I think Toranaga will have the prostitutes become spies to watch over the church. By the way, the land given to the prostitutes later became "Yoshiwara" and is also known currently as the "Entertainment District Arc" in Demon Slayer.
Hiromatsu committing seppuku was not part of Toranaga’s plan at all. Hiromatsu did what he did because he realized that the other three generals in the scene were going to commit seppuku as protest to Toranaga's decision. Realizing that if he committed instead, the other three would not have to since he would already do it so Toranaga would only have to lose him instead of three valuable generals. He showed true loyalty till the end thinking that ending his life would benefit the whole situation.
I might not like Buntaro, but the Ls he takes in this series mannnn🥺 Toranaga might be a puppet master, but he's also the biggest troll🤣 I just love the way he played everyone and knew they'll just have to accept it.
Hiromatsu knew he had to do it when it went down. Because if he hadn't then the other bannermen refusing would all have to be forced to commit suicide as well for Toranagas plan to succeed.
I kinda understand why Butaro is so pissed about the situation with Blackthorne because, from the samurai ideology, Butaro is everything a badass samurai should be, but for all of his strength, he can’t conquer his wife’s heart. Then in walks a “barbarian monkey” who doesn’t even know how to hold a fucking sword and wins her kindness and affection. He just can’t comprehend it from his worldview
To the extend of my limited knowledge about Japanese, "Gozarimasuru" which is repeated constantly is more or less an archaic and respectful form of the verb "to be". In Japanese grammar, the verb usually goes at the end of the sentence that's why you hear it constantly as the last word. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
The -masu form is one of the gramatical forms in Japanese language. It's basically a suffix added at the end of the verb like mimasu (see), benkiyoushimasu (learn / study), hanashimasu (speak) and so on. Sometimes "u" at the end can be silent. "cha" means black tea. Matcha means literally "green tea"
@@nyla_n123 That whole event was a test from Toranaga to see if she wouldn't anyway. He was testing to see if she would remain loyal to her duties to him over what he saw as a detracting false romance with John. He was never sending her to go so they could have alone time, he was testing her and she knew it, which is why she left. If she had stayed then he couldn't rely on her not to pick him over duty in the future; which means she would make for a poor agent for things he needed her to do as we later see. Its also why Toranaga was so frustrated that after all that she still asked him to allow her to end her suffering, because he thought he had already given her enough reason to drop that line of thinking in giving her a purpose to fulfill her duties to him and finish what her father started. It was never meant to be, because it wasn't Toranaga's fate :p
Please watch HBO's The Wire. Its the greatest television that will ever be made. Its a hardcore fucking show. It DOES NOT pull any punches on any subject. Its the greatest document and commentary on drug dealing gang culture, police culture, the working class, the city hall politics, and journalistic sensationalism. If The Sopranos is psychology than The Wire is sociology
"once loyalty beings it does not have an end. otherwise it would not be loyalty" that's a great line

17:25 Toaraga really did them dirty with this one. The courtesans deserved better neighbors. 😀
Oh he just guaranteed they have a constant customer base.

Well. So maybe he didnt know for sure. But he was banking on it being the case. That's why he made it especially about himself and Toranagas.
It was also to sell the ruse that Toranaga was ready to surrender.
Buntaro catching MASSIVE Ls left and right
All deserved
Bro I love this show so much

What happened to the boys?
Hiromatsu sacrificed himself believing Toranaga was indeed surrendering and giving up. He did it to avoid anyone else sacrificing themselves.
