@@Solid_Snack Whatever makes your car wash experience better is all that matters. We all like different things. Most electric ones are more for just wheels and tires. Takes way too long to do a whole car. These garden hose foamers are much better for that for sure. Chemical guys ones are no good. This is the only one that will get good foam because it can run 12oz per gallon and those can only pull 4oz per gallon.
Your meant to fill it all the way up with the car wash stuff and don’t put any water in it bc it’s already getting water from the hose so fill it all the way up with your car wash stuff I fill mine up to the top with truck wash with no water
You can fill it all the way up, but to me it is just a waste of product. I work with the soap companies and they determine the best dilution for a foam gun and you get no added benefit by using all soap. There is a perfect dilution ratio that will get you maximum suds, cleaning power and efficiency.
I tend to think the pressure has a lot to do with it. Not saying product is bad, but I have We’ll water and water pressure nowhere near that. And without strong pressure I anticipate kinda trickling or spurting out rather than blasting out as shown in video. Why this video is shot at night puzzles me but no matter to my concern.
I wash at night because when filming you are constantly redoing things and it lessens the chance of water spotting especially when its 100 degrees outside in the summer. I have started to film more when its cloudy outside, but that sometimes is hard to time. If you have hard/well water and not a lot of pressure out the hose I would think you would have less foam no matter the device, but this one does allow between 2 and 3 times the ounces of soap per gallon than almost anything on the market so it will allow you to get more soap diluted for foam if you have water with a lot of minerals in it.
Thanks for letting me know. Look slike they pulled almost all their products off Amazon. They deleted the whole page not just it being out of stock. Lucky for you I found another gun with the exact same design and slightly cheaper with a free bottle of foam soap. amzn.to/2LpVCMo
I normally would go gloss and this is my first satin finish, but the gloss version of this color flip is really loud and just too much. Satin is kind of between and with the layers of ceramic its has like a semi-gloss. Biggest reason was I hated during photo shoots having to spend half my time avoiding reflections. Satin doesn't reflect so makes that real easy.
You don’t if you plan to hold full soap over many washes and you know the dilution rate to use. Most people don’t want to hold soap in the container for long periods of time. If you do put enough soap for one application then there is a chance the product will miss the suction tube when being moved around. Filling with water keeps the tube in the liquid better and you just use a stronger dilution on the settings to makeup for the water.
No problem, Chemical guys is okay, but you can only get 4oz per gallon like most of the hose end foamers. Plus the build quality is much better as well.
Yup, too sunny to film during the day and cooler at night. I moved on and built my own wash bay so I can film and wash anytime, but I still if nice outside wash at night. Just so peaceful.
It’s pretty good until I watch some of the commercial detail guys with warehouses and that ridiculous commercial water pressure. They get PSI and GPM numbers I wish for. 😂
Man of the others just have too much plastic. I tend to gravitate to the one with as much metal as possible. Although that does tend to be more expensive as well. This one also has dilution settings that are 2 to 3 times more concentrated than the others.
Have you used the "VIVID 9" foam gun? I watched a review of it compared to this gun and it looks to shoot out an identical amount of foam. However, the other one is $35 compared to this one that is $60. Do you have any input? Here is the link to the video ua-cam.com/video/dbCCSoSqVCI/v-deo.html
I have not, but I saw the video and foam looks good. Slightly less foam, but our mixes could be different. Looks to be the same design as the Chemical guys and Gilmour makes one like that as well that’s cheaper. I went with this Gilmour mainly based on it being all brass and the chances of it taking a lot of abuse.I looked on the website, but they don’t specify what the max amount of ounces per gallon is. Most ones like it max out between 4 and 8. Looks like it performs great to me though. If you type Garden Hose Foam Gun in Amazon you will see just about all of them look alike. Same manufactures just rebranded.
