I wouldn't say he was outclassed in terms of the whip vs sword. But in the sword vs sword fight he was. Alucard's stable weapon has always been the sword so it makes sense that he would be better with it.
When Alucard did his shadow-teleport strike, and Trevor caught the blade with a counter, Alucard observed his movement in a split second. He knows Trevor is dangerous and a true blue Belmont. Few other humans can fight vampires hand-to-hand like that.

I like how Trevor always took advantage of immotals' mindset. They jumped to conclusion that a human wouldn't put his life in danger to lure them in. He was completely outclassed by Alucard and Death, but in the end, he was still one step closer to victory. This dude fought like a Belmont and won like a drunkard.

The swipe at Trevor's face followed by a withdrawal & another slash instead of pressing the advantage while Trevor was off balance, casually, turning his back & doing spin attacks, etc. Meanwhile, every swipe trevor takes is aimed directly at Alucard and he presses every advantage he gets.
Alucard does take some.hits, and imy favorite part is when he really puts his back into pushing down the sword against Belmont Sure Alucard wasnt necessarily on the ropes, but Trevor put him through his paces, even as drunk and out of practice as he was

The Vampire Killer's effect is severely diminished by Alucard's human side. Even though he's the son of Dracula, the whip just isn't that effective against him; not like Dracula...whom the whip is specifically empowered to destroy; along w/ any creatures/entities that side w/ him.
It’s worth noting that Trevor did this without any upgraded gear that he gets later on. If he wasn’t so drunk all the time I think he would’ve been a match for Dracula all on his own

Am i the only one who thinks that dracula was given injustice. His wife was killed, his son betrayed him, some morally questionable vampire hunter gets the girl, kills him and lives happily ever after. Even those church people did not get punished.
This is late but Dracula was a literal monster to humans for hundreds of thousands of years… he impaled people and let his generals do whatever they wanted in their own regions. Just because Dracula found love and decided to turn good for 3 months doesn’t mean humans should forget him killing their friends and family while having a smile on his face 💀

Trevor's very first whip attack, and 2. when Trevor slammed him through the air with the whip. As for the second comment. I didn't know Trevor killed Dracula, you could have started with that.

That is one of the few things that bother me in the series (i loved it). It is very common that when two main protagonist fights it must end in some kind of a draw. It strikes me as a bit of cowardice from the writer. I would love the fight if Alucard or Trevor won without discussion.
Eh, it's a fair compromise to say all party members are starting in relatively equal grounds while giving them each a moment to shine More so than cowardice, to have one win either leads to the other one-upping them or to the narrative heavily shifting on someone's favor, so it's more like setting a standard for who they are
The Castlevania games been around since1987. I grew up playing them the story plot was awesome. The anime series is perfect however my only issue is that Simon is the most notable and strongest of the belmont family. I really wanted to see his timeline in the anime series what a disappointment to ne personally.

Well, Trevor quickly went from the "Belmonts always killed vampires" phase to "okay, looks like we're working as a team now"

That is one of the few things that bother me in the series (i loved it). It is very common that when two main protagonist fights it must end in some kind of a draw. It strikes me as a bit of cowardice from the writer. I would love the fight if Alucard or Trevor won without discussion.
Eh, it's a fair compromise to say all party members are starting in relatively equal grounds while giving them each a moment to shine
More so than cowardice, to have one win either leads to the other one-upping them or to the narrative heavily shifting on someone's favor, so it's more like setting a standard for who they are
I think it shows more that Trevor doesn't have a chance, but he is willing to die for killing a vampire.

The Castlevania games been around since1987. I grew up playing them the story plot was awesome. The anime series is perfect however my only issue is that Simon is the most notable and strongest of the belmont family. I really wanted to see his timeline in the anime series what a disappointment to ne personally.
