Even in death, Lisa was selfless and tried to quell her beloved’s wrath.
Because she knew she loved and fell in love with a walking Anti-Christ. She knew he was one bad day away from causing Armageddon and tried and failed to reign him in.
Wait why was Lisa in hell if the only sin she committed was in the eyes of man and not God?
How?

Told them if they killed her Dracula would destroy them all. She did this at several points and they still didn’t listen. Then, while dying prayed for mercy, not for herself but for them.
This man is a good representation of the sentence "a hero would sacrifice you for the world but a villain would sacrifice the world for you"
Nah, you dont know what it takes to be a hero. Heroes are those who can bring miracles into reality. Heroes never sacrifices anyone. That's why they can bring forth miracles because it will take a miracle to save all, absolutely. Heroes even go the extent of saving their enemies. Those people who shared the same qualities as a hero but are willing to make sacrifices and kill villains to ensure the safety of the majority are called GUARDIANS. YES. The difference between HEROS and GUARDIANS is the power. HEROES can bring miracles while their inferior version, the GUARDISNS can only make sacrifices for they do not have the power to ensure the absolute safety of ALL.
@@bjsalon Have you watched literally any hero film ever? To stop the villain they sacrifice entire cities and don't care for collateral damage at all. What even is a hero worth if the miracle they bring is a completely destroyed city, thousands of deaths and no future for anyone except them.
@@annesophie4037 those aren't heroes. Those are guardians. People are misusing the term Hero.
@@bjsalon So basically heros do not exist because there is no victory without sacrifice xD
@@annesophie4037 Yes. That's the reason why heroes only exist in stories because stories are just created by people and thus can be altered to suit the whims of the writer.
I like how Dracula was kind to the old woman, telling her to leave, knowing she was kindhearted, it showed that he had a soul, even if his wife was dead.
sadly that may have been death pulling strings, even going as far to report Dracula's wife
She grieved with him that’s why he spared her and her family.
@@funnyblog100makes what he did even worse though. She did say no to what hapenned to her. At the very least she left and didn't agree but would have been killed all the same.
wasn’t it revealed later on that that old woman is literally the reason lisa got murdered
It wasn’t her fault. She was naive
Dracula was a tragic villain. I felt so bad, he falls in love and loses the person he loves while everyone sits idly by letting it happen. I would be vengeful too, knowing all those people could've done something but never lifted a hand.
Its debatable that everyone beside the church are innocent
What's not debatable are the poor children dying there are innocent
What is everyone going to do,stand up to the church?
Typical love story
Well if anyone did stand up to the church, there's a good chance they'd be ignored, arrested, or burned right next to her. That bishop is a dick. Dracula probably could've prevented this by crafting some kind of magic amulet or object to notify him if she's in danger. Especially given that I don't get the impression he checks in very often. Or he could've given her some kind of security detail
Not the first time it happened for him technically
Dang the animators had no chill showing children being part of the slaughter and these were the same animators who made fairly oddparents

And yet, here we are. The Devil lied! Why should we be surprised?

