  • Instagram reel from June 25th, 2024!
    Overheard in our FND membership:
“I’ve been symptom free for a few months now. Continuing to work on building my stamina and cautiously optimistic.“
    🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
So we needed to talk prognosis. Do people get better? Do they get back to work?
    Yes and yes
But if you google prognosis and FND, you might find things like…
“appear to be generally unfavorable.”“typically has a poor prognosis”
And it’s true, the longer people go without treatment, the harder it can be to get better. The natural history without treatment is less favorable (Gelauff and Stone, 2016)
But dive a little deeper into treatment studies and you see studies in kids where 82% become symptoms free with treatment (Fabian et al 2020)Or adults who participate in rehabilitation get a whole lot better!
And yes, people get back to work, back to traveling, back to caring for kids and back to life.
In our FND program the average person reports a global impression of change of 6 out of 7 which is a Better and a definite improvement that has made a real and worthwhile difference. In fact 73% of folks in who complete our program report a 6 or 7-that’s a whole lot better!
So I shared a summary of this in our FND membership last night and will keep cheering people on every step of the way to reclaim their life. Comment FND below if you want to join a community of folks who are hopeful and taking positive steps to get back to the things they love. Or share some 💕 to let cheering our members on!
