i am guessing when it comes to fighting normal men its easy. even a skilled combatant is much slower and much weaker than even the weakest vampire and monsters. even when he is drunk off his ass, he can beat up a whole bar by himself.
The Belmonts are supposed to be a lot stronger than normal humans.

I also like how Trevor legit tried to leave instead of provoking a fight.
Trevor is down right now but he comes back from it by the end which makes one of his speeches in the fourth season so good, he comes full circle and becomes a hero and man to be proud of in the end. :)

Quick side note about the excommunication thing: Baron Leon Belmont (the first recorded Belmont) formerly worked with the Church to punish 'heretics and heathens' during the Crusades, but ended up leaving in 1094 when he was forbidden to rescue his betrothed from a powerful vampire and his ungodly hordes (which the Church weren't bothering with), losing his title (and presumably his land too) in the process. He got a sweet whip out of it, though.

In the original canon the Belmonts were banished from Transylvania sometime prior to Trevor's birth because the people feared thier power. They were welcomed back after his grandson Simon defeated Dracula in the first game.

My favourite part of this scene is the whole 'correlation does not imply causation', thing. Yes, Dracula and his cronies swarmed the land because the Belmonts were excommunicated and their lands siezed. However, this doesn't happen out of revenge, or because the Belmonts were communing with dark powers.
It happens because the Belmonts weren't holding them back anymore.

The voice acting in this, is really fucking top notch, you feel the emotions!
I don't know about hate, that's a bit of a strong word.

I prefer adult protagonist over teens any day. Comedy is more pure and relays less on puberty struggles and sex jokes, and I am talking about 99% anime ever. And I know this is not an anime, In case you thought I did.

As a person who hasn't played a single Castlevania game. This series was entirely new to me and I find it amazing!
Trevor became one of my favorite protagonists in just 4 episodes. With only like a few moments character development. Not only is he relatable, but he's noble in his own weird way.
I also loved the chemistry between him and Sypha. Seeing how their personalities differ among one another. And the build up to their meeting with Alucard.
I can tell this is going to get a lot more interesting, and I'm all for it.

I'd just like to say to anyone who hasn't tried this show yet, you need to give it a shot! Honestly I went into it expecting just mind-numbing action but what I got was so much more! The story is amazing, the acting is superb, and there's even dark comedy that doesn't feel out of place. It's actually really good comedy even. It is literally more than everything we could have asked for from Castlevania. It is a masterpiece among dubbed anime.
Edit: Found out that it's not anime. It was made in America. I was pleasantly surprised. xD

It slightly twists the lore and focuses on things that the story was more adult about. In a less serious Americans love everyone being dirty style. It's a framing issue and a focus issue.
It's as Americanized as it can be while using the story from the games.
You can't complain it doesn't use it. But like a bad English dub it's framed in such an asshole way.
It IS anime. Its bullshit to say that it has to be made in Japan for it to be anime. RWBY is considered anime according to Monty Ohm, forgive me for miss-saying his name but he says it doesn't have to be from Japan for it to be anime. The style is what counts. Netflix dubs it as anime. Even anime news network dubs it as anime.