@@CarsWithKeav ok thanks for your input. I was drawn to the other one because it is slightly cheaper. By I agree, it looks like it might not be as good as quality. I have been trying to find a foam gun for the past week and just thought they didn't exist. Do you also have any experience or reccomendations on a good buffer, pads and wax? You don’t if you plan to hold full soap over many washes and you know the dilution rate to use. Most people don’t want to hold soap in the container for long periods of time. If you do put enough soap for one application then there is a chance the product will miss the suction tube when being moved around. Filling with water keeps the tube in the liquid better and you just use a stronger dilution on the settings to makeup for the water.
Thanks.
You're welcome
Keav you are awesome thank you! I've been looking for something better than Chemical Guys.
No problem, Chemical guys is okay, but you can only get 4oz per gallon like most of the hose end foamers. Plus the build quality is much better as well.
Washing the car at night. Hell yeah
Yup, too sunny to film during the day and cooler at night. I moved on and built my own wash bay so I can film and wash anytime, but I still if nice outside wash at night. Just so peaceful.
Damn your pressure is so ridiculous! I bet you could use a regular foam cannon was some kind of adapter for a garden hose!
It’s pretty good until I watch some of the commercial detail guys with warehouses and that ridiculous commercial water pressure. They get PSI and GPM numbers I wish for. 😂
that car is bad ass
Appreciate that!
Nice review! I have the CG version and I’m not a fan of it at all!
Man of the others just have too much plastic. I tend to gravitate to the one with as much metal as possible. Although that does tend to be more expensive as well. This one also has dilution settings that are 2 to 3 times more concentrated than the others.
I rather pay more for quality! The CG, I’m just paying for the name. I look forward to trying this one! 👍🏽
You guys are lucky here in asia I use a generic chinese made one
Most of what we get is made in china as well just companies rebrand the naming.
Anyone here in 2024 with similar products?
There is still no garden hose foamer better than this one. It is available here walmrt.us/3zA2dx1
And it doesn't have the 12ounce mixing method. I think I'm gonna go with the one you recommended. I appreciate your video. I have been trying to find a foam gun for the past week and just thought they didn't exist. Do you also have any experience or reccomendations on a good buffer, pads and wax? I have terrible swirl marks on my cars paint and need to tackle that project soon
Nice
Thanks
Hey Keave thanks for the time doing this one realy appriciate it ..so much details in 12mins .. Cant wait for more videos cheers and stay safe 🙏
Really appreciate that. AS the spring comes in and we get more daylight and higher temps the vids will start rolling in. 😊
This is far too expensive £105.00 no way
All depends on what you are willing to spend and not sure if it’s inflated prices in other countries it’s about $70 here in the U.S.
WalMart gun gives more foam great video tfs
how much is that one?
11:10 does this dude have ears? O_o
I never noticed, but they did go missing for a minute. 🤣🤣
Yeah my 200 dollar setup makes way more foam with way less soap. I'm not a fan of those garden hose foam guns.
You can’t beat the pressure washer setup, but some don’t have that luxury and are stuck with the garden hose so figured so should show them the best option.
@@CarsWithKeav that's what I thought when I was first looking into a setup for home. I kept thinking I needed a 300 dollar gas pressure washer and I couldn't justify that purchase just to wash my car. Then I seen that craftsman for 100 bucks and I was sold.
WalMart gun wins 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It might not be Styrofoam 😄
You caught that. lol Meant to say shaving foam, but with enough soap and the right pressure washer you think we could get styrofoam consistency?
@@CarsWithKeav that's what I actually thought..it's thick like Styrofoam.. anyways you sold me on this..Just bought one on Amazon
You could be Jonah Hill's double
I’ve been told than many times. I can’t pull off the curly hair though. 🤣
The foam is terrible. Just buy a pressure washer and the foam will stick better.
I agree compared to a foam cannon from a pressure washer it is terrible. It is more suds than foam, but there are tons of people who can't use a pressure washer at their apartment. I have many friends who can only used one of these so I decided to find the best one and at the time I didn't have a quick setup so it took time to get everything setup vs just running your hose when you are in a hurry.
