Back in the day the only makeup advice we could get was from magazines and books. The products were very limited as well. Thank you for helping us older women to feel beautiful again! ❤ this 😘
Great to watch & learn with you two! I'm 70 and am all about NOT making these mistakes! Thank you so much! (One trick I use is when I am finished with my makeup, if my foundation (and I use a variety of types!) looks too mat (ick!) I place 2 drops of argan oil in my palm, rub my fingers in it, and then dab & press it across my cheeks & forehead, just to give the skin back a youthful glow! Especially good when you live in a humid climate like mine, and everyone is naturally glowing!)
I just love you both!!! You are both so adorable & your inner beauty shines too! Thank you for this video! You answered so many questions I have had & I just wanted to tell you both that “ You are beautiful!” I was so excited when I found Gabby early on & so thankful to meet now Lisa too! Thank you both for sharing all your wisdom & knowledge & love, especially to us over 65 years. I will always be grateful to you both!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Terri from Texas
Just when I thought all the videos of you ladies from that weekend were done, this one came out. I've enjoyed all of you and have gotten some great tips!
I do like Lisa. I have learned a lot from her. I also have learned a lot about skin care from Angie from Hot and Flashy. Between the two of them and now you, my make up looks so much better. And when I reached middle age and my foundation wasn't working for me any longer, I knew something had to change. The skin care routine I have now and the products I use twice a day has improved the look of my foundation and skin. I now get a lot of complements on my skin when I go out, which was something I struggled with for a few years until I figured it out by watching all you wonderful ladies. Thank you.
Love watching your videos! As a Black woman, it would be great to see you have a Black makeup artist as a guest so you can collaborate on tips and colors that would speak to us brown gals!
I purchased the L’Oréal true match nude serum based on your recommendation alone. This absolutely melts into my skin and creates the most skin like finish ever!!! THANK YOU! Winner!! ❤❤❤
It can be challenging sometimes. Exfoliating definitely helps, good skincare hydration & light coverage foundation works best for me. 💖☺️ Would love to see a video about this as well. Always new ideas from various people.
@@GlamGirlGabi Sounds really good. Looking forward to it. Thank you very much for reading my comment & taking my suggestion. Means a lot. Appreciate you. 🙏💖😊
It’s like I wanna be summer “glowing”, but my Houston humidity (hi Austin community house) and job (surgical) make me an oily mess with foundation that doesn’t set right. I do exfoliate 2-3 x week (both physical & chemical), tretinoin, minimal morning routine, but still sits on my skin. The one thing that does help is that once all is said and done, I press the pads of my clean fingers all around my face using the warmth of them to “fuse” the look. It’s either oily & sit on your skin or poof gone. lol 💜🥂
I’m one of your older followers. And the heavy black liner is so real among my friends. For a couple, that liner and black mascara is the only makeup they wear. I live in fear that I’m going to get all judgy on them one of these days 😂 I imagine they’ll have a few suggestions for me.
Cada vez me gusta más tu canal ! Eres una gran profesional, honesta y también generosa ! Te mereces el éxito que tienes y más! Gracias por tus consejos !!!
Thank you for giving us recommendations as you teach us what to do right. It's very helpful. Also, you 2 ladies could put anything on your face's and look great! And I've watched a few videos to where I start putting the blush on my hairline and go down a bit. I find it much more youthful. Im 37 and don't to look old! Thank you 2 for your amazing videos!
