Love, love, love those little hands. I think you are one of the few moms who allows your little ones to stamp with you on camera, and in my book, that's admirable. Blessings.
Oh my goodness! Get Well Soon is the perfect sentiment for this style card. Gorgeous card! I love the vintage photo color with the purple wash of color on the butterfly! Love, love this!!!
The brown tissue paper is brilliant. I love the whole sepia tone from Kraft card to the brown stamps. The coloured butterfly is perfect. Inspirational ❤
Delightful to see sewing pattern paper used this way. I used to sew a lot and have used many, many patterns til they were shreds. That was prior to this crafting craze. Which is now my go to hobby.
I am squealing with delight at your lovely card!! I am overjoyed with delight because I have so many old patterns in my stash (gasp - can I get myself to cut them is the next question). I needed to "fix" a card last night and figured out a way, but this would have been a great choice! Thank you so much 💓 for sharing your talent and creativity!! The most precious 💖 is when you allow your children to join in "on your knee " - THAT MELTS MY HEART!!!
Natasha, I love the tissue paper technique. My brain cannot remember all of the beautiful ideas so it is nice to see your videos to remind me of all the different ideas out there. You are terrific!
I am in the process of preparing my dining/living room walls for painting. I am doing the tissue paper for texturing. Faster and easier than mudding them. Tried this in my laundry and downstairs family rooms. Loved it. Now that I've moved, I'm doing it again, just different rooms. Love the effect. You can even make it look like leather. Always love seeing those cute little hands. 💜💜💜
This background couldn't be any nicer. I love when you affix the butterfly to simulate flight. It's a beautiful card. I do like how you made extra wrinkles in the other background. It will make another beautiful card. Thanks for another great idea.🌷🌷
Gorgeous card. Love the color combination. Enjoyed watching the process. Your son did a good job stamping that butterfly ? Bet he was happy lending mom a helping hand. So cute. They will always remember spending quality time with mom.
Another winner Natasha. Love how you used the tissues paper from your packaging, what a brilliant way of using what you have. Love how your card turned out, and add just a hint of colour on your butterfly image.
Beautiful card. I have some tissue paper, but have not yet used it for cards. You have added the inspiration I needed, Natasha. I love, love, love that you involve your children in your crafty activities. I love that you model respect and kindness as well. You make a difference!
Especially like the tip to stamp the butterfly first, eliminating need to fussy cut the antennae. These are two beautiful backgrounds and I look forward to trying this. Thanks for sharing.❤
I must be living under a rock because I would have never known you can use tissue to do this! Beautiful card Natasha! I feel like a learn something new every time I watch your videos! ☺
I really like this style! If you're always stressing about things not looking perfect, then this is the card for you. It's meant to have a random look and turns out wonderfully! TFS! Janet 💕
Love the vintage vibe of this card. Great tip to color over the brown wash to subdue the colors. I'm going to look to see if I have sewing patterns🙂 thank you Natasha!
I love this card. It's beautiful. I especially like watching your son's chubby little hands reaching in to help! What a sweetie. He really did an excellent job stamping that butterfly! It was amazing how good of coverage he achieved using an acrylic block. My older sister, brother and I are in the process of helping my mom get rid of some of her "excess" stuff (she's 88)! I'm taking her old patterns, sheet music (she taught music for decades!), books, plus other fun trinkets I can use for mixed media. Watching this video gives me great insight to the beautiful looks one can achieve with old patterns, etc. Hopefully I can make a card in less than a month (lol) using the techniques you've shown! TFS
I've used liquid adhesive, and I've also used Mod Podge with tissue paper and napkins. It works really well too. I love your cards, Natasha! The distress ink made the tissue paper look vintage. It was perfect for your card. Thanks for sharing your videos!
I am really loving the mixed media, mixed background look lately, so thank you for the ideas, I love them. I am thinking too that's a great tecnique for toning down the colours, and I might just use that in future, either before I colour or after adding the colour if it is too bright. much easier than trying to use the complementary colour for that!
I’ve used tissue paper with designs on them and used a purple glue stick to adhere it. The purple just shows me where the glue is as it dries clear. Love your cards!
Didn’t know you could use tissue paper for cards. Your card turned out beautiful. I need to try this technique. I have the Paper Roses sentiments. TFS🌸🦋🦋🦋🌸🌸
I love it that you used what you had. The dress patterns are available here at Op Shops (Charity shops), at a very small price and I love how effective they can be as tissue paper. 😊
I have truly enjoyed watching you and your little ones as you make your cards. I have to say I have now experienced aliexpress and all of their products. I have been on a spending spree for a while, while I acquire products that I need and want. And I do enjoy even more when I do see you do a card with some tools that I've already got. Then I often think of other things that I could do after I've watched your dutorials. Several times I've watched something that you've done and then dreamed about something else only to find that the following morning that my cards turn out the same as in my dream. I to have a small craft room and so I need to take full advantage of the space that I do have. I just bought a brorhers scan n cut. I do have a udo, a cricket , a big shot, a spellbinding die cut, and a foiler. Tons of die cuts , and stamps inkers, markers and all of the basic tools. I don't have the little helping hands
Great card Natasha and what a great way to use the tissue paper that could have easily been just thrown away but you recycled it to make a gorgeous card!!
So so beautiful! I love that your children are a part of the process. I too get carried away with my grand baby and just keep going. Lovely card and a beautiful sentiment to someone you care about. Thanks for sharing.
