Excellent Trad Band. I really like Greg's singing, especially "Any Old Time"! I have been playing trambone for 50 years in jazz bands . I also like Erica's singing. You guys are awesome!
There are literally hundreds of Tuba Skinny vids on UA-cam, all good to great because the band is that good.. What is so unusual about this one is the professionalism of the film and audio crew, plus excellent editing. A sophisticated capture of TS just isn't possible in most of the venues they play. Alice Glick, whoever you are, thank you!
This is the happiest music I've heard for a long time. Listening to classics I often thought I'd like to meet Rossini in the hereafter, but this stuff keeps me smiling all day. Shaye Cohn, who could almost carry it herself, being expert on too many instruments lets everyone have their cameos. I love the way she taps and syncs the entire group into action.
I have lived and breathed New Orleans Jazz since the 1950 . This band makes the hairs on my neck stand up as did Colyer. Have seen them in N.O. A few times. They are just fantastic. Thank you.Roger Dobbing
Deep Bayou Moan is one of the most hauntingly beautiful tunes I have ever heard. I love the way it captures the stillness of the bayou, cypress shade, Spanish Moss as well as the almost imperceptible movement of the water and the breath of breeze. It is a masterpiece!

Whoever was the sound engineer for this performance did an amazing job. He/she is not credited here, but it is the best, cleanest sound of any of Tuba Skinny's live performance's I have heard online. The brilliance of their interpretations really shines thru. Best to all the band, and kudos to whomever did the sound.

Got the major face ache from grinning ear to ear 'specially listening to Loose Like That! I play this pretty much every day for my 20 mth old granddaughter...she is sooo happy when she's listening to Tuba Skinny!!
X-75 Hurricane that is so funny that you said that. I have a 3 month old grand daughter that calms down from crying when I put TS on. I played T-bone for over twenty years I am now 66 and really enjoy these guys, as does my granddaughter.
Hey Joe! I reckon it's because the music is 'happy' that the little ones engage with it...it's hard to be sad/angry when your feet want to dance! Our grandie was 3 months old when she came in to our custody, that's when she first heard TS, same age as your little one...other bands Evie particularly enjoys are Opal Ocean, Steve'n' Seagulls, Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, Abby the Spoon Lady and Dead South....to name a few! Thank goodness for YT and the gift of music...
I wonder if that cornet once belonged to someone famous. The silver finish is about shot, but I wouldn't want to re-finish it and possibly spoil it's character.
