Tips for health/AG inspections. Always, always, always keep your food truck/trailer clean. Keep bleach rags handy to clean up any messes. Set aside at least part of a day every week to power clean from ceiling to floor. Watch your Temps, for both heated and refrigerated foods. Know your food, people may have allergies to certain products, and an inspector may ask. When inspectors or the customer sees a clean food joint, it really helps.
Hey just wanted to say thank you for passing this knowledge. I’m starting a BBQ food truck in my area and as I’m starting to gain momentum with everything ur videos keep popping up!
Very good info here. I’d recommend reviewing your info and editing it a bit. You can probably cut this down by a 1/3 without losing any of your bullet points. Thank for sharing.
Can i build out my food truck myself and then have the city to inspect? I am confused about doing my own electrical and ,do i have to have electrical inspected before covering with panels or can i finish everything and then contact the city? Whats steps should i take first as a diyer ? Thanks
This would depend on your finance/interest. You can get into a prepackaged food cart more inexpensively than a full blown food production truck. It also would depend on the needs/wants of your area.
It can be challenging but once you have the business permits and licenses from those areas you all set and there are hundreds of events in those areas!
Would it be the same process if you wanted to do pop-ups with your smoker and not use a truck or trailer? I have a 500 gallon smoker and I'm trying to serve up some bbq at some of the brewery's in our town. Thanks. Joe
Hi, thank you for the video by the way. I was wondering what is a good website to register a food truck business. I am in the process of opening a food truck and I need help, starting from registering.
hello depends are the state your in. Go to your cty or county business development office say your in Miami florida type this into google and find the businessdevelopment office and see what is required. Every city and state are different this will be the fastest way to check.
Also thank you very much this has been helpful working on learning about this business and what all needs ta be done to make it happen. My question started thru bbq truck and now wondering as one of you other videos was talking about propane but what about charcoal is a charcoal bbq truck allowed because that would be nifty ?!
I give you some basics for beginners of Food Truck Start ups! Where are you in your process for your Food truck

Thank you this info was very helpful, what would you recommended for first time food vendor, a food truck or a food trailer? thanks!

Can’t believe they won’t allow you to park your food truck at home? Unbelievable. “Designated commissary kitchen”? Talk about control freaks.
Very helpful to me
What sort of driving license should we have for having a food truck or food trailer or anything?😊
It seems like having a traveling food truck is near impossible. Each county has it's own licensure requirements?
It can be challenging but once you have the business permits and licenses from those areas you all set and there are hundreds of events in those areas!
Can this trucks be rented or are we supposed to have our own trucks
Awesome
Gas, Propane or both, no fryers