Funny that Christians keep mindlessly repeating that the Devil is a liar. I have yet to see a verse in the Bible where the Devil actually tells a lie.
I feel bad for Dracula. But god this episode was amazing when I first watched it. My favorite scene was when the blue demon and the bishop were talking in the church and the demon told the bishop, “Lies? In the house of God?” and “Gods not here” chills every time.
that was cringe writing
Best scene ever
Even God was like "sorry not sorry my children. You fuck around, you find out"
I'm grateful to this series because, like HELLSING, it got people interested in the real Vlad Dracula.
I would have sided with dracula like hector and Issac cause I was disgusted and disappointed in humanity and their arrogance and hubris for power and greed. He was a lonely hermit, found love and made and cared for his family, but due to a rumor they killed her and tore him apart, losing someone after all those years of love for some people to take them away and expect to be in the right and now they received retribution.
Trevor later hears this story and even he believes Dracula isn't in the wrong. He only looks at the ground and says "Shit..." I think the main reason he continues to fight Dracula is because he's a vampire hunter and feels he has to.
I'm rooting for the man tbh
What would you be able to offer him? Those 2 could create an army.
Crusades and Witch Hunts are two of the majorly stupid decisions made by the Church before... It's like they didn't learn from Jesus's teaching about not acting like the Roman-Jew Lawers/Pharisees.
I may be Christian but... I'd root for good ol' Drac on this.
Lisa wanted Drac to take a walk... A moonlit walk... One that the vamp quite enjoyed... All to just return home with his wife killed. Now he unleashed Zero Level of Restraint and commanded the monsters to Search and Destroy.
I wouldn't. Sorry for Dracula but ppl lose their love ones everyday. I'm not killing innocent ppl, women, babies, children and men because one decide to take it upon themselves to kill. You have to realize everyone's life here is at risk, more than likely if someone would have stood up, they would've die the same way. Most ppl at the time had no knowledge and followed the priest wishes/lies to save their own life. Stop trying to ride Dracula top, and Start using your brain💀. Imagine if you were one of the innocents.
Such an epic and amazing character. Dracula in this series is the best he has ever been done. This series is the Justice of being done masterfully and it shows. Unlike other hack anime or live action that has been released in the past few years. Castlevania is truly a masterpiece and will go down as all time favorite.
Well at least Dracula had compassion (Somewhat) he basically told the old woman who gave him the unfortunate news "Yall get a free pass) before he went beast mode on the entire town and its inhabitants 😗
I think he also might not have actually wanted to kill the old woman then and there as she was actually bringing flowers to her house and didn't sugarcoat what was done to her.
He saw she was respectful towards his wife and returned that respect.
"You have a year to leave"
"No shit, Dracule. I am out"

There wouldn't be any plot without the death of Dracula's wife, but with access to a million magic items, I think a "summon Dracula" button would be really helpful while he was away.
But then there would be no plot! 🤪
She probably thought that her having a panic button would undermine the purpose of Dracula learning to live like a human. He would always be distracted waiting for a potential call instead of focusing on his journey.

@@ruleofwtf On that note, we see throughout the series that communication mirrors, while rare, do exist to a certain capacity in various forms. I cant believe the amount of patience dracula had to fruit for a year i would have done it right away
he could have probably wiped out the town single-handedly right here and now.. but at this point he wanted the WHOLE of humanity dead (or at the least the entire country, with the "wipe out all humans" things coming maybe later), and for that, he needed time to gather an army to do it.
Seriously though, aside from Drac’s wife being a genuinely good person, why were they mad? She actually helped people and even if she was using black magic, when you deal with the devil, it’s usually your own soul on the line, at least they could’ve waited and seen if she chose to try to sacrifice a person. I get sexism was a thing at a time like this, but she seemed like a holy figure to me. Beautiful, miraculously heals people. Keeping her alive was a win-win. These priests are dumb as fuck
Easy, she became more popular and trusted than the church & that's never a good idea, man or woman.
@@fwhagads Good Point, forgot to think about that.
yah the church does NOT like competition, especially competition that provides more results than praying to god does. That, and as soon as you are deemed to be a witch, everything you do, even good things, get immediately labelled as evil and wicked in some way, shape or form.
For those people saying the innocent kids not deserve to die in dracula revenge, you're right they don't deserve to die
But it's not dracula fault, it's their parents fault for not hearing the warning year before
When you know a dark creature vowing to take his vengeance exactly 1 year ago but you're not running away and even celebrate on that day, it's your own fault

Yeah but don’t forget these people are mostly poor, uneducated, and heavily rely on the church and its teachings to tell them what to do. It’s the church’s fault for their death.
It's kinda fucked up that in the short amount of time they got me to empathize with the character of Drac and Lisa, I had already come to the conclusion I wasn't going to feel bad for anybody in Targoviste.
Ive been meaning to watch this. Got 4 seasons to watch & S1 is the shortest. I am with Dracula 100%.
In fact, after this clip, he had a good point. The rest of the villagers could've spoken up, but they didnt. Shoot, that goes for everyone else, considering that the Witch Hunts lasted from 1560 to freakin' 1750. They lasted for nearly 200 years. I thought that stopped after at least 100, after 4 generations.
Then there's the Church casting out The Belmonts. They casted out the people that wouldve fought Dracula & his forces.
And I know thats not all the Church did. They persecuted The Speakers, blamed them for Dracula's attacks.
So they got rid of their best defenses.
Idk how tf Alcucard sides with the humans. They killed his mother. He shouldve been just as pissed.
Because Alucard did what his mother would've wanted.
I've done some research on the witch hunts, and the only real witch hunting that was done was done in Salem, and it was all based the book Maleus Maleficarum which was oddly never used by the church.
So way to just miss the entire point of the show I guess...