I'm actually excited that I have already been using all of these. My makeup game was boosted into high gear after discovering videos like these years ago here on YT. ❤❤
I only use makeup occasionally but I'd like to start wearing makeup daily like I used to. I love all the tips you shared and I feel motivated to get back into makeup. Thank you both! 💖💖
I LOVE how you both went through and did such an AMAZING JOB explaining all of these mistakes that I KNOW I sometimes make too!! My biggest is probably doing the dermaplaining. I really have a hard time I guess doing it the "right way" which I still don't know how to do!!! I don't know if you've made a video showing how to do the complete face the right way and also the right way to trim eyebrows?? Also, I know I'm older than you, but I even have hair that's suddenly appearing like in the middle of my eyelids that I don't know how to remove because I can't see them all when I remove my readers and I even have a magnifying mirror that magnifies x 10 can you PLEASE help???!!!😂😂 Another thing is I noticed that some of the things you've listed is out of my price range so can you PLEASE do drugstore list for all of these items if it's not too much trouble??? Much LOVE to you both!!! I try to watch all of the videos you both make to help us out and I just want to say THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE HELPING US LEARN ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the tips. I lost most of my makeup due to a plumbing leak. It needed replacing anyway, but now it’s imperative. I’ve been dragging my feet because I no longer know what works for me (age 59). You’ve given me a place to start. 💕
I have lots of recommendations depending on your skin type. If you want to see the summary from each video you can check out my Blog here: www.glamgirlgabi.com/
I don´t really like myself with any products on my lips... But watching you I WILL give it a try one more time. Now I really know what to do (hopefully). Great video again xxx
Thank you so much for this! I am guilty of some of these mistakes; you both explained this in great detail. From here on end, I will follow your recommendations and start using more luminous products for my aging skin.
You two are the loveliest duo! I’m so happy that I do all of the “good” makeup things.. except powdering under my eyes. I’ve gotta set that sticky concealer or it’ll end up everywhere! I’ll def be checking out those product recs by Lisa.. you both look beautiful!
I watch and love both of you. I appreciate you supporting the "older" ladies, like myself at 61. I use eyeshadow under my eye, rather than eyeliner. Should I be using a pencil, soft eye liner instead? What's the difference in effect or does my age play into the choice? Thank you so much for such an informative video. (wish you lived in Vancouver Gabi because I want you as my hair dresser).
You can definitely wear eyeshadow under the eye rather than eyeliner. I like this since it looks softer than an eyeliner typically. As long as you are using the right color that would be beautiful.
I appreciate both of you ladies and ALMOST everything you said. However, I must say, as my 43 year old self, I do not do matte lipstick. I don’t do much of anything in matte. But I still get compliments on my metallic and frosty lipsticks, always! I work hard at keeping my lips full and with the least amount of fine lines at possible. This helps! But otherwise, I agree with the rest of what you shared. Thank you, Traci
@Gabi It look like you have your left eyebrow/forehead lifted with tape? JUST KIDDING! You look stunning as always. You are blessed to have such gorgeous eyebrows with a natural perfect lift and shape. ❤
Gabi, can you please do a video on your look today? We have similar coloring and hair style 🥰 and I would love to replicate your look. Thank you from Chicago!!!
This was a great video! I've been wanting to try dermaplaning for a while now, but I've been afraid to try it. Do you know of any contraindications of doing this to your face? Is it better to have it done professionally than using a face razor at home?
Always love the great advice I have learnt so much from watching your channel ,my former mistakes where using black eye liner , black drawn on brows and no lip liner but since applying all your tips and some of the product ideas I can’t believe the difference I’m in my 50s now people think I’m in my 40s , thank you for sharing these amazing tips , your the best! 🌸💕
Great video! You two make a great uplifting and informative team!❤ my 2 big makeup mistakes were not prepping the skin properly- I'd actually skip moisturizer thinking my makeup would stay on longer, and not picking the right concealer. Thanks for setting me straight! 😃❤
Love your content. I hope you can do a future video on primers. There are so many on the market it can be very overwhelming. Especially if you are past a certain age. Can’t wait for the next video.
Thank you so much ladies for this video. I am absolutely 💯 % obsessed with makeup & I want to try out so many new tips I see but all at once 😂 this video is like the big sister sit down ❤
Thanks for the tips ladies! I do agree that a bit of shine on the lips looks better than a flat matte, the problem I have is that when I add any kind of product to create the gloss, my lip color (except the liner) wears away sooo much faster, on my coffee mug, water bottle, etc. so how do you have a glossy lip and not have to constantly reapply the lip set up??
