It is my pleasure to share with your Fran. Thank you for the lovely compliment. Thank you also for taking the time to view my tutorial. Have a wonderfully creative weekend.
I absolutely LOVE this technique!! We all have different tools and supplies, but using something recycled or super cheap like TP is brilliant because we ALL have it!! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for viewing Leslie, and leaving me this kind comment. I had so much fun making this card. I need to revisit this technique soon. haha Have a wonderful weekend.
Good afternoon Sharon. Thanks so much for taking the time to view my tutorial. I hope you enjoy the process of creating yours. It is a card I want to revisit on another tutorial. Have a Blessed New Year and I would love to hear what you thought of creating it. smiles

Thank you so much Liz. I have to revisit this technique again soon. I really like how this card turned out. haha It is an oldie but goodie for sure. hahaha Have a very creative day today. Thanks for making my day.
Thank you , thank you! I thought I was the only person who used toilet paper... and the white sheets from separated napkins.... to make the most beautiful stuff! So thrilled... that I have found a tutorial that actually shows this clever technique!
Good afternoon. I am delighted that you enjoyed this tutorial. I didn't know how to edit/voiceover when I created this one so I am glad you found it nice to view. I appreciate your kindness also. Have yourself a wonderful week and hope it is a creative one. smiles
You ARE a genius, Carol. So very beautiful & every video I learn something new. Now I have got to get me an embossing machine so I can play, too. Thank you for sharing your vast knowledge & prayerfully you feel better, you add so much to our lives. Hugs lady (Felicia, Texas)
Good evening. Thank you for taking the time to view this older tutorial of mine. smile I have to revisit some of my older videos so I can create another project using the products I have in my stash but don't use often. (except the toilet tissue) of course. hahahaha I would love to hear how your project went and how you used the tissue to create your work. Have a wonderful weekend.
Carol, lol! I cracked up reading about using the stash!!! I’ll be in the moho until next week & will try it. I might figure out how to do this UA-cam thing and show you! Have a wonderful weekend, too! It’s been raining on and off here-do peaceful. ~Dawnalyn
Hi Carol, That was really a beautiful sympathy card. I have worked with toilet paper and stamps and came out so nice. I also tried small chocolate molds...It has a handmade paper look but with forms and textures. You made me want to do it again...
aww Carol, this is a lovely card, and I love this technique,as you said,no one would ever know that the decoration was made with toilet tissue and kitchen roll.Thank you for sharing, many blessings,Elaine xx
Thank you for your inspiration, and encouragement you always send my way. I had so much fun doing this project. I am going to work on a sewing book for tomorrow. Hope you will like it. smiles....and blessings to you.
I cleaned, and changed my craft room around today. I had my 2 year old grandson for the afternoon, so while he napped, I finished up. I will begin my sewing album soon. Not enough hours in the day.....haha
So glad you liked this card. I enjoyed the process, and the finished result. Such fun to experiment, isn't it? Have a super creative day. Thanks for dropping by.
Another great card with excellent technics, and I love your little images that you use when you are making your video's like the flowers or the bird that just appear on screen, thank you for sharing Carol xx
Thanks so much Catherine. I sure appreciate you liking the little images I place in my tutorials. I buy them so I can add a little smile throughout the video's. Have a wonderful day my friend.
Good evening Annette. Thank you for dropping by. I created this card early in my YT journey and still remember how much fun it was to create. I am so pleased that you viewed and liked it. You are most welcome. Have a Blessed week.
Good evening Linda. Yes, it was a fun tutorial using what we have at our disposal. hahahaha I appreciate you viewing and for the kind compliment. Have a fabulous Labour Day Weekend.
Carol, this is the most incredible tutorial I have ever seen, your technique is amazing. I wish I watches you many years ago. I love tupilo designs. thank you so very much for this wonderful and unique video. God bless!
God Bless you also my friend. I had a blast creating this one. I remember it like it was yesterday. haha I hope this finds you well. Have a fantastic weekend ok? You are a wonderful supporter and a kind friend.