WTF?
The city of Targoviste
100% Justified. NGL, I completely understand where Dracula is coming from here and mostly agree with what he initially did and would consider it morally and ethically correct. - Mostly -
I understand his pain, anger, and his frustration. To lose the one good thing you ever had in your existence, the one thing that actually viewed you as someone, rather than just an evil monster. Someone you could confide in and have deep intellectual conversations with within a world full of sheep. Aside from them being lovers, they were best friends and colleagues. Unlike most of the people Dracula interacted with who had selfish intentions, Lisa was genuinely a good person. She sought knowledge, not for her own selfish wants, but so that she could help educate and heal others. She believed in the good of humanity. She had hope and faith that they weren't all bad and were deserving of salvation. In all honesty, she would have been a Saint or the most deserving of being one. So, losing her radiant light from this world was almost too much to bear. Dracula even went so far as to participate in human ceremonies and traditions, like Marriage, traveling the world and pretending to act like a human, all for the sake of Lisa.
The ONLY part I disagree with Dracula on and Agree with Adrian (Alucard) on is the murder/killing of innocents that either had no voice/choice or couldn't stop the tragedy that happened. Especially young children. Furthermore, unleashing demons unto the living world is an act that cannot be undone. However, I do agree that those people who COULD have said something in defense of Lisa or who COULD have come to her aid, SHOULD have. Not a single human did. Only one little old woman who was one of Lisa's patients came to mourn her. She just accepted that Lisa was to die. So yes, I get it. You too would probably seek revenge against those who gravely wronged you, stole all the happiness and light of the world from you, and committed a severe injustice. The ones who absolutely deserved to be tortured and to die horrible and painful deaths were the false prophets. Dracula even showed humanity, compassion, and graciousness by granting the people of Targoviste the option, the choice, to save themselves and flee before he returned and took revenge one year later. With their foolishness and ignorance, they chose not to heed Dracula's warning, and thus was a downfall of their own making. However, the complete genocide and destruction of Targoviste is where it should have ended. Those people, that town/city, was the only one that wronged him and Lisa. The fact that Dracula was so far gone and lost to his pain and despair, that he decided that it wasn't good enough, that he had to exterminate ALL of humanity, was the fatal sin that made him the antagonist that had to be stopped. Dracula could have confided in and found salvation in his and Lisa's son, Adrain (Alucard), but he didn't. #Castlevania #DraculaVladTepes #LisaTepes #Targoviste

