@@RossDraws Thanks Ross and RossDraws’ team! Been on Patreon for a very long time but never got time to follow the bootcamp. Time to restart! Edit: grammar
Would you consider doing an art challenge where you draw a piece in a style that's your opposite? Like, do linework, harsh shading, more angular shapes etc. It could just be fun to watch or informative since you would explain what you pay atention to most in your paintings to make them distinctive.
I’m so happy! THANK YOU!!!!!! Doing the redraw assignment is actually what gave me the courage to start an Instagram. Thank you so much for the guidance! 😁
Thank you so much again!!! I am truly honored to have my portfolio win! the bootcamp was such an amazing experience I wouldn’t have improved so much without it ;D
All of these look amazing Ross. This is making me want to make a comeback to my digital 2D art n take the BootCamp over the summer. Thanks for this surprise upload to encourage me, Ross. Sadly had to drop out when I ran into financial trouble over Christmas break. Thankfully I got it mostly resolved now. So prepare for my comeback during summer break Ross. I hope to improve on my character designs and the environment through this which I'm looking forward to. :)
This is a great advertisement. Super envious of people who can dedicate themselves to something long enough to improve so much. You're a great teacher with some great students.
Aahhhhh I love you ross I've been following for more than a year now and I'm continuing to follow you until the end. You inspire me everyday to practice and do better artworks ❣️ Thank you for giving me joy through your videos 💖
I remember doing so much progress last year in my art, and now I'm halfway through the next year of art, and I'm tackling illustration since that's what I want to be for the game industry, But I've been feeling lost... there's so much to learn and I feel like its endless. I've been feeling like I'm not improving much, even tho I know I am, but not enough, since I'm tackling al ot of subjects, I cant really see much improvement, since I'm always trying to learn. I think I'll join your bootcamp to get a clear line of what I should do :) seeing how your students learned so much in the span of 6 months really makes me feel like i need to work harder, thank you for the wakeup call :) Hope to join it soon!
I'm actually on the verge of tears!!😭😭 Like EVERY.SINGLE.ONE. of ya'll did such incredible jobs!! Their progress and redraws are actually one of my dreams and seeing how your boot camp made my dream come true to them just made me tear up. Amazing job Ross, thank you for teaching these amazing and hardworking artists!😭😭🤍
Just feeling refreshed after seeing thoes artworks inspiring me to do more and more every day maybe one day i may too reach that level. tnks for inspiring ross been my icon since the start 😁😁
Unfortunately, I can't join this bootcamp because of time and money, but OMG one day I'm gonna join it bc GAH DAMN these look so good!!!!!!!!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Well I just got promoted, so I will use my first extra income to reinvest it into myself, and this is definitely a good way of using that money, and to build my future 🙂
those are SO COOL, i wish i could congratulate your students, that is truly amazing!!! I hope I could Join your bootcamp at some point, it seems to be Really good, I hope you continue to teach art, you are spectacular at it!!! Just from the Videos you posted on youtube, my art has improved significantly, thank you for all the tips and other stuff you put on this platform!!!!
Wow this is sooo amazing work! Both from the students & the teacher! The lessons also look very appealing & fun. I am really unhappy with my art rn T-T BUT thanks to this I feel super motivated to save up and practice hard! I want to give it my all but this time with some guidance ♥
I was waiting for a full version cuz I couldn't keep up with the monthly subscription. Seeing all this student work inspires me to get it even more. I know what I'll be doing this summer.
This is amazing and makes me really want to join your boot camp. However I have literally only only just started drawing so my skill level is 0. When/if I get to an acceptable level I will most definitely join if it’s still avalible
i wish i could have been a part of this when it was live but i might still be able to join the bootcamp later, these peices are so good i hope i can- exited to go further in my art journey
For the price of the bootcamp I would have hoped for instructor feedback as opposed to peers feedback like how an actual school would be seeing as midterm and final term is offered.
So im actually considering buying this course, my problem is im a traditional artist (and ive only been drawing for like 2 months). Photoshop and all of that stuff is kinda intimidating to me. I don't see anywhere in his site whether or not he covers how to use this software, but im still interested. So my question is to those who have taken the course: do you need some idea on how to use photoshop prior to this course? Cause again I'd love to make digital art, it looks very clean. Also the glow up on some of these characters, mint 👌
Theres a lot of good guides on how to use specific software like Photoshop Clip studio paint etc on youtube so I wouldn't worry about it (he does cover brushes in the bootcamp)
@@littlemoon6523 thank you for replying. I figured that was the case, I was already trying to brush up on how to use the software anyway. (No pun intended lol)
Could you do a fanart fixer, where you comment on fanart that is given, and give tips on how to make it better, or is that just a bootcamp thing, or do you not do that at all?
As a an individual who has only drawn for 2 yrs traditional and recently obtained a tablet, would you still recommend me bootcamp? Or do I need to first adapt myself to digital then join? I plan to do something serious over the summer since my Tamu classes are over.
As someone who attended the bootcamp, I would still recommend taking the courses. It’s a little easier to make adjustments when you understand your art program, especially when they start covering some industry techniques but ultimately they cover the fundamentals, which can be applied to traditional art as well. Just make sure you have a proper screen protector so you don’t scratch the crap out of your new tablet. I recommend the paperlike screen protector. 🙂
The course is centered around digital so getting comfy with a tablet will help! once you purchase though you'll have lifetime access to it so you can revisit them any time! no pressure in deadlines or anything since its a work-at-your-own-pace course! 😁
I WOULD DIE FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE BOOTCAMP, I would really like to improve my digital art, but sadly there is no money at house 😅😓. But maybe one day, ...one day🤩
The only sad part is that 99% of the people who participated at the bootcamp never had any chance of winning. We all leveled up a LOT, but let's face it, from day one it was obvious that the winner were gonna be those who already had an amazing level right from the start =/
It's not like those who already had art skills got them from nowhere, they also had to practice and work a lot for it too. Plus, it's not good to compare yourself to someone who's had more time put into it or make it about a competition, it's more sustainable in the long run to find inspiration and support in a community and to view your art journey as something valuable in and of itself outside of external rewards.
@@heyryanisonx3141 I mean... It litterally was a competition since there was a prize at the end..... And yeah I know they put time and effort into it before the bootcamp, but it doesn't change anything in the end. These prizes were unattainable for the vast vast majority simply because at the starting point there already was too much of a difference.
