This is PART 2 of the Kenya Airways B777-200ER video series. PART 1 can be seen here: ua-cam.com/video/HfMByi_b04U/v-deo.html They were both filmed back in 2010, when KQ operated the B777's. Enjoy!
Kenya Airways is an excellent airline. On time and never delay, courteous and co-operative on board crew members. Twice I had travelled from Mumbai to Nairobi.
The first officer has thoroughly explained all those cockpit instruments and displays in a very easy way for a layman to understand! I really appreciate that! And the Flight Purser has also explained her duty and of her colleagues very well indeed! If this was filmed in 2010 meaning it was 13 years ago, j hope some of them have climbed up the ladder to greater things while others perhaps have become ground crew!
I have maximum respect for y’all captains and pilots. I wish I could learn to fly but have zero confidence in that area so let me relax at the back. All that kilo kilo yankee 103 would drive me mad 😅Thanks 1st officer for this well explained tutorial
Great video, even if it was filmed in 2010, the video and audio quality was amazing! This is a great start and hoping to see more like this, from different airlines operated by African countries in African continent and out side.. I love Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪 , Kenyans and Kenyan Airways! Love from Jimma Ethiopia 🇪🇹 🇪🇹 🇪🇹
It is funny that I just finished the Nbo - london minutes ago to find the return flight just uploaded in time.....I miss flying with the pride of Africa.
Thank you Viking Wings. Really enjoyed both videos. Keep up the great work. The pilots are very professional and knowledgeable. I love to see such excellence.
The pilots confidence in piloting very high as well ability of electronics. The general appearance of the aircraft very good and the Kenyan Airways futurity is viable and it will be highly competent one in the near future. Best Regards! Uso Mohamed Musa.
Excellent vid. The pilot explanations were 1st rate. Seems that communications with African ATC can be difficult due to language accent differences. Apparently, no radar in Africa while enroute...position reports only.
I also filmed the B737-800 which is available on DVD at: www.vikingwings.com/kenya-airways-b737-800.html Not yet on UA-cam. Subscribe and hit the bell to get notified when it comes!
ah ok, filmed in 2010 uploaded in 2020, (better late than never) for a second there... seeing that Continental 757, I was thinking "I guess United didn't want to bring that one back"
44:47 "put it on 20 minutes" is not quite a long time in the oven🤔?! Or is an oven and a microwave different where i warm my food maximum 5 minutes depending on what i am warming😎🤔!
16:02 Kilo Quebec Alfa 103. Egypt Air 703 is calling? Negative it's Kenya. Its Kilo Quebec Alfa 103 over! Kenya 103 if you read the score i don't think we have any 103...Its Kenya 103. Kenya 103.. No...Confirm they are calling Jordanian 103. Jordanian 103....The radar was not picking the aircraft up!
I just asked a friend of mine who is a pilot and he said at 41000 feet that is normal until they reach 10000 feet at which time the computer will slow the plane to 250 knots and around 1500 feet per minute

I would love KQ buys the Airbus A350-1000.. I would do type rating for that in Ethiopia aviation academy after acquiring My CPL..
The Captain reminds me of my former University professors
Its a beautiful aircraft for the computers to fly you mean
Do you have any more Kenya Airways videos?
I think there was one made with the 737-800
I also filmed the B737-800 which is available on DVD at: www.vikingwings.com/kenya-airways-b737-800.html

How old is the pilot

Correct. It's important to film and document our history. I call it classic, not old 😀👍✈️
