    I have been wanting to create planner stickers for years, I’m serious, I’m talking maybe 5 years. I’ve watched countless, seriously hundreds of videos on this subject. It has been an overwhelming journey and decided it was just too much…..until today! I found your video and it has inspired me and motivated me to do it! Your video is easy to listen to and easy to watch, it’s very relaxing while others gave me anxiety (and I don’t suffer from anxiety!) Your method is easy, yet thorough. I have been using Silhouette Studio for close to 10 years and thought I knew everything about it. I was wrong and this video showed me so many surprises! I wish I could hug you! Thank you for this video, I’m serious, THANK YOU! Off to make stickers and no one can stop me!

    thank you for a wonderful video. Do you know why my offset red color is showing up as 2-3 different shades of red in the send panel? When I go to cut, it'll cut completely wrong. I have the business edition. I can't find an answer to this. I've tried to change the cut line offset red color to just one shade but I can't figure out if it's possible.

    • @juliedealmooney3907
      @juliedealmooney3907  3 роки тому +1

      As long as you change each of the different shades of red to your sticker cut settings, it should cut correctly. Mine does this too but I generally only have 2 shades of red. You could use the eye dropper tool to change them all to one color but it seems like a lot of work so I just make all of the red outlines use the sticker settings.

    Question for you! If you're NOT going to cut them into smaller sheets but just leave them as full sized sheets, is there any adjustments you need to make? It looks like there's still a "cut" setting for the paper itself but wasn't sure. :) Thanks

    • @juliedealmooney3907

    I do digital planning as well and am struggling with how to only make a sticker set once and be able to use it for both print and digital. If I design in silhouette studio, can I export each box or any shape as an individual PNG without the bleed area?

    • @juliedealmooney3907
      @juliedealmooney3907  3 роки тому

      I can’t think of any easy way to do this. You could print and cut and then crop each box but it would be fussy.

      @rving642 3 роки тому

      @@juliedealmooney3907 thanks for the reply. Do you think people do this in the opposite way... meaning creating the PNGs first and then importing each to silhouette studio?

    • @juliedealmooney3907
      @juliedealmooney3907  3 роки тому

      @@rving642 Yes, you can definitely create the png file and import into Silhouette Studio. I used to create all of my stickers in Adobe Illustrator and then save them as a png and import into Silhouette Studio. I personally like designing in Illustrator better because I’ve been using it longer but both ways have pluses and minuses. It’s just clunky if you want to save them with and without bleed.

    • @rving642
      @rving642 3 роки тому

      @@juliedealmooney3907 do you add bleed in illustrator? I like to use affinity designer but have never added bleed in that program before. I often see files without bleed like free stickers online and people seem to be able to print them just fine. Have you tried printing without bleed?

    • @juliedealmooney3907
      @juliedealmooney3907  3 роки тому

      @@rving642 I was a graphic designer for 20+ years so it goes against all that I am to not add bleed. You can do it, but if your cuts are the least bit off, it will show more. Alternately, you could create them without bleed, import them and cut your stickers with a little white border around each box.

      I use OnlineLabels.com full sheet labels with no slit on the back. I use the weatherproof matte for inkjet or the removable matte. The weatherproof matte is very smooth but it’s much pricier. It also creates this weird fruity dust when you cut the stickers that you have to wipe off before it feels smooth again. You can order samples from online labels.com to try them out before you buy.
