Thank you to all of the beautiful, powerful and amazing women who watched today! What do you think is Angie's best feature? Her eyes are one of the MOST GORGEOUS eyes I have ever seen in my entire career so that is what I would choose and what I played up the most in this video. If you want some tips on how to embrace natural grey hair, check out this video next: **5 Tips that will make you LOVE your Grey Hair! ua-cam.com/video/pm1czb2Tfvg/v-deo.html
Wow, where to start?! Angie is a very gorgeous woman period. The very first feature I noticed was her beautiful eyes! BUT, she also has amazing lips! I wish mine had that volume! Maybe they will have a little more someday! 😜 And her hair! I dream of hair like hers. 😊 Thank you for doing this, Angie! You are beautiful ! ❤ Poor Tara Reid. And I mean that with the most compassion. She’s had some serious beauty fails over the years. Some not her fault. The difference in makeup application between her and Jennifer Aniston is a fantastic lesson. Just follow Jennifer’s style and we can’t go wrong-ever! I have a genetic condition that effects my connective tissues and as I age, I’m starting to struggle with steadiness in my hands. I don’t have the fine motor skills I used to. It makes eye makeup especially hard. I’ve been moving more and more towards minimalistic looks. All your tips are spot on. I use these and I look way better than trying to do a smokey eye. That just doesn’t work anymore! I absolutely agree with lash primer before mascara! Huge difference! Bronzer is still a struggle for me to get the placement right. I think I’ve found my solution with the right brand, color, and a better foundation shade. Thank you for doing this one, Gabri! I hope there are more!!❤🤗🥰🌹
Girl I stopped using powder foundation in my 30s. I stopped coloring my hair at 51. I'm going on 55 this year. More salt than pepper. I recently cut bangs to hide the furrow lines. Brighter lipsticks balance the silver hair, subtle eye shadows because I wear glasses. I started taking 50+ vitamins going through perimenopause, and now I'm over that hill. I've never had as many compliments on my hair, the "color", the cut, and my complexion as I've had the last three dye free years. Nature really does give us the color we're supposed to have. I've gone to a single, soft shimmer just on my lids as they're hooded, simple smoked eyeliner, and it works. The shimmer gives a brightness behind my glasses. I still use Double Wear and still get compliments. Basically, we need to do what works for us. This works for me. I'm still glam, just older and more sparkly.
I'm 39 and have been doing the same for my eyes for several years now because it just looks better than any heavy/ dark makeup look now that my creases aren't as perky as they used to be. Really makes a difference, just stick to lid/lashline and brow bone ONLY!
At about 47 to 55 had to change foundation color and started using a fine milled powder that does not fall into lines like other powders. Use lot less makeup. Brown liquid eyeliner over dark brown eyes and light brownish/tan eyeshadow. Gold/rose color on cheeks light dusting. takes about 5 minutes. like this better than earlier makeup in 20 and 30s.
I fee like I do most of these and I'm 40. I am so over dying my hair. I'm liking the silver color that is growing in and I wish I had more of it. But I'm done dying.
Im so happy you are able to look great without dying your hair...i have to say it doesnt work for everyone..my boss is 50 and she wears no makeup no hair dye nothing and she looks like her husbands mother not spouse
I recently turned 60, and I feel way more beautiful than I did at 40. One of the reasons is happiness and confidence AND all the wonderful tips I have learnt from content makers like you. Angie is stunning!
I know woman that are ‘happy and confident’m and they look like the w problems of the world are on their face. So don’t give that dumb crap, it won’t make you look 20 yrs. Younger bein happy some woman just take better care and some have good skin. Don’t bull people👎🏻👎🏻🤮🤮🙀😱
I feel the same way.,Am very comfortable in my skin at 60 & look after my health, but happiness gives us that radiant glow from within that shines outwards 😊👌💖
I have ADHD and this has been the simplest but most informative makeup tutorial I have ever watched! Thank you for explaining why we should and shouldn’t do things, but also making it concise.
Gabi i love your message! As a woman of 52 going through menopause, i feel my power slipping away every year. Beauty is so over valued in our society that the loss of it can be devastating. I wish i could accept growing older, but im really struggling. Im a product of my society. Your videos help so much tbough, so thank you!!!!
@mariephillips1335 This! I'm turning 48 in a week and going through perimenopause. I've gone from getting all the looks to almost feeling invisible sometimes. It is a hard transition.
I'm 54, and I started menopause at 52, it's changed my life, not only my appearance, but everything. At least HRT meds help troublesome symptoms, which were unbearable until I got on them. I'm still working on acceptance, but I won't get work done, I spend more time with skin care and diet, and have to wear more makeup, push up bra, I do my best to try to feel good about myself.
