@@RedleafRanch it was a local feed and tack store that was a partner for the tour. And I became obsessed with the chicks we sold and dedicated myself to learning as much as I could about chicken care. So they let me tag along on the rides, cuz I was known as “Chicken Girl” at the store.

I looove when people create/make this adorable yet functional homes for their animal friends, in my case our dogs&cats sleep with us sooo we do a lot recycling with old clothes and we make them cute beds because kings&queen don't touch or sleep in the ground, their little naps are always in some surface.
Also as an artist the phrase "I'm making it out as I go" is basically 90% of the artistic process and the love of an artist 🤣.

I wish I had even ONE grand to put towards a new coop! We have excellent tree cover so we free-range our flock, but the coop is so small and so hard to clean. I want a waist-high coop with a back panel that swings down for easy raking out 😫
I do my best with what we have, and recently we did manage to find a few pallets, t-posts, and assorted pieces of wire fencing around the property to create a small run for just a few hens to be treated for issues or get broody and have chicks. I'm so happy!

Love the chicken tower, I would add more hardware cloth because chicken wire keeps chickens in but doesn’t keep predators out.

Since April '24 I am a chicken Mama and I love my six ladies, two of which are rescue hens out of the egg industry.
I spoil them as best I can, with snacks, healthy food and a nice coop and run. I loooooove your new coop and run, ist beeeeeautiful.
What do you plan on adding?
A roof or cover on the run, for shade or safety?
I'm curious how the chicken tower will look when it's completed.

This is such a beautiful coop and very impressive - you highkey could have a successful career freelancing carpentry projects. My wife and I are currently in the process of saving/looking for a home in the country, and have agreed that we both want chickens. Definitely going to use this design as a reference in the future!