You must have watched the Carol Duvall show when she was on years ago. That's where I first learned about this technique. Thank you for bringing it back!!
Now isn't that something. I don't know if I ever watched her, but I am glad she brought it to begin with. hahaha Have a super day today. Thanks for stopping by today. smile
Stunning effects! Have used TP with deep rubber stamps many years before! Never considered using embossing folders. Great idea to try in the future! May you have a blessed day and I hope you are feeling much better by now! xxxx
Good evening Pam. I am delighted to hear that you liked this cute project. If I do say so myself. hahahaha It is nice to receive such a kind compliment. Have yourself a delightful weekend.
+Joanne Vargas You are welcome Joanne. I made a stamped image toilet tissue picture last years, and stamped into the tissue, and then when it dried, I painted the textured parts. I was reminded of that when I did this card. smiles. Have a great day.
Hello Carol :) Lovely card :) I like to play with the TP and embossing folders too, but I had never thought to die cut my papers, thank you for that great tip :) tfs, and I hope you have an Outstanding Day :) amy
Good evening Esther. You are most welcome. Thank YOU for taking the time to view my work and responding letting me know your thoughts. I had a blast creating this project. smiles Have yourself a fantastic week. Blessings.
Hi Carol, I just found your channel from one of those on the side that says that I might like... Well I love this video, you voice is wonderful, and like someone said ..you don't have blasting music in the background. I love that you take us step by step... I have to go and take a peak at your other videos...I am new subscriber now..thanks again. :)
Good afternoon Teresa. What a delightful compliment to receive today. I am so glad you found my channel. This is an older card creation that I loved to create. Toilet tissue makes wonderful flowers as they are so moldable and dry quickly so the layers peel back and you end up with remarkable floral designs. I hope you are able to find some inspiration as I am preparing to post my Christmas Cards soon. Thank you for subscribing to my Channel and I am always available if you have any questions about what I create and how I create it. Have a wonderful week. Thanks again for the encouragement. Blessings
Good afternoon Yolanda. I am delighted that you enjoyed this tutorial. I know you will love this technique as much as I did. Have a very creative week.
Good evening. I really enjoyed creating this card for so many reasons. smiles I am delighted you also like it. Thanks again for the kind encouragement. Have a great week.
I cannot express adequately just how much I appreciate you sharing so much information about tools and techniques. Your creativity is amazing! I SO appreciate your willingness to share your work and your tips, it's so very kind of you. BTW, I've been binge watching your videos. I am SO IN LOVE! lol
You are too kind and I appreciate it very much. I really enjoy creating and the whole process of editing/voiceovers and of course the project itself seeing it come alive. I am creating a Christmas Album currently that I can hardly wait to share. It is for my LDRS Creative Design Team Projects New Release and its AMAZING as far as the Release is concerned. smiles I was not saying my album was amazing but the products can't me a project look anything but great. hahahaha I have the flu so the voiceover is going to have to be put on hold until I can stop coughing. lol Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm over my work. It blesses my soul for sure. Have a lovely week.
Praying you're all better... SOON. lol And I mean that in the most unselfish way possible : ) I'm excited to see what you've created. You've definitely peaked my interest. Rest and recover.
Good morning Angela. Thank you for taking the time to view this fun card tutorial. I enjoyed the process of creating it for sure. I am sorry for the delay in responding to your nice comment. I was dealing with a barometric migraine and have been away from my computer until it ran its course. Have yourself a lovely week. Blessings
Thanks so much Marie. I must have ran out of card stock when creating this one. hahahahaha I appreciate you stopping by to leave some kindness. Have a super week.
Beautiful!!! Tim Holtz says not to heat texture paste because it puffs up. If he knew me he would have said go ahead a use your heat tool. When someone says don't do it, well I'm going to at least give it a try. Haha. I can't wait to get out some tt and pt.
