I bought one yesterday, before seeing this video haha I've been hesitating between UV & Laser for a while, decided to go on the website to see the discounts (didn't know yet about the new one), but then saw a bundle that had the pro, with both UV and Laser, and the i5T EOS included. Didn't think twice, bought it ! You made me discover Olight products a couple of years ago, and for that sir, I thank you a lot ! Cheers from France.
Nifty light! Love the UV mode too. I live in the desert Southwest and have been hunting scorpions to reduce the population. They fluoresce bright green under UV. I now know more about scorpions than I ever wanted to. Took out my palm trees this year and haven't seen one since. They don't nest so poison doesn't work well except to reduce their food supply. Hunting turns out to be the most effective way to get rid of them.
I’ve carried the Arkfield since it came out, and it instantly became my all-time favorite non-tactical EDC light. I upgraded to the Arkfield Pro and love it even more.
The 2 way clip is where it’s at for me! Being able to clip it to my pocket or bag is obvious but, the ability to clip it to the bill of my ball cap while I’m using it is KEY! (Especially since I only have one hand)
I have the tiny Olight iOS 3 keychain flashlight (literally still $10) and it sits next to a very small Victorinox knife on my keychain. The Olight has been beat to death, gone through a couple of washes, still just keeps going and runs on a AA battery. Best $10 I’ve spent and perfect since I hate too much weight in my pockets. This new Olight looks very impressive.
Thats awesome! I got one for my gf since shes terrible with keeping EDC in her pockets so at least this just rings onto keys or something. I am the same with my Baton 3. It has been my daily since I got it 2 years ago to replace the mini Baton 😂 . All in all keep being prepared!!
Memory mode for the arkfeld pro is a turn off when used w lock out mode. So to turn it on; hold and it goes into moonlight mode. Then continue holding for low med high. Single press to turn off. Memory in high, turn off & on it stays at high. But if the light is in lockout mode I would have to repeat and hold the power button to turn it on starting back at moonlight mode. Then continue holding for low med high. If they would of added a dbl tap from lock out mode to go directly into the last memory mode (high) would of been great. (If you dont lockout your lights, no issue) I lock out all my lights. Thanks for the review
Have had an SR2 Baton in my pocket every day since 2016 and looking to finally replace it with an OD Green Arkfeld Pro. Even warrantied it back in 2018 for a water submersion. Worked great for years ever since. Great products.
Haven't purchased any Olight products in a while, but this product caught my eye. Love the muti-functionality of this light. It feel substantial in my hands, build quality is top notch as always. I got the NW version, which only comes in black and I'm okay with that.
I like the idea of using UV instead of red light. Sometimes red light stands out in the environment with distant city, moon light etc. It may be harder to detect blue light than red one.
Love this light, but the clip is the weak point of this thing. Mine was caught on a seatbelt and stretch, now it hardly has any tension left. The screws seem to be of non standard size, at least on mine. I cannot take the clip off to reshape the thing. May try out the EDC27 if I decide I need a replacement.
A little off-topic, but at 10:40 you have an M3R Javelot on the Omino. I’ve never heard of that light and it looks exactly like the OG Warrior X. Is that like a pre-release item?
These look great! I do prefer the replaceable rechargeable batteries of the Warrior Nano & Mini 3 (having a spare charged battery to swap out is awesome). But I might have to upgrade my original Arkfeld with the Pro version.
I received my Arkfeld pro Dec 28. I do believe I received the lesser Pro flashlight. I went through the modes as you showed us but I only have 4 modes plus the strobe. 1: 1 lums, 2: 15 lums 3: 100 lums 4: I think is 420 lums. I double tap and it goes down in light power. Why is that ? I triple tap and it goes to strobe. Then when in the one of the upper 3 modes, when I hold it down, it quickly changes from from one light mode power to the next. 15 -100-420. I can stop at any one of them and again if I'm at the highest light mode and double tap to go to 1300 lums it steps down instead. What do u think ? 😢
Nice little light. A bit expensive maybe, but so is everything I like these days. Used the UV in a hotel room ... I had to change rooms! And my cats love the laser spot :-)
Hey brother, the new streamlight wedge XT is awesome! If you like the wedge you will love the XT! I love mine so much I'm buying another so I will always have it on me as an edc item. Cool review!
