I have to say I have watched a lot of tutorials and classes, some free but mostly paid for. And yours are the most well prepared, produced, and informative (better than most I have paid for)! Amazing that you share all your expertise with the world! Love you guys and all your art, thank you thank you thank you!

melanie dott Oh, thank you for your support. We love creating these videos. They are long, and a little technical we know, but there's so much to learn and do with cakes, and we just want to share each and every step. We feel really blessed to have such supportive viewers. xoxo

Vanessa i hope from the time you made this cake to your current wedding cake your pricing has gone up. $1400 is really underpriced in my opinion. $2500 - $3000 would hv been right. I mean 4 layers of mudcake on each tier, choc ganache filling, the structure and internal support system, thought out design, detailed piping, precision to measurements, the neat work and quality, 4 days and 22 hours. If one cant pay what its worth than i must say you have so much love and passion to what you do rather than just doing it just for the money. It's a remarkable effort. I respect that and hats off to you. I can definitely learn from your self discipline, hardwork and perseverance as its so inspiring. Thanks for sharing. Mel, Singapore

SanctuaryHut think you realy this ist 4 time's 22 hours work ???? I make as well wedding cake and this is not true whot you write about. So paying more than 1400 dollar it will by to much .

It looks different than the gold luster dust I have been using. Where can I find a set of your plastic round cutters? Also, I have been doing cakes for 13 years and really appreciate every technique and tip that you give. All I can say is WOW! I have a couple of questions though. 1. How long would this cake take to make from start to finish (including the time the cake needs to rest and set up)? 2. How much would you charge for a cake like this?
Also, I can't believe you can pick up cake so easily without it denting and ruining the finish on it. Fantastic and inspiring!

minha kabeer The brand of tape "3M" states on their website that the tape glue is non toxic, and that is does not leave a residue. We feel comfortable based on that to eat cakes that have had tape on them. If you prefer to just mark it out with pin holes etc that is fine too.

I think using actual ball sprinkles in gold would be better for the cushion layer, but it still looks very good. It looks more like a cushion than the ball sprinkles would have.

This cake is beyond beautiful. I am just curious if it was iced with royal icing or was that fondant? If it is fondant... how do you get such a sharp edge? I however would have spent less time by painting all those buttons and pendants gold first, then apply to the cake. I will be following you on all the social media I use. Thank you !

Triathlon Tray Thanks for watching. It's fondant. We have two tutorials on covering in fondant, so you can see Jon's technique and mine.

Wonderful tutorial. Thank you. Can I ask where you got the plastic you have your fondant pieces under (to keep from drying out) to use for the billowing. Thank you.