I'm watching you from France, and I love this, and some of youtubeurs (Sananas) 🤩🤩 copy your tutorials, in particular Neutrogena balm around the eyes, 😍😍
I have learned so much from your channel! Thank you for everything! I’m 46 and I have noticed a lot of peach fuzz on my face 😱 I want to try the peach fuzz removal. I’m just afraid on how the hair grows back. I mean I don’t want my face to feel like my husband’s! lol!
Thanks for sharing these great tips. You're just so fun to watch and so talented & beautiful. I thank lisaj for introducing you to me! I appreciate you being here with us !
I have so much trouble with blush. Even though I have almost black hair and a neutral skin tone, I look better in neutral or warm colors. I found the bronzer and blush on Gabi too cool. She has a warm skin tone. The bronzer was placed way too low and too inward and was the wrong color. The blush was well-placed and did amazing things for her cheekbones, but was too cool. You're right about going to Sephora and grabbing some of these products! I'm over 50 and the struggle to find a concealer that doesn't sink into fine lines is real. Rare Beauty is one that works very well for me and I set it with a makeup setting spray which is a great hack I saw on UA-cam for keeping it looking fresh and uncreased for the entire day. Thank you for this video. You have a new subscriber! By the way, I loved Lisa J's makeup. All her colors were perfect for her skin tone and subtle yet beautiful. I really would like to know more about using the right colors for my skin tone.

What a great video!❤ you both did a fantastic job explaining the whys of placement. I hope women my age and older see this and dump that harsh liner and heavy blush. I saw a lady the other day…..right out of Golden Girls with shellacked hair. I know I had a cartoon shock face. 😂 her clothing and hair aged her by 20 years.
fun to watch and new things i learned. Im not sure, u have a video for sensetive eyes and even worse, one eye almost blind? some tricks and hacks how to get both sides simular? it would be a amazing help
Loved the shout out to the melt brow pen! 😃 It is the best and I might be showing my age, but I am actually a fan of frosted lips lol even like the metallic liquid lip colors. That is as close to a gloss look that I get because I do not like gloss at all since my hair always gets stuck in it!! I mostly wear matte lips. Great video and you ladies look gorgeous xoxo 😘❤
Hey, Thanks! I have been watching many of your videos. I just want to ask you something, Is it really important to add concealer under eyes? Can it be done using a full coverage foundation?
For me, I find it pretty important. I don't like the way foundation wears under my eyes. I like a nice concealer that's a little creamy and peachy for color correction.
Hello, great information on the video, really learned alot. I would like your opinion on a matter. I will be a mother of the bride in August. Should the makeup artist use foundation under the eye or just use color corrector and concealer for long lasting and wedding pictures? When I went for a trial makeup run, I left there with deep creases and suspect she put foundation under my eyes. Thank you
You want to keep the products under your eyes minimal. If she's using concealer and/or color corrector and setting it, there shouldn't be a layer of foundation as well, that's a lot of product so it will be more likely to cause creasing especially for longer wear.
Hi Gabi, Can you please give the color and product of the lip pencil and lip gloss. I couldn't find it anywhere in the description. The color is very pretty, and I would like to get it. Thanks for the very informative videos.
I have so many dewy aka oily looking sunscreens so I mix my powder foundations that look heavy and mix a bit of it with that sunscreen for color and to mop up some of the oil, not too much so as not to dilute the spf 🌞
Gabi, Can you show how to safely shave off peach fuzz from the face? I’m afraid I’m going to cut my skin. What is the prep for our face just prior to dermaplaning?
What a great episode! No one can pry my Nars Radiant creamy concealer out of my hands, ever. I use it alone, for a low/no make up look in a few spots, or with the Armani Silk foundation (so delicious!). I so miss the MAC powder cpmpact of the 90s and Oughts! But im too "wise" (mature) now. Really wanted to love laura Geller, but NOOO. Not for me. I tried 3 times. Not happening. However i will definitely try Jane Iredale. Shes such an undersung OG make up innovator. Going tomorrow for her powder foundation. 🤞
Oh my gosh, I am terrible at doing my brows and have this fear of making myself look extremely outdated and kind of "oddball-ish by applying it in the wrong color or in the wrong way. One question ladies: should we use an eye gel or "glue" before applying color to the Brow? Thank you both for this wonderful, helpful video.

