Love this! I've been etching for years and use a popsicle stick, spread it on over the design one time and let it sit for 10 minutes then rinse. No problems and you don't risk moving the design. 😉
Oh My Goodness! I’m so so Glad I found you 🥰 I got Cricut in 2020 and it is still in box ☹️ Once I got it Opened box and got so much anxiety I put it back in box and away in my closet. You make it so easy to use Explain everything step by step that I will be bringing my Cricut out Today 😁 Thank you so much🥰
Same! Made my first design this week following the directions - a name on a tumbler. Thanks Michael.
You have no idea!! I was just thinking about making stencils to use to decorate sugar cookies for my wedding!! I didn't know about the slicing thing! You saved me a ton of time and stress thank you 😊
Thx, Michael. You make crafting with cut files & numerous media SO accessible, love you for your generosity, creativity & excellent teaching skills.
Love the tip to add slits to the bottom of the stencil. So helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Wow!! I had seen the etch on glass, but this is absolutely SPECTACULAR!! Thanks as always for your detailed explanation...you are simply the BEST!!! 😍😍
Could you use acrylic paint or permanent markers instead of screen print ink?
Who knew Armor Etch would work on ceramic!! Trying this TODAY!!!
Right. I just thought it worked on glass and metal
This is coming right on time just got a order for 50 wine glasses to be etched.
Michael, I love that you give credit where credit is due and give people shoutouts.
I'm so excited to try this! I wanted to do some custom Dollar Tree soup mugs and this could be the best option to do so!
Agree, that was going to be my comment.
Yes! Soup mugs! I want to try this too!
you can always heat set the speedball ink in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees to make it dishwasher and hand wash safe
do you have to use a non food oven to do this?
I love this.....stencil and etch. Easy peasy. I loved when you put on the safety glasses. I work with elderly... when I put on the "getup" for covid they do not know who I am!!!
I absolutely ADORE EVERY SINGLE video that you’ve ever done! I appreciate how detailed you are through each step of your projects without getting bogged down. Your videos just have such a nice flow to them! I’m a member of your website and just love it!
Just love how easy he makes it and I wouldn't have thought to etch a porcelain mug!
me too
Great video! Just have one question -- did you wipe off the screen printing ink right away after applying? Thanks for expanding my horizons on what I can do with Armor Etch.
I need to know this too! How long was the ink on for please???
This is a great tutorial; I've working on etching mugs & this is helping me to see a much better way especially with the speedball ink.
Oh my Goodness, I can't get over how much I am loving the missing
hat!
Dude! You are the bomb! I found you yesterday completely by accident. Best 10 minutes of my day! Thanks so much!
Another tip: I use nail scissors to snip small bumps that you may be afraid you didn't smooth down enough, then re-smooth them down. I haven't has any issues since I started doing that!
Wow that came out great! FYI you look good in the glasses 🤓
This is great!!! Opens a whole new world (in my best Jasmine singing voice) of possibilities!!!! ❤❤❤
Now I've got to gather up all the supplies and make some new coffee mugs & glasses !!!
Thank's Michael you're video was so easy to follow you are a great teacher
I am new to your channel as well as to crafting with my Cricut Maker 3. I just want to say thank you for all your videos. I am learning so much from watching your videos, your detailed explanations, and the tips you provide. Keep them coming.....
I use a similar method but keep the stencil on after rinsing off the etching cream. Then i can airbrush colour shift on to it and remove stencil. Bake in a low oven 24 hrs later and that can go through the dishwasher too.
What kind of Speedball screen printing ink did you use...on Amazon there is for fabric and acrylic? Thanks.😀
I'm wondering the same thing and also wondering if it will wash off or if it's permanent
Thank you again for another great video.... and you looked handsome wearing your safety glasses.
I had not thought of using etching cream on ceramic mugs. I am so excited to try this!
i got to say you are the easiest to watch and pick up from im in the uk but you are fab
YES!!!! I love this and you 💕 New to circuit and so happy I found you
Thank you so much! I am new to Cricut and I’m looking forward to learning more. You are a great teacher!
Thank you for all the great information you give us. Love your enthusiasm.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for all of your detailed tutorials. You are awesome!
Wow, that's so amazing and sounds so easy to do. I love your videos.
I really enjoy your videos and always learn something valuable. Thank you!!!
This was a totally awesome video, so informative easy to follow… Thank you Mr. Crafty Pants
Hello,, do you have a video not just explaining the difference between each cutting blade but also witch ones work best for detailed designs on Vinyl, please let me know thanks
i like this idea. i learnt when doing glasses to put a thick layer of cream on, leave it for 5 min or so then move it around a bit more and let it rest. u can scrape the cream off and put it back into the bottle. it leaves a nice even looking etch and its difficult to see a good sand blasted image to the cream
I can’t locate the ink link in the description. Can you tell us what type of ink it is from speedball? Acrylic or fabric ink?
I just found you and I love your videos.
In two videos I’ve learned some awesome tips. Ty!!!
I'm new to the Cricut world and have a Glowforge as well. Your videos are fantastic! You have a new friend.
I'm excited! I've never etched a mug!
