums all around.
I was at the navy stadium yesterday. Awesome stadium
Nice call. I laughed out loud.
USF, Temple and Memphis play in rented stadium.
UCF's stadium is only nicknamed the Bounce House and is actually Spectrum Stadium. Additionally a Golden Hurricane refers to a tornado.
I understand Temple is considering building a more size appropriate stadium closer to campus. But who knows when that might happen.
We do get a lot of sideways rain here in Houston.
I like them all but ECU and Tulane are my favorite
I'm a UH alum, but I really like Navy's stadium. Quite impressive. UH's stadium is way too gray. Needs a lot more red inside.
Once COVID is over I’m buying my tickets to the Dougie McNugget concert
The jet at the navy stadium is a former jet used by the Blue Angels, an aerobatics flight squadron.
Can you do the MAC conference next
They should be next. They are the only FBS Conference left.
Fun Fact about the Bounce House: On opening night they ran out of water bottles, and didn't have any drink fountains, so more than 30 people got hospitalised with heatstroke
Dowdy ficklen is also a natural grass stadium and the footage is dated. New pressbox.
I like this guy’s humor 👍🏿
Can you do CAA conference next (FCS football)? Would love your take on James Madison's Bridgeforth Stadium.
nippert stadium is so fucking sick man like fr fr. it shows the cincy skyline and the campus is beautiful.
Tulsa was trying to use Golden Tornado, but Georgia Tech was using the nickname at that time. They went with Golden Hurricane after that. I believe it was named after a dust storm.
brilliant video mate 😉 would love to know your favorite conference/team’s stadium once you’re done bro
Man that liberty bowl in Memphis is awesome..
Some of those stadiums don't look like they have any parking at all. Must be difficult during high capacity games.
Golden Hurricane is a reference to the massive dust stroms that would sweep through Oklahoma during the 1800s
Even driving by during UCF games its scary the noise and vibration. Sometimes its called Spectrum Staduim
This is very interesting. I didn’t know that the SMU football stadium was named after Gerald Ford. 🤔
Rowdy Dowdy has a new press box complete with a bar inside.
The jet is one of the Blue Angels, a demo flight squad for Air shows across the country, as this would suggest the Blue Angels represent the Navy.
Any chance of doing a best or largest of high school football stadiums? Texas, Ohio, and the south east have a ton of great venues
Yeah, this flyover of UCF’s stadium is easily 5 years out of date.
Golden hurricane is a reference to the dust storms of the dust bowl era.
The wide world of stadiums you are a pretty good rapper
daily dose of stadium therapy
Awesome video! I was a student at UCF when we opened our on-campus football stadium simultaneously with our basketball arena in 2007! What a great time in my life!
