Recently went to Canvas Stadium at CSU. It’s like a mini NFL stadium it’s so impressive. Reminds me of Louisville’s Cardinal Stadium, or my alma mater UH’s TDECU Stadium.
While the Air Force Stadium does look cool its a pain in the ass to get in and out of. Since it’s on a military base, you have to go through a security check and there’s only 2 entrances on the base. This was shown in 2020 when the Colorado Avalanche played a hockey game at the stadium. The line to get into the parking lot was 3 hours long, it snowed the week before so it was muddy in the parking lot and it took 3 hours to get out of the stadium after the game ended. Also someone jumped off a bridge after the game, so everyone had to go out one entrance. A lot of people didn’t get back to Denver until 1am.
Albertson's Stadium is my fave. Actually, it was built on an ancient Smurf burial ground. You can still hear Jokey snicker every time you flush the toilet. Seriously, the scenic views make these stadiums some of the best in college football. Great work. Can't wait for the next one. Lol, you said Isotopes, Aussie.
War Memorial stadium has great atmosphere. They have a large student section and many people make the drive to Laramie from Cheyenne and other parts. UW is the only four-year college in the state, so you never know where people are from within Wyoming. Canvas Stadium is a great venue, too. I saw a game at the CSU stadium before Canvas, Hughes Stadium. We had to park way out in a field after driving to the boonies, and walk in about .75 miles to get to the grounds. I’m glad the Rams chose on campus for their new digs.
I traveled to a CSU game against San Diego State at Hughes Stadium for Halloween in 1986. It was in the 30s when my plane loaded. It snowed right up to the Nov.1 kickoff and I remember the snowball fights from the people in the stands there the whole game. When SDSU earned the win 27-26 that day, I was atop the press box which had 100 rows of seats on that side of that stadium. Next, SDSU has won games against Boise on the blue turf.
Even though I’m a Washington Huskies fan and a pac 12 guy when it comes to college football. But I always have a lot of respect for the mountain west conference. Especially because that’s a conference that doesn’t get a whole lot of attention and doesn’t get a whole lot of love or respect from the college football. And it’s like if you think the Pac 12 doesn’t get any respect or doesn’t get taken as seriously, The Mountain West conference gets even more less. Especially because of the SEC and ACC separatists in college football. And the people that control the college football playoff. Also I’m sure some of their teams haven’t even won a national championship at all. And also conferences like the mountain west or one of the big reasons why the college football playoff needs to expanded to 12 or 18 teams. Give more teams an opportunity to compete for a championship.
Well it’s because the Mountain West aren’t one of the “Power 5” conferences in college football That said, as an Arizona State Sun Devils fan and fellow PAC guy I also share your affection for the Mountain West… They are like our Group of 5 brethren

I'll also always be rooting for the Pac 12 because I want west coast football to be taken seriously again. I respect the pac 12 teams that give us MW teams a chance to prove ourselves. #godogs #godawgs
Or a whole lot of money. It's way too easy for fans of P5 schools to look down their noses at MWC teams, without even taking into consideration, the HUGE wealth gap that P5 schools and fans have enjoyed for decades! One need only look at what having more money has done for former G5 schools, now in P5 conferences, to see what money can do for an athletic program. Schools like mine HAVE TO play money/bodybag games, on the road, to help fund their programs. Props to G5 schools that have done so much with so little!
As a TCU fan, I understand what you're talking about. A Mountain West team has to pretty much go undefeated to even get a nod of recognition from the P5 base. The P5 teams, especially Big 10 / Wisconsin didn't like having to acknowledge a "little sister of the poor" competing in the Rose Bowl. But TCU proved that a good Mountain West team could compete with, and win against, P5 schools. It's the 2022 Bowl Season and I still find myself rooting for Mountain West teams (and very much enjoyed the pleasure of watching Air Force dominate Baylor at the Armed Forces Bowl, which takes place in TCU's stadium). 😁 🐸
I just looked this place up. Wow, it is small -- really, really small. The maximum capacity is going to be 9,000 for 2021 - 2023. They've got to have a new home for football as soon as possible, I can't imagine the university is going to make any money with only 9,000 people in the stands. Mind you I lived in NYC my whole life so when it was cold here on Christmas Day, it was cool seeing the Aloha Bowl and Aloha Stadium in glorious weather and scenery.