I'm a make up artist and beauty therapist 26 years now. EVERYTHING you said is spot on. I cannot tell you how many times I have done mature faces and spent the whole time repeating this advice to my ladies. The higher level technical advice like colour correction advice is confusing for many. Some come back for longer consults because they never learned how to use products, tools and techniques properly. Time gets by, and you just stick to what you know. And very often, what you learned in your teens. And we know this is not great practise. The principle of less is more and looking dewey and diffused instead of chalky and dull is what you want as you age. Don't be afraid of a pop of colour on eyes OR Lip. Choose ONE to enhance. Especially choose the right blush. Cream blush goes on cream foundation. And if I may add one tip. Hydrating or luminising setting spray at the end. It melts in nicely and sets your make up with flexibility and staying power. And a good tip to choose your foundation if you have aged freckly skin. Ask at your make up counter for assistance to match the tone of product between your slightly darker freckling and your base skin tone. Your new foundation with blend beautifully between the two. Switch to a brush for application. Not fingers. It may also be beneficial to ask your aesthetician about a lash and brow tint. And for those ladies with disappearing brows, a subtle tattooing can do wonders. There are also amazing little hooded eye tapes you can buy to support a hooded eye all day. They can barely be seen and make up gets applied over them. Amazing little things. And if you do need lashes, stick to a few individuals applied on the edges. Or cut about 1/4 or so inches of the end of a full strip and just use these and the end. Thank you Gabi. Great educators like you are rare. And to have such kindness in your approach with words to us over 50's is what we need to hear in a world where we feel we are becoming invisible and irrelevant. Most of us are dealing with changing bodies we do not recognise. And the feeling of insecurities and lack of confidence that often comes at this stage of life. Also, your model is stunning. I'll bet she rocked some amazing make up looks in her youth too!
I’m 58, and I do mostly everything that you have said, including the eye tapes , which you can get from Amazon, I prefer the smaller ones. Why don’t you make a video? The model here I love her hair. ❤
Gabi I recently discovered your channel and I have to say I just love it! I am 62 years old and after about 10 years of family-member caregiving and losing my husband, I am just getting started on creating an improved me for my third chapter. Your channel is so uplifting and positive. I feel like this new decade will be my best one yet. I am experimenting with new hair and changes to my makeup routine. I feel more hopeful than ever about my future. Thank you and please keep your videos coming! 🥰
You go girl! No one will ever understand (or care) about your time as a caregiver so don't bother talking about it, enjoy your freedom and keep shining! Enjoy your exciting new chapter life has granted you.
I used to wear makeup whenever I just stepped out the door, two years ago I bought high quality derma pen and started doing sessions at home. that little device changed my skin in a way that I am not wearing makeup any longer. I have tried almost everything to look younger, anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements, retin A etc. However, nothing made any real difference compared to this. Within 3 months of use (Every 3 weeks), my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm in my 20s again, but definitely not 58 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less prominent/nonexist. People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin.
@@lorengeva7477 +1 for korabeauticals. I've been doing microneedling since it started 12 or so years ago. Nobody believe I am 55. They all say I am in my 30's or early 40's. As you know, as we get old, our skin gets thinner therefore creating wrinkles. But the wounding kept my skin still thick and youthful. Your comment will help so many women to restore their skin..
Angie is naturally gorgeous and, Gabi, your tips - especially about hydration and using creams instead of powders - make sense. Thank you! I’d love to see Angie with your version of a no-makeup look (but with makeup). I’ve always been a minimal or no-makeup girl but I’m 57 now and need correction, especially around my eyes. Seeing a minimal makeup look on Angie would be inspirational.
While your tips are generally all correct, to each their own. I'll be 60 in April but still have oily skin. Powder foundation is awesome for me! I do use a setting spray at the end to ensure I don't have a powdery look. I have some liquid foundations but they don't set on my skin and I stay sticky all day long - even my hair sticks to my face even after using a setting powder! No ma'am, powder foundation is where it's at - for me. I still love your videos and appreciate all of the tips - you rock!!
switching away from matte makeup as i've gotten older has been a huge change for me. After having oily skin for most of my life & always using mattifying products, i came to find that as i got older, my skin was no longer oily & I had to start moving to more moisturizing & luminous products. Game. Changer.!
Hey Gabi, good to "see" you again! As someone in her late 50s, I tend to find the younger gals more offended of the word "younger" than us mature gals!! We know what's changing in our faces and bodies and some of us will value the changes and embrace them and some will go kicking and screaming. No apology needed! Great video!!
Plus, when you are over 50 you just don't give a damn like you did when you were younger! 😂 ....just like in the poem by Jenny Joseph "When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple" 💜
Gabi, you are so PROFESSIONAL, a GREAT speaker, and get to the point without all the “like”s or “basically “s so many use in their speech these days. THANK YOU for these great tips and I look forward to watching more of your channel❣️
She has an amazing lip line! The only part of this finished look that didn’t do it for me was the foundation: it seemed to sit in the lines around her mouth prominently when she wasn’t smiling. I found she looked much better with well hydrated, natural skin, but I’m also not a foundation gal. I just joined the 50 club and it is truly amazing to me how dried out I can look with no moisturizer and how glowy I look after I put moisturizer on. Start young and never stop hydrating, kids!
Gabi, I am 70 and thoroughly loved this video!! Omg, I so agree about the lips. I kept trying to find that perfect nude, wasted a lot of $$ before I finally realized that all it did was wash out my face color. Conversely, sometimes just good skin care, sunscreen & a pretty gloss or lipstick actually works. Also so true about the importance of a hydrated & glow from within look. Your model was very courageous , but I actually saw huge beauty improvement look just after you did the skin care. She is quite beautiful. I look forward to seeing more of your wonderful videos. Thank you😊💕
I am 70 and all I use is a cream blush and lip gloss. I cannot find a lipstick that stays on my lips. I have terrible hooded lids, wear glasses, and cannot wear mascara. My only saving grace is good skin . I started really taking care of my health and skin when I turned 60. I think it paid off !