I have the original Gen1 Arkfeld and also the Gen1 Titanium Arkfeld. My Arkfeld is in my pocket from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed, I LOVE the light. I use the moonlight every night to make sure I don't trip over a dog in the bedroom lol I use the laser almost daily to point things out to the kids or at work. I just purchased this along with the mini, not sure if I'll use the UV, but at least its there, I got the zombie color, can't wait.
I'm in the exact same boat. I started with the Winter 3 Titanium, but now I want all three of these functions with a bigger battery. I just wish they made the Pro in titanium.
Do you use lockout mode? That's my only drawback, with the clip it would face my leg, but I've heard others say that it's a pain to use the lockout constantly.
I’ve been carrying this light since it came out and now I also have this version. I’ve carried this light every day, it does not leave my pocket till I go to bed, and it’s the second thing I pickup in the morning after my phone. I’ve never had it turn on, or maybe never noticed lol. I don’t use the lockout feature. It’s a great light.
They should make a version with just 2 white LEDs, one floody and one thrower. That would sell like hotcakes. The laser and UV are cool, but I personally don't need them so much.
From a tactical point of view the fiddly top mount button and lack of rear end switch kill it for me, unfortunately. The Surefire is still the best tactical light, but this Olight looks okay as an EDC for urban exec types. The Stiletto is recommended by Christian Craighead, by the way. (look up Obi Wan Nairobi if you don't know who he is)
One thing I hate about these Arkfeld's is that double sided clip. Reason being that if you EDC them in your front right jeans (pants) pocket, and drive a car, eventually the double sides clip will clip itself to the seat belt without you noticing it. Then when you go to take the belt off, it will bend the clip out away from the light body. This might be less of a big deal if the clips were replaceable, and you could easily remove them, then you could just replace a bent clip, or at the very least take it off and bend it back again. However they are not replaceable, and the screws that hold them in are loctited so hard you will strip the tiny heads waaay before they ever loosen (ask me how I know). Olight confirmed that they are not replaceable, and that I should not have attempted to take it off. At least they were good enough to warranty mine for a new Arkfeld UV.
They make it a triple click for turbo so you dont accidentally select turbo when you dont want it. Its hard to accidentally select it when you have to triple click to get it.
I really like Olight fl;ashlights. They are built like tanks. I have a S1Baton and it was dropped in the gravel driveway,I didn't know that at the time and was wondering where I had left it,one day I'm walking down the driveway and I found it. It had been run over multiple times by delivery truck and earth moving equipment giving it an extreme torture test that I hadn't meant to do,I activated the button and no light,my first thought was it had been damaged and became broke, but I then thought to replace the battery and try it and that's all it needed. because of that I'm sold on Olight flashlights from here on out. I have people I know who poo poo on Olight because they've been conditioned to think the other name brands are the cats meow without ever really torture testing them, but as for me I've experienced an accidental torture test and know what quality they have. I am giving serious consideration to making this my new edc light.

Olight Arkfeld Pro: max beam=102 meters, 2608 candela, cost about $100 Nitecore TUP: max beam=180 meters, 8130 candela, cost about $60 Good luck even finding beam intensity for Streamlight Wedge
Sale is going on right now with the nano, for like $104 shipped. Highly recommend. I work in waste water so the UV light just kinda makes the job funner.
@@sterlingchum You're right, its biggest joke - 4 minutes runtime with 1300 lumens and 2,5 hours charging time. And... the 100lumens setting is useless. But; the UV light is bright and OK to check banc notes...