At 1:57 there is a skull in the flames, and a bell toll before the explosion when dracula shows up. I love little hidden touches like that
I like more of a twist of roles here the Bishop sounds like a snake when he says “black magic” whilst Dracula is completely clear with what he’s saying 2:16 another thing which makes you hate the Bishop is how he talks when Dracula appears before him literally demanding what has happened to his wife whilst the Bishop says a prayer whilst shaking it makes you know he’s weak and his love in god is non-existent aside from the outside 1:59
Poor Alucard. In all this, he lost his mother and THEN had to try and stop his father from doing the ONE thing his mother begged him WHILE SHE BURNING TO DEATH not to do only to ultimately fail and then have to kill his own father too 😭
If a burning head named Dracula..told m to leave city....I'll leave the second 😁🔥....and thy wr celebrating....thy had it coming...its nt his fault
It's such a weird thing, you actually sympathize with the villain like i saw the body of a dead child in the scene and I was like "yeah, you fking children"
Please note: don’t ever kill a supernatural being’s wife.
What they did to Lisa was disgusting. I am so glad they didnt make it into too long of a scene. She did not deserve that treatment.
After a flaming head tells he would kill everyone after a year, I would immediately run away right there and then
He needed one year to raise his army, generals and get the forgemasters to craft in his ranks.
Also, i really think Wallachians were Orthodox, while here there are presented in a Catholic style
Y'know, I can't really blame him. At least not for that city.
Imagine moving to the town after the warning and no one tells you
I found it nice how Lisa is beeging Dracula not to harm humanity for the sins of a couple zealots. Very biblical, too, like Jesus in the cross, begging for god to forgive us because of our ignorance. The irony, of course, is that Lisa is not talking to god, quite the opposite in fact.
I never noticed this before but there seems to be a parallel between Liza begging Dracula not to hurt them because they don’t know and Jesus saying “forgive them father for they do not know what they are doing.”
The irony she was basically a saint and she died the sane way as Jeanne D'arc.
Wallachia is a country mate
Indeed, and Dracula probably planned to turn it, along with every other country from Wallachia to japan, America, india and every other place of human residence.
Vengeance is a m a d scary thing
Romania
@@cutittaierau3128 romania didn’t exist at the time
@@CrunchyNapkins România is the Name ,Walachia is the old one .. so yeah is the same ,it answers the question in this context,Walachia actually I thinks it was oltenia ,not transilvania so difference here 😏
Yes, to be more specific, in the Middle Ages, Romania of today was divided into three states: Walachia, Moldovia and Transylvania. But as I see, the prests of Walachia seem to be Catholic, not Orthodox, like the medieval Walachia was, and though that doesn't seem to matter, it makes a huge difference.
Drac is one of those folks who has the power to change the world but because he had a tragic event he decided to direct it to take it over
I felt his pain and I cheered for him to get his revenge! It broke my heart when he fought his son. This show! I don’t know where it belongs in the all time great list but it’s in there
Dracula: Leave!
People: no!
Dracula: ༽◺_◿༼
These mfs deserved everything coming to them. They had 1 year to change or feel some sort of remorse for the crime they all committed and chose to spit in Draculas face.
Bruh a demon face appears in a fire yelling at you and you look at it and tell it that it doesent exist 💀
Dracula had every reason to be pissed off. And he was fair in his judgment on them. So, they have no one to be mad at.
Never heard about this series, but now I'm intrigued ❤
Honestly felt bad for the children, legit worst parents of the century if Dracula himself said you had a year to leave the city and you as parents decided to carry on with your children there
Darwinism at it's finest here 3:25
Imagine being told to run away with a year headstart by a big flaming face and not heeding it's warning. Literally your fault if you died.
If the people of Wallachia would have been people of science, they would not have burned Dracula's wife, in the first place.
moral of the story = science
If people weren’t as gullible as religious freaks, nobody would believe witch craft accusations. No innocent women would’ve burned
how to make a monster 101
find a lonely soul, teach it joy, love and care, give him dreams of happiness and bliss.
and take it all away
Dracula: You have one year to leave.
Me: Honey, pack our things and grab the kids! We're moving to France!
I feel like Alucard could’ve had a chance to have talked his father down before any carnage could have happened, if he wasn’t directly confrontational, which can make someone double down. He could have opened with “Is this really what my mother would want?”, instead of telling his father “I won’t let you.”
Of course, it may not have worked, as Dracula was too overwhelmed with grief to think clearly at that moment, and once that rage burns away, all that’s left is listless depression. So it’s not like it’s guaranteed to make Dracula realize, “Holy shit, Lisa wouldn’t have wanted me to do this!”
I think he was merciful because of his wife she knew he would do something so for the sake of her he gave them a year that's what I think 🤔
In their defence, if a face made of fire began talking to me on a bonfire, I'd start believing in black magic too
If a giant flaming head showed up after I killed his wife and told me I got one year to make peace with myself and leave. I would’ve packed my shit, changed my name, and moved across the whole damn world
Giant flaming face in the sky tells me I have a year to beat feet, I don’t need a _day,_ I’m freaking gone that very minute.
Easily one of my favorite shows. Shit was incredible
Drakie boi : "you have 1 year to---"
Me : aight bro, leaving now,not gonna even wait for you to finish that sentence
See Dracula was generous giving them one year. If that was my wife, that city would’ve been dusted the moment they burned her.
While I don’t agree with Dracula killing everyone there, I do admit, he made a good point. Humans led by someone who uses fear to control the masses are prone to do terrible things. So by all means, yeah I understand Dracula’s reasoning here.
The real Vlad Tepes also impaled people on stakes.
First he did that to captured Ottomans.
Then to his own people. Dude was crazy
And people still act like he was some national hero who did what needed to be done. Such morons.
Ye but the real Tepes wasn't a vampire god so clearly this show isn't about the real guy.
He gave you a year and you thought he was bluffing. You actually thought DRACULA king of the vampires who studied both science and magic and could summon an army to that could make the devil and all of hell envious was actually bluffing?!!!!!
Damn imagine just arriving to that city the day before this happened
"shit happens"