Gabi, I love the way you did two looks, the wrong way and the right way because it really sends the message home! I am also a stylist and makeup artist and in my sixties now. I still love to experiment with new makeup looks, but basically deep down I know what works and what I did 20s and 30s just doesn’t serve me anymore. Your application was spot on and I picked up a few good tips! So thank you!
Gabi! I am 56! Thank you for seeing me! This is amazing. You are wonderful and I so appreciate this much-needed video. Angie's eyes are beautiful and her transformation implementing the tips you incorporated were spot on. She looks amazing and I love her grey hair!
Gabi, merci beaucoup! Cannot add to what has already been written by my fellow 50 plus friends. As far as Angi, she is a total beauty whose eyes absolutely sparkle when made up properly. She also has a lovely smile. Rock that hair Angi, and thank you for letting Gabi do a full DO NOT REPLICATE face along with your stunning DEFINITELY REPLICATE face! Wishing you both well, a 57 year old thankful viewer.😊
Although I'm a former makeup artist I have not updated my techniques as much as I should with age. This has been an extremely helpful video. Thank you so much!
I like the natural look and that’s too much make up it’s like a mask on top of one’s face. Do you have a video where the make up is more natural? thanks
A pleasure to watch. I too have been guiding woman with makeup that supports their beauty for many, many years. I think one note I would add would be about shimmery products in general which enhance any lines and crepiness. There is a big difference between products that are luminous, pearlescent, shimmery, frosty and glittery. I find the first two can add a beautiful "lit from within" benefit while all of the latter are typically not kind. I love a touch of luminosity on the top of cheekbones and the very center of the eyelid for most. Another really helpful tip is a light spritz of hydration like rosewater to both set and add dewiness to a finished look. I do this before mascara. I'm going to try the concealer and powder on the lid before everything else again. In the past I've found that it's good at first but eventually creases. And I love to continually learn and experiment as we are continually transforming as we unfold. Thank you for your respectful language. I encourage my clients to shoot for healthy and glowing vs anything specific to an age range.
Hi Gabi! Wonderful video! Getting older is a gift that should be celebrated. I'm 67 and although I'm fortunate not to look it I still take care of myself. I was so glad to see I'm doing it right! Angie looks amazing....great skin, beautiful hair. She's rocking the grey hair. I wish I could do that but just not there. Thanks for the wonderful content ! ❤️❤️❤️
I just discovered your channel and am so thankful! I will be 55 in a few days and have just come out of the absolute worst year of my life. I am looking sad, sallow, pale and tired. I am trying to get back to taking care of my skin and putting some makeup on. These tips are so helpful! Thank you to you and Angie for showing us how great we can look!
I feel the same, Jean....I AM exhausted, and it is showing. So glad I came upon this channel out of nowhere.... and very much appreciate your frankness! Cheers 🙏
Thank you for a video geared toward us fabulous fifty+ ladies! 59 in a couple of weeks here. We love our skin, hair and makeup too and it's great to see a video we can relate to with an actual person our age. And the model is gorgeous too! Long hair over a certain age is not a no no!!
I just discovered your channel and loving it, I’m in my 50s and I’ve always enjoyed wearing makeup but lines and dry skin have made it harder to apply, thank you so much for leading me onto a new and better path, your model above is naturally gorgeous and the enhancement to her look with your amazing skills is stunning 🎉
She is so pretty! Before and after! I am 55 and love that you are keeping our makeup in mind. I am excited to try a similar look following your example! Have a blessed weekend!❤
Thank you for this! I love the messages you’re sending throughout. She’s a true beauty, and I was so happy to see you choose someone with longer hair. At 53, I sometimes feel pressured to cut it off, but I like my hair long. Beauty is being allowed to shine at our most confident selves.
I hear you on the hair thing. I'm the eldest of four sisters, and my oldest sister was constantly telling me, as I approached and passed 40, that I needed to cut my hair shorter because women over 40 were "too old" to have long hair. I ignored her. For years. Now I'm 66 and she's 63, and guess who still has hair down past her shoulders? Mm hmm, that's right - she does. Mine's just above my shoulders because that's the easiest length for me. It was real funny how quiet she got about age & hair length as she went over THAT age bump, lol!
Not sure how old is Julia Roberts, but she looks great and fresh with her long wavy hair. Having long hair does look more feminine and cool for older women if that s what they prefer
I turned 67 in January I stopped cutting my gair during COVID and because a hairdresser I waited to go to for 5 years made a nasty comment about not taking new clients. I have not cut my gair except for my bangs, I wish I let it grow decades ago It is so easy to have the option to wear it up or down.I love my long salt and pepper hair
Her eyes are seriously GORGEOUS. They jump out so much in real life. They're like a light crystal blue. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment!
I can’t pick out a single feature on Angie that doesn’t look great! Angie is beautiful at any angle! Thank you for participating in the video Angie!!!!
Deer Gawd! I've been doing make up all wrong for over 20 years! Yikes! I recently lost my husband after 5 years of taking care of him and I look like a wreck. I love your video tips because I have.no.clue what I should be doing. I want to look better as I heal and can't wait to try all these tips! Angie looks fabulous. Thanks GGG!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me a message! I am so happy to know that this video helped you. I am so happy to have you as apart of my community.