The lumens are seriously lacking. Ultimately, though, it isn't better than what I currently carry. I wouldn't carry an additional flashlight, or one that can't replace my current flashlight carry. Where is this supposed to fit? Much as I would prefer an unround flashlight, I do not carry one, because there does not currently exist an unround flashlight worth carrying. This particular flashlight is far too compromised to make it a tolerable EDC flashlight. Across the board, it is inferior to what I carry. What particular feature do you think makes this flashligh worth its weight or price? I hope someone makes a good unround flashlight.
Don, I like your channel, but here's the thing. I know a number of EDC reviewers, and I know how much Olight incentives people to give biased reviews. Your reviews are so biased that they aren't credible. How about something negative about any of them? You frequently misrepresent the duration of Turbo mode on these lights. It usually lasts a couple of minutes and then steps down to something that is a fraction as bright - you never mention that. Why not be a bit more straight forward? You will earn more credibility and people will still buy the lights. You are giving all of the canned lines that Olight requires for comp. You can do better!
You said the o light magnetic charging is the best system. Icam interested to know why? Proprietary systems to me are the worst, especially in today times. Ol8ghts system is what keeps me from buying one. Now if it had usb c option then i would buy since lots of things use usb c and most people carry a usb c cable in their edc bag. I have a power bank in my sling with a built in usb c cable that can co er my chwrging needs for any device i have with me and also a 6 in 1 cable that can cover me if i should need a different connecfion or someone with me does. If i get stranded for some time i know i can charge my phone, tablet, earbuds, etc all because they use usb c. But with o light you better have their Proprietary cable with you or you are SOL. I feel li,e they do this on purpose to try and sell additional cables. 1 for home, 1 for the car, 1 for your edc bag, etc. They need to get with usb c. Apple finally did
What economy are you living in? These days $100 for a pocket flashlight that has a laser pointer and a UV light are a bargain. A fuckin happy meal is like $15 now.
Sorry Don, I like Olight flashlights except, this one. I carried this light for quite awhile and with criticism. It does not conform with standard feel. The on/off button. should be on the tail of the switch, as we expect in to be for weapon mounted platforms.

Probably... Haven't had a brand that has turbo and doesn't get hot.
Coolest one on turbo maxed out at like 60° i think compared to the surefire stiletto and the streamlight wedge. The nightcore got over 120° lol
Doesnt get nearly as hot as the warrior 2
Is it worth the money?
I have one and it's not gotten super hot once. Warm to the touch but never close to being painful.
The laser is advertised as class 1 0.39mw. Where are you getting class 3 5mw from?
So you're wrong, like many others running their mouths. Check their site it will show the improvement of the laser over the last model.
Class 3 is for the U.S. market. The E.U. (and I think Australia) gets the class 1 laser.
I am returning Arkfeld PRO - what shixxx runtime 4 minutes with 1300lumens, can not use this toy.
LOL, and after 4 minutes you will have to recharge 2,5 hours🤣
@@sterlingchum You're right, its biggest joke - 4 minutes runtime with 1300 lumens and 2,5 hours charging time. And... the 100lumens setting is useless. But; the UV light is bright and OK to check banc notes...
At least you got to 1300 lums, I don't think I can with the one I got.😂
The bightcore is bright... for 10 second then gets hot and shuts off and drains even faster if you keep pushing it. 🤷♂️
Just left mine on for 4 minutes on turbo and still have 3 bars of battery don't know what you guys are talking about.
I have the original Gen1 Arkfeld in Carbon Fiber. I like it way more than the round light and I have plenty of those.
Peak comedy
Apple finally did
Easy, Waterproofness. I'm a plumber and always around water So it works perfect for me. One reason I was 1 and done with surefire.
Pay over $100.00 for a pocket flashlight is insane 🙄
If you're poor, just say that.
What economy are you living in? These days $100 for a pocket flashlight that has a laser pointer and a UV light are a bargain. A fuckin happy meal is like $15 now.
EDC27 has *3000 lume
Sorry Don, I like Olight flashlights except, this one. I carried this light for quite awhile and with criticism. It does not conform with standard feel. The on/off button. should be on the tail of the switch, as we expect in to be for weapon mounted platforms.
