    Gonna sound sappy but I miss when I was younger and just had the game's music playing and messed around my room with toys, cleaning it, etc. I used to be able to walk into the living room where my mom was and say hi, or see what she was doing. I lost her in Jan 2020, I don't think I'll ever recover. Everything sets me off, especially days playing games she bought for me.

    SimCity on the SNES has one thing about it that the rest of the Sim City games lacked. Seasons, a small thing, but it made things less boring to watch.

      I have to agree that I thought SimCity 2000 was the best one, but this one is very fun, too. And I thought the seasons did make it interesting.

      I could be mistaken, but wasn't that exclusive to the SNES version? I actually never played the PC version so I forget if it's there.
      This said, I like the subtle little hint that this version of the game was developed in Japan, one that I didn't pick up on until well after my childhood - the cherry blossoms sure look nice in SimCity that time of year, don't they? ;3

      Soyo Oka composed the soundtrack for this game, the same person who composed the OST for Super Mario Kart. She's an underrated composer for Nintendo who never did audio work in Nintendo since 1995...
      I agree that it's clever how the Village theme is remixed into the other songs, alongside getting progressively more intense with each one.

    Never seen such a complete playthough!!! So much excite. SNES playlist has taken some time to get through! Those RPG's always take awhile. Again thanks for the trip down nostalgic lane. This and Civilization (hint hint) on the SNES. When sleep was not required.

    Thank you. My mother and I used to play this together. Let it play overnight to build up money. Eventually we only were making slums and couldn't figure out why. This makes sense. Also knowing you don't have to put your Port next to water is an Ah Ha moment LoL. This, Zelda, and FF1 were tops in our book!

      Hahahaha exactly my thoughts when I put it there. (It was actually because it was an awkward size zone and I didn't waste as much space putting it next to the power plant than if I had to screw up the grid for one building. It doesn't need roads or power even to make the game give you its benefits, so I keep it far away). But yeah, the chili dogs they sell during the seventh inning stretch glow in the dark! Good sales gimmick, right?

    Some disaster scenarios were based off real life ones, especially the San Francisco Earthquake.
    However, the others were only make-believe.
    And it's way past 2010 which there really wasn't a Nuclear Meltdown in Massachusetts at all.
    Come 2047 and Rio De Janiero would still be standing strong.

      It is a good thing that the controls are very simple. Seriously, if you've never played the game, trust me, it controls so much better than what it seems like with this kind of game.

    • @NintendoComplete
      @NintendoComplete  6 років тому +8

      Seriously, the pad does the job perfectly. It's the result of Nintendo themselves reprogramming the game from the ground up specifically for the SNES. The time, effort, and money they spent to do it right really paid off. I actually think the mouse would be worse for this than the streamlined pad controls.
