Porsche 944 turbo rear hatch glass reseal and swap

This 951 has an issue with a failing bond between frame and glass. Fortunately we have parts cars to swap the hatch and keep the turbo car on the road.

To help prevent
educe delimitation in the future another option to just eliminating is to replace the hatch struts with ones with a lower force than the stock ones. I used the following STABILUS 3F236889 (I believe used on Jeep Wranglers) in my 924 Turbo and they work great. Enough to hold hatch open and assist opening. They will probably wear out quicker than stock force but at ~ $10 a piece from Rock Auto or any number of places I'll take it. I learned this trick from some other 924 / 944 poster.

Sorry, was there supposed to be something about resealing the hatch? You never got to that part, just talked about using a heat gun to separate it from the frame.