Was this question posed as a poll or did you want to actually know the answer? The answer is beautiful and something that everyone should be trying to do. Be Kind ❤
Ho ho True Match Nude L' Oreál Tinted Serum and Armani luminous Silk: According to the experts contains Alcohol Denat ( 3 third on the list!} it's generally an ingredient to avoid, though it's a major no-no for those with dry or sensitive skin. People with oily skin might like its effect because it can temporarily reduce oil and grease. However, it's essentially drying out the skin, and increased use can cause irritation and rednes... Love from Holland.
The eyeliner and lipliner. My lips stay dry and I have a big overbite which makes me only able to wear True waterproof colors and really I have not found one😢 Thanks for sharing❤

Love the makeup tips! The only one I would never do is the face shaving.
Loved this! Also love my BK Beauty brushes…and I truly mean that. They are my favorites.
They are my absolute to go for brushes both on myself and on clients.
Amazing tips 👏🩷✨️ Thank you for sharing ♡
Laura Gellars Powder Foundation is awesome! I'm 65, and it's great!
I have that one too and it is great! That one is actually a baked cream!
I like Huda beauty setting powder! Much more affordable.
Great collab! Thank you both!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@GlamGirlGabi Always enjoy them and learn a lot!
What foundation you recommend for a woman in her forties with very oily, enlarged pores, and aging skin?
Hi Gabi, Can you please give the color and product of the lip pencil and lip gloss. I couldn't find it anywhere in the description. The color is very pretty, and I would like to get it. Thanks for the very informative videos.

I have so many dewy aka oily looking sunscreens so I mix my powder foundations that look heavy and mix a bit of it with that sunscreen for color and to mop up some of the oil, not too much so as not to dilute the spf 🌞
I have an issue with blush and bronzer. I use both, but I put cream blush in with my bronzer.
Love your hair and makeup Gabi.
Gabi, Can you show how to safely shave off peach fuzz from the face? I’m afraid I’m going to cut my skin. What is the prep for our face just prior to dermaplaning?
Love your channel! So helpful, so many things I needed to "relearn" after 45😂
What a great episode! 🤞
That Mac Powder was such a staple back in the day. Let me know if you love the Jane Iredale!
I’m a 1st time watcher and I’m hooked! What color lip gloss did you use? Was it Guava? Thanks!
Omg thank you for the tutorial 😊 love you guys 😊
Oh my gosh, I am terrible at doing my brows and have this fear of making myself look extremely outdated and kind of "oddball-ish by applying it in the wrong color or in the wrong way. One question ladies: should we use an eye gel or "glue" before applying color to the Brow? Thank you both for this wonderful, helpful video.
Gracias por hacerlo en español excelente contenido bendiciones ❤
What lipliners do you both recommend that are creamy?
Loved your video -such good tips!!
I just added the one I used in the video - It's the MAC Lipliner in Soar.

Already watch Lisa. Love you both!
Thanks for sharing fun makeup video ❤
Thanks for watching!
Eow again another awesome video. Thank you ladies for duch wonderful tips. ❤
How far from the nose should blush end? Are you putting it right on your cheekbone? I have some crows feet so that gets accentuated by blush
Great tips. Gabi can you list the lip products you used?
I added them for you!

Gabi it is the same with mascara. It has to be True waterproof because my eyes water constantly❤
Ho ho
True Match Nude L' Oreál Tinted Serum and Armani luminous Silk:
According to the experts contains Alcohol Denat ( 3 third on the list!} it's generally an ingredient to avoid, though it's a major no-no for those with dry or sensitive skin.
Creamy matt lips thats a stable love the nyx butter gloss for this