Thank you for this Gabi.I’m 61 and love your channel and tips. The model has the most beautiful eyes so I would like you, make the most of her eyes.😘🇬🇧
Night and day. Literally! You made her look vibrant and glowing. I use most of these techniques in my beauty routine and it's very hard to adjust to at first because when I was younger I used a cat eyeliner look which looks horrible now. Thank you for doing these videos. I'm 62 and although I embrace my age I feel beautiful with a touch of makeup.
How ironic that when I turned 50 did feel invisible and yet, now at 65, I am feeling wonderful and I can say it feels like the best time of my life. Thank you for advocating for us 😘 I mostly don't watch subjects about older women's issues if they are made by younger women who don't know what it feels like and are really just theorizing. But you have actual results to share.
OMG I wish I had found you YEARS ago! Literally!! I have lear4so much from you in this first video I've ever seen by you. The makeup is about playing with light and dark shadows and making the most of them makes so much sense. I am 64 and truly just learning about makeup. I've used it for years I just never knew what you're saying. Thank you!
I've worn foundation since I was 18, am now 60. No wrinkles and people can never believe my age. Whack on moisturiser, foundation, make up every day., does not have to be expensive, loads of great products out there. It makes you feel good inside and look good outside. Just go for it. Great vid😆😆😆
Great video! I purposely NEVER watch videos on this subject because it’s close to my heart and I choose not to watch anything that will diminish my confidence. Massive respect to Gabby and Angie, both who are beautiful. Love, love Angies hair! She is simply gorgeous. I have no idea how this video was on my notifications. Lol 💕
From the moment you added the skincare alone the difference was remarkable. The make up was perfect and the hair gorgeous. The finished look.......Angie looked stunning. Thank you for all the tips that help us look our best in our years where it's time to relax but remain visible.
I just turned 52 and I have always suffered with dark under eye circles. I use the Mac Prep and Prime in bright forecast under my eye and on the lid too. Once that dries down, I find I only need the tiniest amount of concealer. I don't like to wear eye shadow, so I skip that step. I spray Urban Decay all nighter onto my ring fingers and set my under eye makeup with it. I have very fine lines and they are undetectable with this method. I can wear it for 12 hours in the Florida humidity and it stays in place.
That is also the colour corrector I used! I have never ever thought about using Urban Decay all nighter as an under eye setting spray. That is actually brilliant! I am going to try that next time. I also use that in my kit! Thank you for taking the time to comment and leave such wonderful feedback.
Thanks Cindy, for sharing. I usually just wear tinted sunscreen that has retinol in it (live in the ca desert) but I am starting to notice the fine lines... I don't usually wear eyeshadow due to sensitivity, but I have been wondering how to cover the dark circles. Looking forward to trying your suggestions!
I've watched this video at least 4 times, getting new tips each time. Angie is gorgeous, and I love the transformation. I'm 63 and while I don't often wear makeup, it's great to know how to apply it correctly. I have made plenty of mistakes, but I keep learning. Thanks, Gabi, for providing great tips!
The best video I have ever watched on does and don't for mature women. Your explanations were spot on! Angie is gorgeous! Thank you for an amazing tutorial video!❤👍
Absolutely wonderful video! You cover all the bases and enhance an already lovely woman into achieving her best self. Loved the "Don't Do This" application. As a 70 year old woman who lives in Florida in the single largest 55+ community in America, I see the "Don't Do" on a very regular basis. LOL Thank you Gabi for the excellent content and desire to help us more mature gals rock our age without trying to hide it!😘Roberta
Thank you for your kind message Roberta! Yes, it is so easy to cycle into the "Don't do" category because we get used to doing our makeup the same for years and years and years and then we don't adjust it as we age because that is just what we are used to. I am even a victim of it myself! It is easy to resort to what you're used to but what works in your 20s, doesn't work in your 30s and then that doesn't work in your 40s and on and on. Changing a few things can make all of the difference in the world. :)
I am 69 years old and in good health keep fit and watch my weight and what I eat. Half of the battle at this stage of life is taking care of your health. Your tips are great on how to apply makeup. I find that sometimes women try too hard to keep the same hair color they had in their 29s which actually makes them look harsh. Lighter hair colors lighten up the face masking fine lines. As long as you have a good haircut and a nice style and keep your hair clean and conditioned this helps too. Thanks for the great tips.👍🏻
Love your channel Gabi!! Thank you for being such a realistic and supportive beauty advocate for all ages!! I just turned 55 in December and firmly believe that beauty radiates from confidence and loving yourself just the way you are! To me, age is just a number… I still work out, am very active, take care of myself, eat well, and have learned to embrace my changes with humor and humbling acceptance. Your model looks amazing. Thank you for all that you do!
What a lovely comment. I love your perspective on aging and embracing the changes with humour. It also makes me so happy that you are living your best life, staying active and taking care of yourself. This is the way to do it! I appreciate you being apart of this community.
It’s amazing how much more youthful she looked with only the exfoliant and good moisturizer! I’d love to see you do this again it’s drugstore products. I replaced my IT CC with a Wet and Wild after watching an esthetician use it, reviewing the ingredients. I’m 60 and love it! I enjoyed you video! Thank you for supporting those of us over 50!
