How to make tiramisu | Italian vegan recipe

INGREDIENTS FOR 6 PEOPLE
For the vegan mascarpone cream
400 g unsweetened soy yogurt
200 g silken tofu
100 g vegan butter
100 g sugar
50 g soy milk
For the vegan sponge cake
200 g all purpose flour
200 g water
180 g sugar
100 g corn starch
100 g refined coconut oil or vegan butter
16 g baking soda
1 vanilla bean
250 ml coffee
1 tbsp sugar
30 g cacao powder
INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare the mascarpone cream
1. put the yoghurt to drain for at least 8 hours in a sieve wrapped in a cheese cloth with weights on top (better if the night before)
2. with an immersion blender, emulsify the soy milk with the melted vegetable butter
3. blend together all the ingredients for the mascarpone cream (dried yoghurt, tofu, butter and milk emulsion, and sugar). If you use whole-wheat sugar, blend it first separately)
Prepare the vegan sponge cake
1. in a bowl, mix water, refined coconut oil, vanilla and sugar
2. pass the all-purpose flour, cornstarch and baking powder through a sieve and add them to the liquid mixture, stirring with a spatula until the mixture is smooth
3. bake in the oven for about 30 / 40 minutes at 180˚C
Assemble the tiramisu in layers as shown in the video or as you like.

@@ItaliaPlantBasedhi, I am Italian. Did you try it? I am making few vegan tiramisu, but I cannot find the one. I am using malto di riso instead of sugar and cashews. I want to try this without cashew . The recipes with cashew and yogurt result too liquid. Thank you in the meantime

That is sort of what I did for the marscapone substitute. But I used Culina Coconut yogurt blended with the silken tofu…and for the first time in my life I successfully made lady fingers. It was way easier than I imagined once I found a vegan recipe and it was really fun dipping the lady fingers into the espresso.
FAVOLOSO! L'ho provato ieri con il tofu che ho comprato apposta in un negozietto asiatico, e inizialmente ero un po' scettica perchè la crema appena fatta sapeva parecchio di tofu e burro di cacao (che ho usato al posto dell'olio di cocco), ma stamattina, dopo il riposo in frigorifero, mi sono ricreduta. Questo è IL tiramisù. Non una replica, non una variante. è lui! Grazie mille per la ricetta! Non sentirò mai più la mancanza del tiramisù della mamma!!

Dove posso trovare il tofu morbido? Nei supermercati normali non lo trovo.
Ciao Chiara, il tofu morbido lo trovi nei negozi asiatici (soprattutto quelli cinesi ne hanno tanti tipi). Altrimenti va bene anche il tofu normale che trovi alla coop o eurospin, basta frullarlo un pochettino in più.
Io uso un vitamix come frullatore, forse più in la metteremo i link :-)

Ciao, avevo comprato gli anacardi, ma il tuo video mi ha convinto e farò il tuo tiramisù! sostituiró lo zucchero col malto di riso ( o sciroppo di riso) e al posto del burro vegetale, userei l’olio di arachidi, perchè la margarina non mi convince come alimento. Scusa, avrei dei dubbi: Lo yogurt di soia può stare anche più di 8 ore a sgocciolare? Deve stare in frigo mentre sgocciola? E se usassi lo yogurt di soia greco, lo devo comunque far sgocciolare? Grazie mille

I can't find vegan butter here...Can I substitute it with something else?
One member of my family can not take anything made with Soy beans such as : Tofu, Milk or Yoghurt so what can I used to substitute them?
There is a lot of plant based milks out there (made from oats, rice, different kind of nuts, peas, etc just try to use one that has about the same amount of fats as soy milk), for yoghurt you can look for oat or cashew yoghurt although that might be difficult to find (alternatively you can make your own from plantbased milk and bacteria that are normally used to make yoghurt..you should be able to get them in a pharmacy) ..i’ve seen people making tofu from chickpeas, maybe that could be an alternative :)
Edit: Just remembered that I’ve seen people make tofu out of beans as well I think..
