- How to Metal Scream is one thing, but once you become comfortable with your vocals, you'll want to add new tricks to your voice. This lesson is based on 5 Fry Scream techniques that I use in just about every one of my metal, deathcore or hardcore songs. For those looking to increase your vocal range, or add some interest to your music. Recorded in Ableton Live 11 using a Shure SM7B, GGD Invasion Drums and STL Tonality Will Putney guitars.

Thanks for watching. Let me know your favourite technique down below.
I can't even properly scream yet, but seeing this content is super inspiring and interesting. You're at the top of your game man!
Thank you so much! It takes a lot of work so I’m glad it helps others
you're legit helping me so much with my vocals, I've never been so determined to nail harshes until now 🙏 cheers !!
That means so much to me. Thanks so much for checking out the videos. Are there any other aspects I could help you out with when it comes to vocals?
This is so great!! Thanks as always Brendon :D
Hey thanks for checking it out! Which one did you like the most ?
It is pretty cool that you have taken a single scream style and used it in many diff ways. Good job!!
Thanks so much my man! It's incredible what options there are if you just try something out of your ordinary box
This.. this is gold. Thank you
No problem at all thanks for watching!
Which one(s) stood out to you the most?
This is awesome bro, Im more or a clean vocalist but im having problems swapping between screams and clean singing during a live performance
Oh sick! Yeah I honestly can’t imagine having to swap between the 2. Or sing live lmao I’m terrible at singling
3:01 the half life 2 scream
That’s awesome. Definitely something cool in that mid range of voice to scream. Thanks for checking it out!
I take it you do vocals as well?
@@BrendonKPadjasek On my 2nd year of vocals, I mostly do hardcore style screams but I'm really trying to get a good fry scream now
@BaldTorment that’s amazing. Like you do the hardcore kind of yell rather than scream?
All of them.🤘🇨🇦
Haha thanks my friend!
the uvula explanation was really helpful
I’m pumped to hear that. I learned that from my old singing instructor and tried it out with screaming and it helped avoid damage a lot
Thanks for watching! Which of those techniques did you like the most ?
@@BrendonKPadjasek i'm a sucker for pitch screaming so those ones for sure haha
@Zink971 haha hell yeah. I have a whole video where I go into my whole pitch screaming technique if you’re interested. It’s in the vocals playlist
after that ramp up im sure you're the nutrigrain guy. no doubt.
HAHAHAHAHA that’s amazing
Eventually that 2.01k will be 201k , keep going bruh
I appreciate that a lot my friend ! Thanks for watching.
Are you a vocalist as well?
@@BrendonKPadjasek not really but I guess I do backing vocals. Mostly a guitarist
@metalheadblues that’s exactly how I started out too
Great channel. Awesome content! Just subscribed. Just gotta say though that the the uvula causing distortion is a myth. Fry screams are produced by your vocal cords directly. You can also add some distortion from your soft palate but that's not the same thing.
Thanks so much! I don’t believe I said the distortion was coming from the uvula, I just control my pitch a lot with that/ timbre of voice
Thanks for checking it out. Also, feel free to leave any information that could help others in the comments! Everyone has their own techniques and it’s awesome to hear them. Thanks!
Brendon do you have any songs that sound like this were the vocals are very catchy and easy to memorize? So i can practice along to songs, makes it more fun :)
Hmm I’m not sure. Hopefully some of the songs off Structures None of the Above would work. Probably gone/dead is the closest
Thanks so much!
Where can I listen this song? It's very nice.
Thank you so much for checking it out! Unfortunately I don’t have the whole song recorded, I just used it as an example for writing. Maybe I’ll finish it soon if enough people are interested.
Are you a vocalist as well?
@@BrendonKPadjasek I am guitarist. But me and a vocalist of my band respect you.Thank you always for the great videos!
@user-bw3kf3ul6c I appreciate that so much. Thanks for watching and if you have any struggles with instruments or vocals let me know and I’ll make a video on it!
your screams remind me a LOT of brendan murphy
That’s sick. I love his vocals. I guess we do similar styles of screaming
what song are you singing here?