Gabi greetings from Sydney Australia - just discovered your channel and love it - I’m 62 and embarked on a health improvement journey 6 months ago have lost 55 pounds and improved my health in many ways including strength training and Pilates. There is much power in good physical and mental health that translates through our physical attributes - my skin has never looked better by reducing processed sugar and carbs, increased hydration and physical movement. I have always adored make-up and enjoy watching your videos for new ideas xx
Thank you for these wonderful tips. I just turned 50 last month and after 19 years of chronic pain and disability it is fair to say I feel double my years physically so I need all the help I can get. I am also coming out of 2 and a half year of Long Covid hair loss so it's been a challenge. Throughout it all I have tried to do the best I can with skincare etc to try and do what I can do at least have some control back. I have recently ditched nearly all face powders and they way I use to apply them as they really do age you and I am trying to find products that are really flattering on my mature skin as what you loved in your 30s, 40s is not necessarily what you need in your fifties.
I just turned 51 and it's the first Birthday I had where I gulped a bit! I'm already feeling older and I've gone through a real 'why bother anymore' phase recently, which has just made me feel more depressed. Thank you for this video..I really needed to see it. Great work!
I’m 50 next year. I’m totally at the “why do I bother” phase. I’m a Goth so subtle make-up is NEVER happening, I’d rather wear none. My eyelids are so hooded, the upper part sits entirely over the lower part (if that makes sense). You never see models with eyes that are truly hooded. I dunno what to do. I give up.
@@LouciferFlump That could be a medical condition. Maybe your insurance would pay for the correction. Eye lid surgery is not that complicated (a nose job would be for instance). But if the eye lid is drooping really bad it can get irritating and then correction is often paid for.
Love this video! I’m a fair ten years short to this stellar time in one’s life but the tips work beautifully on her so I plan to give a few a try now. Thank you… oh her best feature… that smile at the end of the video, pure happiness!
I am also not even 40 yet but I always use these tips on myself and it also gives me a really lifted, fresh and youthful appearance! I am glad that you got something out of this even though you're younger. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I really appreciate it.
Angie is gorgeous and such a rockstar for being willing to be the demonstrative model for how some of the makeup practices we used earlier in life don't serve us as we mature. I love the final look and can't agree enough on focusing on moisture/hydration! Drinking plenty of water and getting good consistent rest are also key as we mature and help our skin look more radiant and firm. Yay - I saw the Tymo and it made me smile! I'm still learning to use it on my fine multi-texture hair but I love love love it!
Thank you so so so much for this video. I’m 51, and for the first time, I’m having a hard time finding the right makeup. Angie’s makeup is perfect! (I love her eyes, so I would definitely play them up like you did.)
I love the complex grays of Angie's hair. It was the first thing I noticed, and I think it looks beautiful. Also, Angie really needs no makeup as she already has beautiful features.
Thank you so much for your videos Gabi. I am Mid-50s now and really struggling to get my pretty back. Can’t wait to try some of the make up tips you have shared.
I just turned 54 and have switched over all of my products many of which are featured in this video. Thank you because I want to age gracefully and attempt to look my best
I'm so with you Gabi. I'm in my early 40s and believe every woman should rock the age she is currently in. I love how my face and body keeps on changing... and I try to look my best no matter what❤ BTW, love ur channel!!
I think Angie is stunning and that you did an amazing job showing makeup no-nos for women over 50. I'd love to see a more daytime "natural" or "enhanced"" quick and dirty makeup routine for women over fifty. I've been fortunate to have good skincare habits and access to great products but always love to pick up new tips and tricks. I loved the suggestion about the under eye color corrector for example. Thanks for making such great content!
Really appreciate this video sharing tips for women over 50! More please! Also, can you share a list of products similar to those you used in the video that are more budget friendly? I think we should absolutely splurge on ourselves, but it would be great to have options that accomplish the same thing for those who are working with a more restrictive budget. ❤️
Gabi I’m so glad you made this video! I love your channel so much and I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned in my comments before that I just turned 50. I’ve felt embarrassed to mention that before because I’m sure the majority of the ladies watching are in their 30’s so I felt funny. I wonder if other ladies feel like that too? My daughter who’s 22 said Ma! Mention your age! So I am! You know what it is Gabi? My Chronological age says one thing, but internally I feel completely different. I still feel and move around like I’m 30. I still work out with the same intensity as I always have and I’m still just as silly as always lol so I relate more to yourself who’s younger. Don’t get me wrong, I still have my UA-camrs that I watch who are post menopausal like myself but I get so much more from your channel… I’m having a hot flash as I type I kid you not! Thank you for this video! PS. now you know my age… 50, 50, 50. That’ll make my daughter happy lol your the absolute best Gabi! 😊❤❤
Maria, I love your comment so much! I can actually see the breakdown of ages of the women who watch my channel and 1/3 of my audience demographic is actually above the age of 50. You are not alone!!! My smallest audience demographic is under the age of 30 actually. I am so happy to have you here as apart of the community. You just radiate kindness and seem like such a lovely and fun person! I appreciate your comments and your support more than you know.
Hi, I am 61 and love Gabi's channel. I wish all this info had been around when I was younger (and had much more hair!) but better late than never and I am so grateful that people like Gabi are sharing their wisdom. Best wishes
As a makeup artist and licensed esthetician, (30yrs), I can honestly say that this video was EXCELLENT. thank you for educating women on the things that makes us older ladies look BETTER and more youthful, not AGING and tired. I applaud you for this. thank you. And Angie, too! She was a great model !