Very nice card. It's not your basic sympathy card it would lift up the person receiving it... your pic of black squirrel is beautiful too. Dont see too many around as we use too. Thank you for video. Will be trying...
Good afternoon Laura. Thank you for taking the time to view my tutorial. It was some time ago I created this and I think my thought process was using tissue as it was for a Sympathy Card. I love to create flower arrangements with toilet tissue as it dries and keeps its shape so well. You can then spray the flower with your favourite mist and it is completed. Here is a tutorial I did with tissue if you are interested. ua-cam.com/video/BEneMNYl35k/v-deo.html I appreciate your kind compliment. Have fun creating with tissue. I hope you have a great week. Blessings
@@CarolHeld thank you for replying back. Will check that video out. I've done some of the cricut rolled flowers, not many .it's like quilling ,which I did years ago. Want to try toilet paper with embossing folders. That's kinda interesting too.only seen a couple of videos of that being done.. Have a Happy Thanksgiving to you and family..
Good afternoon Lori. I am delighted you stumbled across my channel as well. haha I appreciate you taking the time to view this tutorial and for the sweet compliment. Have a wonderfully creative week.
Good morning. Thank you so much for stopping by to view this tutorial. I hope that you enjoy every minute of creating this card. Who would have thought there would be a shortage of toilet paper like this today. smiles Have a Blessed day.
Amazing !!! Had to laugh that we had to provide our own toilet paper.. hahaha.. Beaufitul card Carol.. As always.. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.. Huggss Mary Beth.
+Mary Bolieu You are most welcome Mary. I had fun making this one, that,s for sure. Who knows, we may run out of paper one day, and toilet tissue to the rescue...hahaha Have a great day Mary.
I LOVE this idea, but I was wondering what holds them together after they're dry and put on a card? Do the layers not come apart? Also, did you ever make a video showing what you did with the coffee cups? If so, could you link it? Thank you, Carol...your ideas never end!!! TYFS!!!
You are most welcome Cindy. The toilet tissue will dry together well, and if I think they are not going to stand the test of time, I put it through the Big Shot in an embossing folder to drive them together. hahahahahaha I did the coffee cup one, and it was missing on my Mac in a folder, and it just disappeared. I am having Mac issues for some reason, dealing with them every day just to upload to my external hard drive is causing me hours of unnecessary work, and time. UGH.....hahaha I lost that video when I switched from PC to the MAC. So very sorry. I have 4 cards I have going up tomorrow sometime. LOL Maybe that can be a truce. hahahahaha Have a great creative week my friend. Thanks for your kindness.
Carol Held Thanks for the reply, Carol. I certainly understand computer problems...am having one myself right now. Thx for all the info...looking forward to seeing your new ideas!!! 😊
Oh no, I feel so sorry for you Cindy. I found through the ages of time that we always hate what we don't know, right? hahahaha The computer is not my friend right now. Ugh. I will prevail however. I don't give up on anything that is in my power to figure out. teehee. It is friends like yourself that makes me not give up, and press forward to the end. hahahaha Thanks for such a lovely time of conversation. You are so sincere, and caring.
I think you will like the next card. It is so different from the first. teehee Just giving you a little nudge to want to view it. haha Thanks for the lovely chit chat this evening.
What a stunning card!! I am so anxious to try this technique. My only question was once the TP cut out image(s) or the sentiment is dry, it looks like you attach them "as is" with whatever glue you prefer....meaning...you aren't die cutting (like with cardstock) the images again, to glue the TP pieces to it. Know what I mean??
Yes, I put the images straight to the card with my tombo glue I think. Hot glue works well too.....You don't have to die cut again. Hope this helps you. Is this what you mean? Just let me know.
Hello. I have never seen or heard of this technique before. So cool and so beautiful. I do have a question though... You were joking around about your supply list but that we would have to supply our own paper towels or toilet paper. You mentioned the number of "sheets" of toilet paper you used for your pieces. So, do you use single or double-ply toilet paper in your projects? Lol, I can't believe I'm asking this question. But I have double-ply toilet paper.... So for your projects, would a piece or sheet of double-ply count as one sheet or two? Lol, thanks!!!