Can’t wait to get into etching! TY Michael (and Morgan)
I cannot wait to try this! I has just ordered some etch cream! The speedball tip is the bomb! Thx!
Omg no hat!!! I love it
Bought the same mug to etch. Perfect timing for this video
I’m so glad I found you. I wanted to etch on ceramic and didn’t know what to do different from etching on glass. My cups turned out better than I expected. Being cheap instead of using parchment paper I use the sheet that comes off the transfer sheet. Thank you.
Loved this!! Thank you Michael!!!
So. Doing. This. Love it!!!! Thanks, Michael!
I love how you keep saying Armour "All" LOL Your so funny.
What about using the silver rub and buff?
Going to try this one. Thanks Michael
This was amazing.....thank you. I tried it and I am in love!!!!
Thank you! By the way you look so much handsome without your cap on!!!
Looking forward to it
Where did you get the speedball screen printing ink? I saw some on Amazon but it said for fabric?
I love your videos.. I learn a lot
I love your hair!
OMG! I definitely have to attempt this today.
The Dollar trees in my area, which there are five that I go to, are still 1.00. I am in Oklahoma just outside of Oklahoma City. Been stocking up on stuff for sure!!
Thank you so much! I had this idea a couple of weeks ago before I bought the ArmorEtch butI couldn't find any answers as to whether it would work. You just granted a wish! 🌟 x
Hi love your videos . I tried this but I have the speed ball screen printing ink but there are 2 different kinds I found . Which one did you use . I tried both kinds and color didn't stay on the etching
I was wondering if you can add color to the etch? I love your tutorials!
Thank you!
He did that with the speedball screen printing ink
Omg Mr. Crafty Pants is the best! I totally love how this coffee cup was made! I have cups that have nothing and I do have all the tools to make it! Now I will just need to get the “Speedball Screen Printing ink”. To use on top. By the way will the speedball screen printing ink be permanent?
Thanks for all of the great tips. This is on my to do list for the week!
Thank you for these videos! ❤️🔥
Will u put some tips with using porcelane paint and hbaking an image on the glass. Im trying to get nicer results with using a stencil to paint an image on the glass
I’m so glad I got to see this it was great
This is really Fantastic!!!!
Since screen printing ink needs to be heat set, do you think using the small easy press would help it be more permanent? Or maybe putting it in the oven on low for a bit?
I was wondering the same thing.
Some screen print ink requires heat to cure, but some from speedball just needs to be air dried to cure.
Love the goggles. Makes you look like Dan Levy. Hope that doesn't offend. :-) Great project, can't wait to try this one
Thank Michael I’m going to try this❤️
I think this would be a good way to use up scrap vinyl.
Great tutorial as always
I just did this with class so curious to see how it does on mugs
can you use the screen printing ink technique on etched glass as well?
was wondering the same thing
I am trying this today…will keep you posted. I had made a picture frame for my mom and the etching is a bit hard to see unless I put black paper behind it.
Okay, tried and the answer is No😢. But, I did find on another site that sells another brand of screen printing ink. They found, if you mix 50/50 screen printing ink and acrylic paint together use instead of etching cream then will adhere to glass. Will try that next time😜
143 vinyl is the best. Especially when it’s 2.85 a roll
Just subed bcz your video are so detailed and helpful never done etching but I’m going to try it now lol
In peace and respect; Michael in glasses = Daddy Crafty Pants
MICHAEL, HAVE YOU TRIED ADDING COLOR TO YOUR ETCHING? IF YOU USE A WHITE CERAMIC MUG, CAN YOU THEN USE ALCOHOL INKS TO COLORIZE IT?
Can you yell me where to find the description box?
I guessing you're looking for where to find the links where you can find the materials that Michael used in the vlog. You can find that below the video window just below Michaels picture showing his number of subscribers. Click on the words that say SHOW MORE. That will open up and show you the information you are looking for.
I hope that is helpful. Again, sorry for the delay.
@@mildredpepe552 it doesn't show the link to Speedball printing Ink...also is it the one for fabric or Acrylic and is this permanent ink?
What a great idea!
How cool is this project. Super cool file . TFS. From a New Aussie sub.
Awesome Brilliant 👏
I'm anxious to learn this one 😊
Is it ( fabric) speedball screen printing ink?
Great video! Will have to try this !
So there are different times for different surfaces when using this cream? Because I saw for wine glasses, it only took 3 minutes of consistently rubbing it in with your pain brush.
Super not sure video as usual! So helpful
Where is the link for the speed ball ink stuff?
Nice job
Thank you!
How long do you leave the speedball screen print ink on the mug before you wipe it off?
i never knew you could etch on a color mug
lovee you michael
Awesome! Can you use rub n buff to add color after? Like on glass? TIA
I have read through all the comments and no one has verified whether it is fabric ink or acrylic. Please advise. Thanks bunches!
I believe it's acrylic. But if you go into Amazon description, each ink will tell you what they're good on.
@@xxsecretdreamerzxx why isn't Mr Crafty pants answering all the questions on this video???? many asking about the Speedball ink ect.......
😵💫
Do you use a specific screenprinting ink? Probably not the fabric one right?
Super cute 😍
Love it !
Thank you so much you the
best
