For those who enjoy a challenge:
At what point does Haruka quote from 'Way Down Yonder in New Orleans'?
Thank you for all the names of the tunes.
Best wishes and Happy New Year as soon.
Much health and happiness to you.
... and thank you for identifying tunes on several Tuba Skinny videos, Dave. I reciprocate your good wishes.
@@PopsCoffee I will post the answer to your challenge shortly.
just before the 11-minute mark.
@@Kiddman32 I thought you'd never get it.
The front line is obvious and well spoken for. However the rhythm section is more to this than you might think. The bass playing is monumental - so is the guitar and washboard. Well done girls!
Ladies and Gentlemen, you've just been entertained by 5 of the most talented ladies in New Orleans. Merry Christmas to you all and Happy Birthday Haruka. I believe you could give Tommy Dorsey a run for his money on the trombone.
Couldn’t agree more
Good to see Dizzy joining in the singing, as she used to do with Yes Ma'am often. Haruka great on trombone in Heeby Jeebies - I liked their version - and even more in Kid Ory's Creole trombone. Great to see them flourishing!
Just one tune and I'm in luv. 🙂 I believe this group could bring world peace. 🥰
Sacrées musiciennes!!!!!💪 Très bonnes instrumentistes (et qui savent aussi chanter!!)! , super orchestre!! 👏👏👏👏
wonderful, a christmas surprise, especially the song "when we were young Maggie". Thanks for posting it.
My admiration. That's the real America.
Gracias por compartir desde España.
Just Glorious. What a great set
This band makes both my ears and my eyes very happy :)
Marvelous .
Thank you for filming and sharing here with us.
Best wishes Dave from Berlin Germany 👋
I’ve listened to this set so many things over the last week. It is absolutely joyous. What an amazing set of artists who clearly love the music and play with such heart and skill. We are blessed to get to watch and listen yo them.
Oh wow. That was amazing. Just brilliant.
To quote Bryan---What a show What a show
Have to agree even if I have to say so myself.
What a joy to see them back again at the venue where they first appeared shortly after Shaye brought them together back in 2016 but sadly without Chloe. Chloe has been absent at several concerts and I often wondered why the ladies never resort to a stand-in. Only once to my knowledge when Julie was absent have they done this; maybe you can’t do without a bass. (And I missed Julie on that occasion too) Perhaps there’s some inherent loyalty towards Chloe. Anyway, love you all and I can’t get enough of you.
Colin, I know nothing about bands and the music business. But these girls have been together a while now with only the one change that I know of (Haruka replacing Shaye). I'm guessing that they're a tight bunch personally, as well as musically, and that the loyalty you mention is important to them. As an aside, I'm wondering if Marla identifies more strongly with them now than she does with the Shotgun Band, who I haven't seen much of lately.
For me - Julie is the eye catcher and will always be ...
greeting from argentina ladys!
I met you back in 2017 and your music fascinated me!
Brilliant all so good ... Great
delight .. each one
Marla got a new horn!😀
They've got it going on
As a seasoned jazz pro, Brian improvised just a little on his standard farewell speech.
Just kidding you, Brian, keep up the good work.
Best jazz band currently in Nar'Lans!!!!!!! Wish Chloe Feoranzo was able to visit!!!!
Simply,Talented!! Let's enjoy thanks Alice, greeting from Argentina ( down here) on the globe ( I miss Chloe)

Eh BenEzzer..
Thanks, since you didn't mention it, I'll note that apparently the show was on October 15th, Haruka's birthday.
Loved that mix on "Maggie Blues" the way Haruka and Molly kept the tune going. Reminded me of how these women played when they were youngvand gay,
Molly is perfekt!!!
Ohne Übertreibung, Ihr seid meine Rettung,.....! Thank, s,,.

I think you guys are there. Keep it up. My fav. band is TOP.

E S P E T A C U L AR !
Unexpected pearl from New Orlean!! Excellent!! It seems to me that Lady Washboard performs sometimes with the Tuba Skinny...am I right?
Zusammenhalt,....!!!!!!!!@*******thanks....

Every girl ot this band is THE PEARL!
Marla's cheecks are the opposite of the puffed up one's Dizzy Gillespie had, but she plays great.
Brian, you could have known Haruka's name beforehand. The rest of the civilised world does.

Cool. But Chloe is missing.
😢
Chloe doesn’t make all the gigs-she doesn’t live in New Orleans as the rest do. Kind of like Erika with Tuba Skinny.
Still no Chloe but at least the sound quality is good.
Irchyje ne er werchele ,bliebts blouse zsusamme , wisst e schoun wenn aolle ik meiijnne,.....
Well done ladies. The only improvement I can suggest is to drop the key down a couple of steps for the tune, "When You and I Were Young, Maggie" to better match the singer's voice range.
Ditd ich die üisse s küüsse issy jea ...
Hihohihihich00...
Phrch Schund kommentierte ,allgemeines ,es,..
Trompete ist sehr, sehr schwach...sie muss noch viel mehr üben...dafür vocal ist okay