+Toni Romero When you use large dies, use single ply, and sentiments, the more the better. Just give it a try with what you have, and you'll know the answers you are asking. lol Thanks for watching .....
Hi Carol, I was thinking of you today and ran across this 'toot' from 2016 and have a question! Will the toilet paper or paper towels still puff up when drying naturally or do you still have to blow dry the paper? I hope your weekend is going well with you! Carol-Lynn
Hi Carol-Lynn . I just looked at this card today. It is exactly like the day I created it. hahaha I thought I may need the toilet paper later. hahahahahaha Just kidding.....smile It is great hearing from you my friend. I don't know if air drying will work the same. I think if you have a hair dryer if you don't have a heat tool will work as well. I hope you are doing well. Have a blessed weekend.
@@CarolHeld Thank you, I do have an embossing tool but not a heat tool, and goodie I do have a hairdryer so I will give that a try as well! At the beginning of this COVID-19 people stocked up on toilet paper and it is still a bit scarce around here...so may have to wait until they get it re-stocked! lol. Carol-Lynn
Good morning to you Alma. Thanks so much for the kind compliment. I am delighted you enjoyed it and that it inspired you to give it a try. Have a fantastic day today. smile
Good evening. Thank you for stopping by to view this fun tutorial. I appreciate the encouragement also. I use hot soapy water with a toothbrush to get in the creases. hahaha Have a fabulous week.
Good Evening Bernice. I would double wax paper, and I think that you would get the same effect. Please let me know how that works for you. I am almost positive that would be awesome. Have a wonderful week.
Good afternoon Dot. I understand where you are coming from here. haha If you saw it in real life it doesn't appear to be made with tissue paper. It is subtle and elegant. I appreciate your take on it, however. I gave this to a friend that does refurbishing on furnishings to look Shabby. She lost her Aunt who loved the outdoors and decorated her house in ecliptic fashion. The leaves she said is what she liked about the card. We all have a special someone that would appreciate the different things in life. Have a wonderful week my friend. You know I appreciate hearing from you and your thoughts on things I create. Blessings
+Mel B,s paper creations Thanks so much for stopping by this evening. I guess it is morning...hahaha I am so glad you liked it. Have yourself a wonderful week. I just Subscribed to your Channel. smiles
Good evening Lauren. Why thank you so much for going back to one of my earlier tutorials. I must admit this was one of my faves to create. I need to recreate it soon. smile Have a fantastic week.
I am a beginner and I have a question. What am I doing wrong using a cutting die? Not every point is cut . I am a beginner and I have a question. What am I doing wrong using a cutting die? Not every point is cut .
Welcome Inka. If you don't get a clean cut, just add some paper to the top of the die to give it some weight when going through the die cutting machine. It will also take a thin shim of metal over the die to see if it needs that kind of weight also. Either one should help you. Hope this was helpful. Thank you for sharing tonight. Have a wonderful week.
Very interesting technique - I can't wait to try it. Thank you. But the camera going in and out of focus and all the movement from the different picture frames was hard on my eyes.
Me too! I had previously subscribed but had to unsubscribe because all that was making me nauseous and giving me a headache! But… Carol,, your work is so interesting. I have subscribed again and I will give a second chance to watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your talent with us! P.S. This is a gorgeous gorgeous card! I will try this technique. Donna
I also found going from one frame to another spoilt the video for me. I loved the technique and will try it but I must say I would have rather watch it with a straight shoot. Thank you so much.
I am so sorry about that. I always try to keep in mind to keep my voice loud...haha I have a soft voice to begin with, so I consciously have to remember to talk loud....Hope that you heard something...lol. Have a wonderful weekend.
