The biggest let down of this light is Olight’s battery choice. It’s literally not used by any other product Olight offers. I personally think making the light slightly longer and equipping it with their 18650 would yield significantly better battery life, but also prevent having to stockpile a unique battery specifically for this product.
@@DoctorJones841 You’re not wrong; however, the new offering usually has to offer substantial benefits to usurp the status quo. Same thing happens all the time in firearms. New caliber is introduced to fill a niche and doesn’t pick up traction. I just don’t feel the slightly smaller size justifies its mA/hour rating compared to Olight’s 18650. It is not for me at this point, especially considering I’m already invested in spare batteries of a different form-factor. Perhaps the ratings will improve in time and there will be more compelling products released to entice me. For now, it is still a hard pass. If it works for you though, then have at it.

I'd like to encourage all preppers to forage for medicinal herbs, berries, and nuts. I foraged last week, and I've been sun drying my haul since in the conservatory. I got wild fennel, wild mint, elderflower, lime tree (liden) flowers, rose petals, and horsetail. I'll make rosewater, elderflower cordial, and herbal teas. I'll be drying nettles and comfrey this week too. My sunchokes are super turbo charged right now, I'm hoping for a very large harvest. I'll be harvesting redcurrants, blackberries and blueberries too. Plant a small garden, or get a few herb pots,or at least grow mung beans, cress and mustard.
Olight May make a good product but their shipping department lacks much to be desired. Ordered mine 4 days ago and still haven’t received a shipping notification. Not impressed.
I think this flashlight will be underrated by many because it's only 1000 humans yet S1r baton 2 is smaller and yet a 1000 humans. UV isn't going to be used by many as I think uv shouldn't be there as they could have made mini 2000 lumens being seeker mini as big brothers have more lumens like seeker 2 pro. I got it in sale as full price it's expensive. This flashlight deserves better lumens and longer run times. I bought it as a back up to my my seeker 2 pro which I've used for a lot durening the last few years. Mini feels nice in hand and would be great for camping and hiking. Seeker 4 mini is better than a lot of torches out there.
I’ve got an answer. When you go “wandering” at night on a camp and don’t want to disturb other campers with a huge light. Use the uv you can see with it and it lights your guylines or luminous patches so you can find your tent again and not trip over. That’s my take at least
