Seems like a lot of barbers have bad habits when it comes to beard trims best way to trim a beard is where it naturally sits so that way the beard holds better shape for longer in my opinion
It pays to remember he has to live with the beard, and routine trimming is necessary, removing some of the bulk from underneath gives better movement when wearing a collar etc. Dave's beard is extremely hard to cut, it is basically the same texture, porosity and elasticity as head hair. Its very very unique and grows extremely quick
@@davebanks7406 I just didn't think the trim at this stage was necessary and didn't look better than what he started out with. He basically had the same length, so it wasn't a collar issue. I just see so many guys with scrappy, thin beards who would give their eye teeth to have a beard like that, who would live with a little collar problem to have that stunning of a beard.
Always jealous of these straight beards lol My chin curls under at the moment at 3 months so it looks like my neck has nice growth while I trim just the chin lol Can’t wait for a few more months and hopefully its long enough to where it won’t curl under
10:26 he's going to regret that. it turns a 'viking' beard into a manicured 'triangle' shape. You almost have to take the beard off and start again to get that growth back.
Honestly, it grows out so fast - it was kinda pulled much straighter than it is normally when it was cut, but once washed and dried it looks much more natural again
That is one of most coolest, silkiest, milkiest, radiant beards of all times. You might actually be from "Medieval Times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I love the barber man he is always damn good! Wish he was here in chicago to do this! Though I won't lie I still like the beard beforehand it might be my preferrence but the beard lost alot of weight from the bottom of the neck and it feels more protruded. NOT saying the barber did anything wrong or the client did something wrong they both loved it and thats what counts but I would like it if it was squared with more weight underneath and sides with a tight fade for the haircut (love the cut also)! Thanks again for the awesome video BeardBrand!
I have a dark red beard. It's hard to get that thick mustache look with it and it's been growing for almost 2 months now. Hopefully it fills in like this lads.
Any advice on how to get a relatively longer back and sides type cut? I typically ask for a little longer than a fingers length on the sides and about an inch and a half on top, but it seems like most stylists interpret this to be a 3 on the sides. Which is just too short for me. Should I ask for a longer clipper guard? Like a six? Or just scissors? I know how I like my hair when it gets there, but it seems like I can't ever get a barber to cut it that way...
From what you're talking about in terms of length, you may actually want to overestimate on how much a clipper guard will take off. So, go even higher than a 6 to be safe, start with an 8, see where that gets you, and then go from there. Your barber can always cut more hair, they can't put it back though. - Jack
This is the beard all men want, I feel jealous
Me too :'(
Me too mate but I have black hair so it cant be.

Hi.
Dave G 😎
Dave Squared!
Wish I had his beard. 😂
Not every day you get a haircut by Ricky Gervais
Seems like a lot of barbers have bad habits when it comes to beard trims best way to trim a beard is where it naturally sits so that way the beard holds better shape for longer in my opinion
When does a beard naturally sit? After a shower once you've washed your beard and it's dry?
From thick to thin beard. Looked better before to me.
More like a Ps2 graphics beard 😂
Mate it looks awesome before and after
Personally I think shape > volume. If you have the thickness, you can really neaten it up so it looks super aesthetic.
I don’t know, I would have left the beard as it was before.
He also.
His beard is so awesome.
That is probably one of the best beards I have ever seen… Especially the mustache however I have to admit I liked it better before.
Awesome beard and mustache! Personally wouldn't have trimmed it at all. Just needed beard balm. BUT.....After pic looks good too.
You cant grow another man's beard..Rock with what you have🤝 no matter wat short, patchy or curly,a beard is a beard🥰
Wow...I thought the beard was perfection and looked better before the trim.
Swear down I thought the same

Ueap it is
Yes
Stunning beard. If I had his growth I would never shave, not even trim the mostache. Just let it flow forever.
Majestic ass beard. Damn.
He has a natural, great looking beard, but with a trim made it stand out even more.❤
damn! glorious beard!
Always jealous of these straight beards lol