Cool video. My experience having watched games in a few of these stadiums is that the seating layout is the most important thing for a paying spectator. I went to the Las Vegas Bowl at Sam Boyd Stadium a couple times, and the seats were really good. You were close to the field with unobstructed view. I also went to games at the old Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, and there was no such thing as a good seat. Row 10 at the 50 yard line, supposedly the best seat in the house, was far enough from the field that you would have had to have a pretty good throwing arm to throw a ball standing next to your seat and have it land on the field. From the upper deck the players looked like ants, you needed field glasses to watch the game.
the old UNLV stadium was in a really scenic location. Nice mix of desert and mountains. SJSU is basically a really large high school stadium. and Fresno State's is the best. I am an alumni, so I'm a bit biased, of course.
UNLV getting to play in Allegiant Stadium was likely a condition of the Raiders receiving public funding to help build the stadium, as UNLV is one of Nevada's 2 main public universities and the stadium was funded with a statewide hotel tax

@@teller1290 I agree that's it's not as bad as say Boise or EWU, but they all come off as tacky. Then again, I feel the same about the fields that alternate shades of green every 5 yards. Grass in real life doesn't look like that.
The south endzone is where they erect tents for the beer garden and other sponsor/booster events. There's a new "Champions Venue" Training center being built in that area now. Not sure where the beer garden will get moved to.
I tried out for the Wyoming American Football team, since I was a pretty good soccer player. But they wanted to pick my classes and since I was changing majors, going from Engineering and changing to Pre-Med, and they wanted me to move into the Jock Dorm, I said no thanks. It was great kicking at such altitude. And I would have loved to try kickoff attempts with wide receivers since I was a good passer, at soccer that is. I think this is a little developed tactic in American Football. But most coaches had too much experience playing without a helmet.
That was last season. This season all their home games will be at Allegiant Stadium. Sam Boyd Stadium will eventually be demolished and UNLV will sell the land to the highest bidder.
Need for field repairs is kept to a minimum due to the use of precision munitions. Casualties numbers are classified, but it's definitely a tough place to play for the opposition;-)
I believe Boise state has actually bought the rights to Astro turf. Which is the company that made the field. And if I'm not mistaken any other team who wants a colored field has to get permission from them first. On that note go check out eastern Washington field
It'll never happen. We actually need a NEW stadium, but there just isn't any interest in college football here. During the Rocky Long years, we use to get 30-35k a game, and even 40k a couple times. But with the program in shambles for quite a few years now, due to bad hires and player issues too, I'm praying that Danny G. and the return of Rocky, can at least bring the program back to bowl eligibility again. It's not a bad area to live actually, but its proven very tuff to bring in top recruits here.
The new Utah State stadium looks 100× better than that dump you just showed us. This should be redone soon, as soon as you're done with all the other conferences. First things first.
As a forestry major, I also love the Wyoming Jubilee Pine Cedar Oak tree. Too bad they're being infested by the Dancing Quandor Beetles from Northern Canada.
Utah State and Colorado State would make great additions to the PAC 12- Would rekindle the CSU-CU and USU-UU rivalries Although I’ll be honest, any Power 5 conference should want BSU in there
rip Jack Murphy Stadium. Great place to catch Aztecs and, at one time, Chargers and Padres games. Best tailgating experience on the west coast, along with our bros in Oakland and Candlestick. Wish there was some way they could have kept and fixed it up, it was a San Diego icon. Nothing a little investment, a reconfiguration of the field level stands for better football sightlines, and maybe a downsizing after the Chargers left couldn't have fixed.