Good morning Christina. I can't remember off hand which one I had here. I use a large one from the Dollar store and my Tim Holtz Spritzer bottle that you can get at Scrapbook.com Hope this is what you were asking about. smiles
Good evening Dolores. Yes, I know that sometimes I had to work when my family was sleeping so I found myself speaking softer than usual. I also didn't have proper equipment to get good sound. I had just began UA-cam and had so much to learn. I am still learning but I did get experience by reading the things I lacked so now I can move forward with the new equipment and comments that helped me realize what I needed to improve. Thank you very much. Have yourself a wonderful week. Blessings.
@@CarolHeld This has been the one complaint I've had with your website. Well, sometimes you go on and on but in the end the results are worth the time. I would have thought after these years you would have made it to better sound or recorded when your family is awake. You seem like a nice person and very dedicated to your viewers so maybe you will make it easier for us to understand what you are trying to show us. This is not meant to be rude, just tired of turning up sound and it is not I that am the problem.
Good evening Joanne. I am so sorry that this tutorial is one of my older, and oh so inexperienced tutorial. I didn't know how to edit/voiceover as I do now, and I was just trying to do what I know at the time. haha I hope this doesn't scare you away from viewing more recent tutorials. Sorry about this tutorial. Have a wonderful evening, and weekend coming up.
Very poorly made, very jumpy minute after watching for headache. Though it is excellent idea con't complete . If you van remake it that will be wonderful .
Good lovely evening to you Teena. I do apologize for this tutorial. I agree with you on the quality of this because it was one of my early tutorials when I had a very inexpensive camera and was very new to the UA-cam video process. I will place this on my remake list now that I have had time over the past few years to get experience and better equipment. hahaha Thank you for bring this to my attention. I appreciate it very much. I am also pleased that you will watch a remake of it as well. Blessings!

Beautiful!!! Tim Holtz says not to heat texture paste because it puffs up. If he knew me he would have said go ahead a use your heat tool. When someone says don't do it, well I'm going to at least give it a try. Haha. I can't wait to get out some tt and pt.
Have a blast creating Jonie. Have a lovely weekend as well my friend.
Here is a tutorial I did with tissue if you are interested. ua-cam.com/video/BEneMNYl35k/v-deo.html
I appreciate your kind compliment.
Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to try this technique.
Absolutely beautiful! I'm so glad I stumbled on to your site 😊
Good afternoon Lori. I am delighted you stumbled across my channel as well. haha I appreciate you taking the time to view this tutorial and for the sweet compliment. Have a wonderfully creative week.
Beautiful card thank you for sharing this
Hugs
+Grandmasandy100 Thanks ever so much Sandy....Hugs back
Love this idea and the final product I love. This reminded me that this was a technique I wanted to try. L,D
Thanks for you continual kindness DeAnne.
Many thanks. I will be doing this very soon.
Just brilliant! Cant wait to try this. I have a UA-cam folder labeled -
CAROL Held amazing tutorials!♡♡♡♡
That is so sweet. haha I have my own file....It doesn't get any better than that right? hahaha
Absolutely gorgeous ♡♡
Thanks again Christina. I enjoyed this card. I did this a while back. I should do a retake on it. hahaha
Carol this isa beautiful sympathy card. I also love how you made those coffee mugs the quilted look you gave them.
+msmartinigirl1 Thanks so much my friend. I enjoyed the process so much. Have a great day.
Very beautiful card. Thanks for the inspiration. tfs ♡ Carmen
+Maksnana2012 Thanks for dropping by Carmen, and for the sweet compliment. Have a lovely week.
I have several containers of Nuvo embossing paste that would be perfect for this. I just put your video in my UA-cam Favorites playlist.
Awwww, thanks ever so much for doing that Barbara. This is my sister's name. smiles Have a great week. hugs
Ooooo just an idea...spray the TP/PT with a little perfume/cologne/body spray and send a sweet surprise!!!
Now that is a nice idea.....thanks Cindy.