I am 25 years old and i cannot grow a beard, but man beards are awesome lol One day i will be majestic as this man in this video.
One of the best videos y’all have posted barber wise. Love it.
Dave looked like a sweetheart in the beginning 🤣
How could someone possible dislike this video???
This is the best beard I've seen to date
how's his beard so straight? does it just grow like that? perfecf shape 10/10 hands down
David Millis just grows like that man, lucky with my genes I guess!
@@daveclee2325 your a viking
Beards like this are usually genetic.
No he’s Anglo Saxon warrior
"I bet you eat this m8" hahah. I know the pain of that all too well, but if you want a nice burly stach you have to let it grow!
Don’t you dare touch that mustache!! 😂
Ray Allen honestly it’s such a ball ache trying to get it ‘right’
Top bloke dave! At the absolute top of his trade, it was a pleasure to meet you mate hopefully see you again soon in brum!

Vikings beard is gorgeous and badass
How long does a beard like that take, from clean shave to how it was at the start? Six months?
Foarte frumos! Felicitări 💓💓👍👍🤗🤗

Calisthenics Amine damn foreigners.
Finally an example to show the difficulty with the inner beard hair near the throat area - it's the hardest part to keep alligned when I do my cut

Garth Leadon right 😏 I’m just a lucky guy really!
@@daveclee2325 A beard like yours shouldn't be cut or trimmed.
Pascal Brander Lund you gotta trim it to keep it in shape though, it would be awful if I never cut it
How do you choose which beard style is best for you?
why do beards always look better before the cut?
Some people like a completely natural look others like with more lines in it
Because they shouldnt be cut.
@Evo Shift yours is stupid as well^^ its a matter of what you like and what you dont
@Evo Shift I don't know if u are blind but that beard looked way much more better before the cut.
that's one straight beard
That beard looks bulletproof xD
It's definitely dense.

The peaky blinders pictures. 👌👌👌👌🔥🔥🔥
✌️Hand painted in oil, we sell them for a local artist. Very reasonably priced as well
Amazing Result.
His beard is literally perfect before the trim
Epic beard and moustache!
A very happy berbershop
So jealous of his beard
A lot of men forgetting that beards are meant to be liked by the owner not by commenters on UA-cam.
Hi, can you recommend a good barbershop in New York for a viking style beard and haircut ?
Woah that texture in the beard
How can one get a beard so straight and smooth looking. Mine has more of an armpit texture
It's kinda cool listening to the barber humming at 1:09
Yeaaaahhhh mate that’s a cracking beardo there 👌🏼
My beard is very similar to this one, I agree I don't think the trim was done very well

Dave, your beard is magnificent! You're v lucky
The pre-styled beard looking nicer. Just needed cleaning up of the neckline. Very nice beard.
That beard is epic 👌🏻
His beard is smoother than my hair
Great cut dave
That beard makes him look...SO FINE!
I have the issue with the flip on one side of my beard.. Not so much when it has been growing for a while
Getting a viking beard in a peaky blinders area, sweet
Some fuckin beard dude ! Fair play to ya
11:08 when the barber goes postal...BEWARE!
he already has beard like a warlord
Beard perfection 🔥
Great job. I'd trust you with my beard. The last guy I went to destroyed my beard. Cut it way to short. Now I'm trying to grow it out again.
Finding the perfect barber for your beard is tough, trust us.

@@Beardbrand Thanks Jack! I'll give it a shot. Although it does seem like most barbers are reluctant to work with clipper guards that long.
Why do you use sea salt on beard before training?
Bless that beard I envy it lol very cool sadly mine has more patches then an Afghan road post bush presidency

Great beard! And with the big mustache! Awesome 💪
Great beard cut you should do a video of all the beard styles for 2019 ... and how some s coloured
Very well done
Looks sweet before and after but if a beard already looks pretty tame it should just be left alone
Great beard
The Clash!!!
What’s he really doing other than just dabbing haphazardly at that beard with the clippers? Not even using a comb...
Great genetics, i hope your children looks like you.
never let that gifted beard by Odin vanish in time, bud.
Dudes, they have mugs and steins with stache guards for drinking. check out Ebay or google them. I see lots of "your fathers mustache" on ebay.