The only example of powder foundation that works really well on more mature skin, is Max Factor Creme Puff, as it contains lanolin, and after being applied with the puff into moisturised skin, you just buff it with a large fluffy brush and the finish is stunning! 😊💋💄
I'm 57 I just can't stop my powder foundation! Too much glistening for me makes me feel greasy and unfinished. Even though I use powder my oil still comes through anyway lol so that's enough shiny for me
@@Mhel2023 I feel the same way . I want the dewy glistening to work for me at my age, but I absolutely can’t stand how it feels . I don’t use powder foundation, but I do use a matte one. You should try it. Estée Lauder Double Wear. It’s great !
Great video Gabi. Thanks for the tips and for using a real non-enhanced beautiful model that can give us realistic expectations of beauty. She looked stunning.
That is always my goal - realistic expectations of beauty. I plan on using many more models like this in the future to show what is possible without plastic surgery and without all of the fake filters. Some simple tricks and some products can yield truly amazing results.
Thank you, Gabi, this was so informative! I am going to try that liquid exfoliator and the under eye patches. You confirmed I am doing a few things wrong… and some things right! I really appreciate all of your videos.😃❤️
Am 80 years old and was a cosmetic demonstrator and retail salesperson. My theory is less is more. Only use a few products, I.e. natural blush, eyeshadow for eyeliner, a soft rose lipstick, a finishing powder and a highlighter on cheeks and down the center of face. Makeup application takes me about 6 minutes. Good advice Gabi.
I’m so thrilled to have found your channel. I’m 65 in few months and enjoy the content Most channels for over 50/60 yr use filters, upsell or obsesses with anti aging
Angie is beautiful, I love her hair, I'm so jealous. She looks like a completely different person in the "don't"...absolutely perfect when you did her makeup correctly. Thanks Gabi, great video, and I appreciate the tips for the over 50 group 😊 ❤️
Oh my gosh, eyes, lips, she's naturally gorgeous but goodness, the make up mistakes do make us look older than we are! I love the simple, enhancing, natural colors you did. She's a knockout!
@@sunshineeveryday9873 it’s a sign of menopause w/ loss of estrogen so kind of like “Hi, I’m likely older” obviously some ladies struggle with the issue prior to menopause but we almost all suffer from thinner hair on our head but gain it on the face & it can effect the way your makeup sits.
@@newhope8433 no. Wives take. Some women have taken to full on shaving w/ a razor & cream or foam like men traditionally do. Men tend to age better than women inspire if not using all the skin care because they shave off dead skin every day. If the idea doesn’t appeal to you dermaplanning is a little less. Small thin razor meant to combat the finer facial hair (peach fuzz) of women. Obviously you have to keep up with it or the hair does come back but it is nice to have smooth skin. My hair is very blonde/white so it’s easier to not “see” it but when I dermaplane, I’m like good grief, it’s like cleaning out your dryer lint screen, there’s so much, surprisingly. Read up on it.
Angie is a real beauty - great skin, striking eyes and I'm so jealous of that gorgeous hair. I'm an esthetician and agree so much with you about the importance of skin care. The undereye patches are amazing btw. especially when you have puffy eyes or dark circles. You can even put them in the fridge for the extra cooling effect. ❄☺
That is a fantastic suggestion! Making them cool feels soooo nice when you have tired or puffy eyes. Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave me some feedback. I appreciate it.
I have been enjoy your over 50/60 videos! I am 55 with very hooded eyes (due to fold) , minimal lid space, and downturned crease (past the outer corner. This "trifecta " makes it nearly impossible to create an eyelift with makeup. The downturn blocks any attempt of a wing (whether using liner or eyeshadow) . A video on this would be so helpful! Thank u Gabi!
I made a vow to myself as a teenager that I’d never become stuck in a rut with my makeup, hair or clothing style. I saw how many mothers and grandmothers looked older by hanging onto their youthful choices. At my 40 year high school reunion I looked around and saw how many of my friends were stuck in time. They looked much older. Even the ones that have less wrinkles. They just looked stale.
I'm almost 62 and the most challenging thing I'm finding is making up my small hooded eyes. It doesn't matter how I do my makeup my eyes look small and tired. The hooding on my lids makes it very difficult to wear eye shadow and to do a slight lift with the eyeliner on the corners of my eyes. It's very discouraging.
Me too! Nothing helps because mine are so hooded. It’s impossible to make that little line drawn up a bit on my eyelids because they hang down so far .
This is great, and informative, but could you do the same video featuring women of other ethnicities ? That would be interesting, and quite helpful for those who have various darker skin shades and skin tones. Thank You for this video, I learned a few things ! 🥰
One thing not mentioned is what a huge impact expression makes. While I don’t believe in a fake plastic grimace on the face at all times (how horrible) I do remember a lesson from ballet class “always maintain a pleasant expression” (despite those painful pointe shoes!) So just being mindful of b!tch face and instead, even just a slight lifting of the facial muscles gives an instant “facelift”
What should I use for a dewy glow? I am over 50, and have good skin, but it's starting to look dull. I spend a fortune on products and I'm lost on foundation. Thanks for doing these videos. I can't stand people who say 'How to look younger' hahaha...I love my age thank you! She looks awesome. I think you managed to make her face glow and for me, that's the BIGGEST effect I love. thank you
Gabi, this is really a fantastic tutorial. I am in my late 50’sand have just started embracing make up. The look was fantastic.. and your advice very sound. Although I am still struggling with putting blusher in the right area…
I think she has lovely lips and the colour lipstick you use really lifts them
Yes! Her eyes were SO GORGEOUS!