Love this! Fantastic idea using old sewing patterns that one might collect from the Op Shops or good ol' tissue paper from wrapping or ya shoes in the boxes.
This is gorgeous! You could probably try a light wash of your brown distress ink on the white of the sentiment if it's not a shiny cardstock to give it the same look as the rest of the card. Love the tissue paper technique.
Another great idea, thank you! I’ll be getting my tissue paper out soon, haven’t made a card with it for years! Love your idea of giving the butterfly a light ink wash before colouring to fit in with your background better.
Love what you did with the pattern paper for sewing. I kept some strange paper I got wrapped around some flowers that my husband gave me and now I know what I can do with it. It’s quite flimsy so I will follow your method of glueing it and wrinkling it. Thank you so much for all your wonderful videos. 🥰 That card was really lovely.
Not what I was hoping to see when I started the video, but still some great ideas and beautiful results. I just brought home a huge quantity of patterns because I had been noodling an idea using them, but don’t have it all worked out. If you have more of the paper, I would love to see what you do with the printed pieces. (I am leaning toward layering the pieces.) I would love some ideas or video instructions!!! Thank you for all you do. Enjoy the little hands. Time flies!!
I love your brown tissue paper Butterfly card. I have been sewing for over 60 years, I'm 67 yrs now. Love your gorgeous techniques. Sometimes you can find really old dress patterns at Good Will stores or any here where they sale, second hand down store. Years back went to a mission store and found some really old, old patterns from the 40's or 50's. The tissue had a Beautiful color, I can't describe. If I had known about your technique. I would had bought all the dress patterns. I would have shared with you and other demonstrators or anyone out there. I might still go out and try to find old dress patterns. "So much fun, Natasha!" Thank you so very much and for being so super awesome teacher. Oh by the way, where you get your stamp platform. I didn't see it on your list. I love how it closes, it's like a book. I like it because it's open three ways. Please let me know where you purchase it or the brand of it. Thanks, again.🙏👍💘😍Maria from Texas USA. Love seeing your little bud's hands. So very cute and fun to see. You must be the greatest mommy!
just beautiful! Love the idea of using this type of tissue papers. What a great idea. You made them both look so great. They would also look good for sympathy cards. You always surprise me with all you ideas I thank you for sharing.
Hi Natasha. I've never been a fan of vintage/old/brown things but boy am I changing my mind these days. This card rocks! It is so beautiful. Even I would love to receive a card like this. I'm sure the ill recipient who received your card was cheered up and got well quickly. TFS. 🤗💜
My dear Natasha 🤯...I mean🤯 I am gobsmacked truly. I am a lifelong sewist, the daughter of one, as well. I have enough tissue patterns to paper a small village. It has not occurred to me that pattern tissue would work as well as the packaged product...I have certainly learned from you today. My crafting group loves to give items a second life. And since many of them also sew, we will have plenty of supplies. My junk Journaling friend will love this technique. Thank you Thank you Thank you! So Beautiful 😍💖💗
I use abaca tissue paper - it is very strong and takes paint and dye really well. I "paint" Dyna Flow on freezer paper and set the tissue on top to pick up the colour. I have an abundance of old sewing patterns too so I won't be short of paper to play with having watched this video.
I so enjoy seeing you use what you have. Using the tissue paper packing was genius!!! And we all love seeing how you encourage your little ones to be creative. Thanks for inspiring all of us ♥️
I’ve gotta go hit my thrift store for dressmaker’s patterns. I work part time for a major fabric store/craft store chain, and currently patterns are $12 apiece! I think this idea is so cool! It’s worth trying it at least once!
1 technique I use is 2 glue down string in swirls etc underneath the tissue paper, then streak on gold or silver ink 2 highlight the raised areas. I use tissue from packaging - particularly shop bought items - & keep all my tissue papers in an old tin, as well as having a separate drawer with commercially stamped tissue.
I love these cards, love seeing those adorable little hands in there, he did such a great job….and love hearing about your 6 year old daughter crafting with you. I have a granddaughter who turns 6 on Sunday, and I plan on teaching her all that I can!!!
With your crafting group maybe you should try the air brush painting with the alcohol inks. 5 times I've tried it and hated it. Not until I did get the yupo paper and small air compresser did I fall in love with the alcohol inks. And NOW? OH.... MY.... GOSH! Were in Hawaii right now so when we get home I've got about 5 different t was to try over my alcohol inks. I am so excited . I also have so many ideas just floating around in my head. So of the ideas I can't try yet since I've got things that still need to come in from aliexpress. But most of my ideas have all come about because of you.
I LOVE this! Thank you, Natasha!
Great card. I love that you encourage your children to craft alongside you. I would love to see what you did with the blue card.
The brown tissue paper is brilliant. I love the whole sepia tone from Kraft card to the brown stamps. The coloured butterfly is perfect. Inspirational ❤
he did an awesome job stamping, way to go
Delightful to see sewing pattern paper used this way. I used to sew a lot and have used many, many patterns til they were shreds. That was prior to this crafting craze. Which is now my go to hobby.
The multiple layered effect on the background is wonderful. Looks very artsy ... certainly not generic.
Love love love these cards. You have unbelievable talent. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Natasha, I love the tissue paper technique. My brain cannot remember all of the beautiful ideas so it is nice to see your videos to remind me of all the different ideas out there. You are terrific!
Stunning, stunning, stunning absolutely stunning. Both ideas are incredible, no favourites here, you and your creativeness are the favourites.
Really lovely card. Just love the way the little one pressed down on the stamp with both his hands. I’m sure he will be sending us own video next!🧸🧸
💜💜💜