I’m from Oakland and have been to many games at the crumbling Oakland Coliseum I didn’t think there could possibly be a worse stadium and then I saw Aloha Stadium when I went to Hawaii a couple years ago. It makes the Coliseum look like the Taj Mahal.
It’s gotta suck to be a student who goes to games or a player for San Diego State. Until the new stadium is complete their home games are a 2 hour drive from campus

I saw C. Carolina field for first time last ye. Unlike the test, I actually like that one. It's basically green but prettier, not distracting.
Can you do Missouri Valley FCS Conference next or the Pac-12?
UNLV will still play 2 or 3 home games at Sam Boyd. The Raiders were dickish to UNLV.
That was last season. This season all their home games will be at Allegiant Stadium. Sam Boyd Stadium will eventually be demolished and UNLV will sell the land to the highest bidder.
wait SDSU is going to play all their games in Carson CA this year???
Pricelessly Specific!
I like the pine trees behind the end zone at Wyoming’s stadium
I had no idea AFA dropped ordinance on their opponents. How many fatalities has there been and how do they repair their field?
Need for field repairs is kept to a minimum due to the use of precision munitions. Casualties numbers are classified, but it's definitely a tough place to play for the opposition;-)
Not to be that guy but Maverick Stadium hasn't looked like that since like 2013 or 2014
I believe Boise state has actually bought the rights to Astro turf. Which is the company that made the field. And if I'm not mistaken any other team who wants a colored field has to get permission from them first. On that note go check out eastern Washington field
They have a trademark over colored turf
UNM seriously needs to consider significant renovation of University Stadium 🐺🐺🐺🐺
Could you do C-USA football stadiums
"There's literally like 3 kangaroos outside my window right now" had me dying
UNLV Stadium reminded me of the LA Coliseum in the Rose Bowl combine a site that I only to go to their new stadium the Raiders and UNLV play
Go Nevada!
The Nevada stadium intro was hilarious. I honestly think the Air Force stadium is one of the coolest in the nation.
War Memorial on the high plains of Laramie Wyoming is college football heaven in the fall...10 below zero and 40 mph winds...
You should do SEC baseball stadiums
Another week week another week disappointed to not see the PAC 12, great video nonetheless
Hey if you were to visit 10 college football stadiums on a game day, which ones would you?
Albuquerque Isotopes was mentioned on an episode of the Simpsons
I want to see the PAC 12 stadiums looks like that will be interesting to see
The new Utah State stadium looks 100× better than that dump you just showed us. This should be redone soon, as soon as you're done with all the other conferences. First things first.
Went to the uw campus for a history day thing in middle school, was a pain to navigate
As a forestry major, I also love the Wyoming Jubilee Pine Cedar Oak tree. Too bad they're being infested by the Dancing Quandor Beetles from Northern Canada.
Utah State and Colorado State would make great additions to the PAC 12- Would rekindle the CSU-CU and USU-UU rivalries
Although I’ll be honest, any Power 5 conference should want BSU in there
Those lights are really something
San Diego State stadium. Place gets likes 340 days a year of rain free but yet has canopies on both sides like an English football stadium.
rip Jack Murphy Stadium.
A long time ago I believe Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama all had checkerboard endzones
Don’t you hate it when the Air Force calls an air strike on you mid game instead of launching victory fireworks?
😂😂😂😂
I want them to bring back tribute uniforms to the old "Flying Tigers."
Pretty sure the Hawaii stadium is currently getting gutted / rebuilt currently
I’m from Oakland and have been to many games at the crumbling Oakland Coliseum I didn’t think there could possibly be a worse stadium and then I saw Aloha Stadium when I went to Hawaii a couple years ago. It makes the Coliseum look like the Taj Mahal.
Crazy now that bulldog stadium is now known as Valley Children’s Stadium
It’s gotta suck to be a student who goes to games or a player for San Diego State. Until the new stadium is complete their home games are a 2 hour drive from campus
Let’s go Fresno State 🐾💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️
The image you used for utah state is old we upgraded the west side it looks a ton better then the images you used
Absolutely.