Her eyes and hair!
Her eyes are beautiful! Add that gorgeous hair......absolutely stunning!
How awesome! Can you please share the vitamins? Thank you so much
Im so happy you are able to look great without dying your hair...i have to say it doesnt work for everyone..my boss is 50 and she wears no makeup no hair dye nothing and she looks like her husbands mother not spouse
I recently turned 60, and I feel way more beautiful than I did at 40. One of the reasons is happiness and confidence AND all the wonderful tips I have learnt from content makers like you. Angie is stunning!
Yes she is! I love her hair!
Thank you very much for this comment and great contribution. You are truly a friend to all those who view this channel of lovely advice.
I've started using the thin lining from the egg shell for under my eyes.
Home made rice mask tightens the skin 👌😊

Gabi i love your message!
As a woman of 52 going through menopause, i feel my power slipping away every year.
Beauty is so over valued in our society that the loss of it can be devastating.
I wish i could accept growing older, but im really struggling. Im a product of my society.
Your videos help so much tbough, so thank you!!!!
❤
@mariephillips1335 This! I'm turning 48 in a week and going through perimenopause. I've gone from getting all the looks to almost feeling invisible sometimes. It is a hard transition.
I'm 50. I just got put on hrt. It's now recommended. I feel a million times better with a ton of energy. Just one option.
In France we love mature women. He married his teacher-Brigitte Marie-Claude Macron!
Can you recommend a brand for those hooded eye tapes? I've seen a couple of videos promoting them but the reviews were not encouraging....
I’m 58, and I do mostly everything that you have said, including the eye tapes , which you can get from Amazon, I prefer the smaller ones.
Why don’t you make a video?
The model here I love her hair. ❤
This is EXCELLENT! Thank you! Best advice.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I can see Angie had her brows professionally done. Brows are everything to the face. Maybe cover brow care in a video?💕
She also does botox and fillers, but she does give great advice for older makeup users
LOVE this comment!!
Agreed! 👍💯

Agree! I have very thin eyebrows & don’t know how to shape! Help!

You’re in your last chapter, the Winter of your life. 60-80yrs old is Winter . I’m in Fall.
Writing your own chapter is so empowering make it a great one❤️
@@Puddycat00 that was about as uplifting and encouraging as a punch in the face. Why did you say that?
You go girl! No one will ever understand (or care) about your time as a caregiver so don't bother talking about it, enjoy your freedom and keep shining! Enjoy your exciting new chapter life has granted you.
I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my husband too. Hang in there.
Which Derma pen do you use?
Korabeauticals is the Pen I am using
@@lorengeva7477 +1 for korabeauticals.
@@ashulka Will this help on a slightly sagging neck?
@@holly1225s never tried it on my neck but on my under chin and it worked great so it should work great on the neck as well.
Ditto! For those of us who don't like layers of makeup or for whom it's not practical, I'd love to see a true natural look for women over 50.
Same here!
Also, I love Angie's hair, her cupid's bow is perfection and she has the nose I always wished mine were. :)
Game. Changer.!
This is hands down best makeup advice for mature women I’ve seen, and I watch a TON of makeup tutorials.
Agreed. Stellar advice.
I am 62 this year & I sooo happy that I was a slow, late bloomet ,:tomboy & nerd because now I have finally bloomed into a beauty.
Thank you so much for this comment Lisa!! That was actually really helpful to read.
THANK YOU for these great tips and I look forward to watching more of your channel❣️
and "actually", "literally", "as well", etc
I wholeheartedly agree 👍🏽
I'm 73 with good skin. I do have issues with under eye bags and areas of texture. This video helped Me soooooo much!
I stop using nudes. Orange & soft pink works better. Use lip liner for better result
Angie's best feature is her smile! Best anti-aging "tech" out there!! 🥰
Angie is stunning with NO makeup!

I like the natural look and that’s too much make up it’s like a mask on top of one’s face. Do you have a video where the make up is more natural? thanks
I’m about to turn 51 and internally I feel the most empowered I have ever felt!!!! Externally I am fighting aging. Angie you look amazing!!!
Angi is stunning without makeup...and your kindness, Gabi, is appreciated. I *do* feel invisible.
My same experience! I’m 53 also
I turned 67 in January I stopped cutting my gair during COVID and because a hairdresser I waited to go to for 5 years made a nasty comment about not taking new clients. I have not cut my gair except for my bangs, I wish I let it grow decades ago It is so easy to have the option to wear it up or down.I love my long salt and pepper hair
Her eyes are stunning, also really loved the wavy/curly hair. 💜

At 55 I do all of those make-up tips already! Nice to get the validation that I’m doing it right.
You're very welcome. I LOVE when you said "Time to relax but remain visible". YES! YES! YES!
@cindy MS thank you for the tip with setting under eyes with urban decay ❤. Me , running to buy some 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
I've watched this video at least 4 times, getting new tips each time. Angie is gorgeous, and I love the transformation. I'm 63 and while I don't often wear makeup, it's great to know how to apply it correctly. I have made plenty of mistakes, but I keep learning. Thanks, Gabi, for providing great tips!