Once again you amaze me!! That was beautiful!!

Beautiful card Natasha, how wonderful to have those little helping hands as an added little extra xx
I've used liquid adhesive, and I've also used Mod Podge with tissue paper and napkins. It works really well too. I love your cards, Natasha! The distress ink made the tissue paper look vintage. It was perfect for your card. Thanks for sharing your videos!
Loved both backgrounds and the final butterfly card is stunning 🌻🌻
Golly! ANOTHER gorgeous technique!

I love how you made the background! It's beautiful! Now I know what I can do with the kraft-colored tissue paper that I've been saving.
Love, love, love this process and the outcome. A beautiful card...I'd love to see the card you create with the blue one, too.
I LOVE this card!! Please show us more like this. Thanks!!

It’s a beautiful card! I was surprised how nice it came out! I usually use the pattern paper for collage. So this was a nice alternative. 😃

I got rid of all my patterns that don’t fit me or were outdated designs! Lucky you! 😉
I so love to use tissue paper for my background. I crinkle mine, as well! Great video, Natasha!
Love it and your little helper too! I did wonder that you'd let him emboss that butterfly! Now I see you did not!!
I've used napkins before, but never tried tissue paper. Thanks for the ideas!

A lovely card ..never seen tissue paper used before so could be useful. Thankyou. Love your videos. Right length as well.
Love the card with the butterfly!
I've used tissue paper for despatch but never thought of using it for card making. Thanks for the ideas. X
