I know I know, you all want more ART content, but this video was too funny not to make. Buying and reviewing bootleg and fake RossDraws merch 😂 it's a common occurrence for many artists to eventually find their art slapped on a random mug or shirt they never designed on some corner of the internet. My art has been stolen and repurposed for as long as I can remember, but can some of these items compare to my official merch?

Might be easier to make RossDraws stickers that people could use for their phone cases or anything else they would want to apply it to. Could even make decals for car windows as well. If you really want to be crazy, have a vinyl car wrap with RossDraws prints. lol.

This video is GENIUS! Fact is, it is impossible to take down every single company that steals artists merch. Art thieves have no pride. I literally had my own works stolen despite a large watermark on it lol. But this video is pure gold as it shows fans that buying from the official source has it's obvious perks and give a chuckle in the process as well lol.
A genuine Rossdraws blanket would be so awesome to buy for real!
This whole video made me laugh so hard as an artist whose art got stolen before, you actually handled it really well and it was very amusing to end it with a "gonna send the cease and desist" so casually while getting ideas for new merch. You're really an inspiration
Also, I'm very satisfied to know I'm not the only one who never posts the High-resolution version of finished works online because it's such an easy way for thieves to take that art, and then you have to potentially deal with the drama over the stolen Hi-Res artwork

Can you talk more about the part where you said you don't post the highest quality of your artwork online? Maybe on another vid? Like how do we post something online that's not the highest quality but still looks good in a sense (good in a way that it's not getting pixelated or anything). What's the best middleground size to upload on social media?
I recommend scaling your images down by AT LEAST 40% and saving as jpg (unless you need your image to retain transparency) for sharing on web. It also depends on how large your artwork usually is so I recommend messing around with various sizes until you find what looks good enough for you.
For reference, my original files are usually around 3000x4500, and the ones I share online are 1200x1700. If you find that resizing makes your images too blurry, you could try editing it slightly. Personally I like to use CSP's sharpening filters to bring out the details more. Hopefully this is at least a little useful for you!
Photoshop has that feature where you can save the photo in a web quality version something.( I just saw these in UA-cam)
Devaintart printshop has been known to leak source print files and not take any responsibility or compensate artist for their mistake. It's smart for Ross to do high res prints in house instead.
Ross, ideas for official merch:
headphones with nima and faye
notebooks with any of the nimaverse characters
backpacks, sling bags, etc
The puzzle sounds like good idea actually, hell I bet there's a bootleg Ross draws puzzle cube (rubix cube) out there somewhere.
As a fellow artist I feel you and I would always rather have the real thing, not some ripped off merch. And supporting artists you love is good because it’s how we make a living, at least that’s the dream.

This is why I mostly keep my art away from DeviantArt, and other sites, to avoid theft. All tho it's Hilarious how the knock-offs puff put of existence. Sadly since they sent you the package they can't hide cause of addresses and many other things involved. Stella better get them all!!!! Im rooting for her. Ross if you read please reply 😂
A lot of the addresses are warehouses might not be owned by them and they could be renting or using a fake front of house. I think this is why it’s so hard to prosecute because they can just up and disappear like they never existed. 🤭

Mass produced hoodies sell for 60€ (which is around $67 so not too far from your hoodie). And as I said, they're mass produced, without being hand dyed and all.
$75 (which would be around 66€ then) is a really good price for a well made hoodie.
Also, when it comes to supporting artists we really like, the price is very often the right one. I ordered a portrait of my cat not too long ago at only $40. It's the price the artist gave, but I still felt a bit bad because I really like her art style and she deserves so much more.

I hate it, I work in some "print on demand" sites, 100% trustworthy , I DONT UPLOAD High res designs on my social media, and even doing that people still manage to steal my works. I found them on Aliexpress, and sites alike, I dont get HOW they manage to get them, I dont know if they hack the "print on demand" sites to get the High res file or they print the merch with the low res image from my social media, but either way is disgusting, they sell something is not their and a lot of times they even modify the original design. It`s a shame that a lot of stores dont control these things like they should. . . . The best way to fight this is informing your fans and followers about the official merch u sell and where u sell it, like u do on this video.

Letting person know that stealing art is not ok and asking permission to use artist art is really important and if an artist doesn't want there art stolen or edited and etc.