You are so welcome! Thank you for taking the time to support me here :)
The best video I have ever watched on does and don't for mature women. Your explanations were spot on! Angie is gorgeous! Thank you for an amazing tutorial video!❤👍
What a sweet comment. Thank you so much for leaving me such positive feedback Angie. I really appreciate it!
I love your channel! I’m 63 and have gotten so many amazing tips that I use every day. Keep it up! Happy New Year🤩
Absolutely wonderful video!
She is absolutely beautiful and the way she lights up when she smiles is amazing.
Andrea, I’m a few months older than you 😉and have made the same lifestyle choices. I often get mistaken for being 10-15 years younger.
@@joanlynn1702 😀That's awesome Joan!
@@GlamGirlGabi hi what do you think about Marykay products? Thanks in advance
Please share the name of the Wet and Wild CC. Thank you.
Thank you. I love that you get right to the point without repeating yourself. Easy to watch and listen to!
So beautiful! Loving the model's eyes. Ty for your content. I learned so much. I'm 68.
The hair color placement & gray hair & dark hair contrast along side the stunning makeup is fabulous
Thank you so so so much for this video. I’m 51, and for the first time, I’m having a hard time finding the right makeup. Angie’s makeup is perfect! (I love her eyes, so I would definitely play them up like you did.)
You did a great job on this tutorial. Thank you.
I love the complex grays of Angie's hair. It was the first thing I noticed, and I think it looks beautiful. Also, Angie really needs no makeup as she already has beautiful features.
Wow I love how the makeup enhances her beauty. She glows with health and vitality.
What a phenominal woman. Best ive ever come across world wide and does not compliment the new makeup trends that is so heavy these days. ❤
Thank you so much for your videos Gabi. I am Mid-50s now and really struggling to get my pretty back. Can’t wait to try some of the make up tips you have shared.
Thank you, Gabi!! Loved this mature type video, please do more!!! ❤️
@Chugger R Products are listed at the …More portion of video title, scroll down
I agree, it would be great if Gabi would list less expensive options. I was just looking at the listed products and then Googling dupes for them. 😊
Oh wow, I felt the same way...lol. I am 57 and thought most of her audience would be in their 30's or maybe 40's. Happy 50th! Enjoy your weekend 😊💞
@@antoniarebelo6703 Thank you Antonia! You have a beautiful weekend as well!
Hi, I am 61 and love Gabi's channel. I wish all this info had been around when I was younger (and had much more hair!) but better late than never and I am so grateful that people like Gabi are sharing their wisdom. Best wishes
I love Gabi and I'm 51 knocking on 52s door. She's a bright light in this community
Thank you so much!
The makeup used as eyeliner going up on the ends of the eye and up towards the end of the brow is very helpful for me
The only example of powder foundation that works really well on more mature skin, is Max Factor Creme Puff, as it contains lanolin, and after being applied with the puff into moisturised skin, you just buff it with a large fluffy brush and the finish is stunning!
I’m 65 in few months and enjoy the content
Most channels for over 50/60 yr use filters, upsell or obsesses with anti aging
God bless you, Gabi, for being so encouraging. Also, your hair always looks SO healthy and beautiful!
Her hair and her eyes. Beautiful!
😱 Angie is GORGEOUS! Her hair, her eyes, and most of all, her smile, absolutely shine! 😊
Great video, Gabi. Part of my skin prep routine is shaving my face. The peach fuzz can age you.
OOOH yes dermaplanning! That does make a huge difference. Thanks for adding a great suggestion to this conversation!
How can peach fuzz make such a big difference? I am curious!
Doesn't shaving hair make it grow in thicker?
The hair, the eyes, the lips and skin ❤️ 😘
Perfection ❤️
Angie is a real beauty - great skin, striking eyes and I'm so jealous of that gorgeous hair. I'm an esthetician and agree so much with you about the importance of skin care. The undereye patches are amazing btw. especially when you have puffy eyes or dark circles. You can even put them in the fridge for the extra cooling effect. ❄☺
That is a fantastic suggestion! Making them cool feels soooo nice when you have tired or puffy eyes. Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave me some feedback. I appreciate it.
Her best feature is her smile❤ wonderful look on her. She looks vibrant and healthy!🤩
Thank you beautiful Angie for being a wonderful model! Thank you Gabi for sharing your skills and kindness! I’m excited to try these new techniques.
I recently got approved for an upper eyelid surgery because my hooded eyes are actually impacting my eyesight. Now I am afraid to go do it.
@@bluewaters3100 get it done ,I remember when a relative got this done it doesn’t hurt you will be absolutely fine 🌸
@@bluewaters3100 All the best with the surgery if you do decide to go through with it. I'm sure the results will be wonderful.
Me too! Nothing helps because mine are so hooded. It’s impossible to make that little line drawn up a bit on my eyelids because they hang down so far .
Beautiful bright yet soft covered light also helps tremendously.
Her hair and skin were her best features. The blush placement was key❣
This is great, and informative, but could you do the same video featuring women of other ethnicities ? That would be interesting, and quite helpful for those who have various darker skin shades and skin tones.
Thank You for this video, I learned a few things ! 🥰
Hi Gabi ❤. I want to re-watch this video several times! Thank you. It was soooo good. I learned so much. Keep these videos coming! ❤
Her hair is absolutely beautiful!
You can feel where your cheekbones are and then put it on softly, high on your cheekbones.
