- Bus jumping mad motorbike stunt man Eddie Kidd performing his single 'Leave it to the Kidd' live on Revolver 1978.
Strangely, his music career didn't take off as well as his bike & he was soon back to jumping over things for a living.
Despite having been riding a motorbike since aged 14 & having performing over 3,000 jumps, he didn't have a motorbike license until 1995, ironically within a year of getting the licence he'd had a major accident which left him wheelchair-bound, but he has since vowed to return to the world of stunts. Last seen in 2001 TV documentary talking to Russell Brand about his life after his accident.
This performance features Phil Mitchell (no, not that one!) & Kevin Morris (later of Dr Feelgood) in Eddie's backing band.
Eddie had the looks alright! the band is excellent! At least Eddie was singing live!
I can't help it but he was f*cking lovely.
Love the guy. There is something different about his soul from everyone else. Xxx
so glad he did`nt stick with the music & glad he stuck with his bikes, lol,
he was the best till his bad fall & lucky to be still here, all the best eddie,
;)
Yo, Eddie, this is Shon. Crashed in 1985 doing 214' in Palmdale, CA. Retired now, we all miss your radical jumps! Guess we're both lucky to still have a pulse! Cheers and feel better every day Bro!
Multitalented Eddie Kidd! Fly Eddie, keep flying! I made a tribute for the man, check it out at emiliosantana, thanks for posting!
Rubbish. But good rubbish.
Most of 70's punkish music sounded like this.