At the beginning of this COVID-19 people stocked up on toilet paper and it is still a bit scarce around here...so may have to wait until they get it re-stocked! lol. Carol-Lynn
Definitely going to try it
Good morning to you Alma. Thanks so much for the kind compliment. I am delighted you enjoyed it and that it inspired you to give it a try. Have a fantastic day today. smile
How do you clean your embossing folder when using the paste on it ?
Good evening. Thank you for stopping by to view this fun tutorial. I appreciate the encouragement also. I use hot soapy water with a toothbrush to get in the creases. hahaha Have a fabulous week.
just inspirational!!!
Thanks so much Gloria. Have a Blessed New Year.
YOUR WORK IS SO SO NICE. I LOVE IT .DO YOU HAVE TO 2LAYERS ON PAPPER TOWERS? THANK YOU.
I am so sorry I missed your comment Judy. Yes, this is a two layer towel. smile Have a great weekend.
Alex, and Shiela....I can't seem to get a response out to you for some reason. I am not sure why.
Thanks, but what if you don't have velum. What should you use?
Good Evening Bernice. I would double wax paper, and I think that you would get the same effect. Please let me know how that works for you. I am almost positive that would be awesome. Have a wonderful week.
It is a really awesome technique, but I am not really sure about sending out a grungy Sympathy card.
Blessings
this is way cool, tfs xo
+Mel B,s paper creations Thanks so much for stopping by this evening. I guess it is morning...hahaha I am so glad you liked it. Have yourself a wonderful week. I just Subscribed to your Channel. smiles
Amazing!
Carla Held Many thanks, Dear.I will.Wish You an amazing week.
Being a newbie to this, it was confusing to me. Can you make a beginner video for us who are just learning? Thank you.
Good morning Debbie. Do you want a beginner video on this particular card? Thanks for taking the time to view. Have a great day.
Donna
Sorry about that Wendy. I will more cautious the next time I make a video ......Thanks for letting me know this. Have a wonderful day.
Sorry about that Donna. I will make sure I am aware of camera movements for sure. Thank you for subscribing again. Have a lovely day.
I also found going from one frame to another spoilt the video for me. I loved the technique and will try it but I must say I would have rather watch it with a straight shoot. Thank you so much.
Beautiful
Thanks so much Judy. I am thankful you enjoyed this tutorial. Have a wonderful week.
I am so sorry about that. I always try to keep in mind to keep my voice loud...haha I have a soft voice to begin with, so I consciously have to remember to talk loud....Hope that you heard something...lol. Have a wonderful weekend.
Can you use a regular heat gun?
Yes, you can use any heat tool DeAnne. smiles
I forgot to ask you where you got your spray bottle?? TIA
Good morning Christina. I can't remember off hand which one I had here. I use a large one from the Dollar store and my Tim Holtz Spritzer bottle that you can get at Scrapbook.com Hope this is what you were asking about. smiles
How in the world do you think to use toilet paper!!???? I have die cuts of the mugs and marshmallow set thank you!!
So pleased you liked it. haha Have a nice day today Pam.
I like your videos but have trouble hearing you except if I crank up the volume!!!
Really great technique! But the video was out of focus a lot.
Hi Nadine. Yes, this was one of my earlier video's where I didn't have a great camera, nor did I have experience. hahaha Have a lovely day.
You might try talking instead of near whispering. That would help.
Can’t waste paper towels or toilet paper now! March 2020 #coronavirus
You are so right Shannon. This will possibly be my last resort in time. hahaha Have a lovely week of creativity my friend.
please turn up your volume. can not hear your soft voice.
GOYJUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSS
Thank you so much
Very poorly made, very jumpy minute after watching for headache.
Blessings!
@@CarolHeld I am sorry about it. But please redo it I am going try any way. Thanks for sharing.
This video was very hard to watch. The fast movement and out of focus was not very pleasant.
I am sorry. I will try better the next video for sure.
So gorg
+KitKat Thanks my friend. Enjoy your week.
