Finally, a review from someone who has actually kept and used this tool for a while rather than dismissed it upon opening the box. Everyone has different needs and every tool does not need to be the most capable or decked out model. Every day in my garden and yard tasks I have use for a knife, screwdrivers, scissors and even a small file to knock a burr off of things. I have little use for pliers and being able to access everything with one hand makes this seem a better choice than one of my Victorinox tools or Leatherman Wave or Wingman and while a boxy shape it is still a smaller tool. Thanks for your review

I carry a Free T4 in a belt pouch and agree with your evaluation. Though it won't fit tiny screws, the Philips bit works well on a wider range of screw sizes than I expected. I use the T4 knife blade on tasks which are ill suited for my utility knife. The scissors is my favorite. Thanks for the video.

I know lots of people claim the awl will not work as it has the small flathead instead of a point but it has worked great for me the few times I have needed one. I added a hole to my leather carhart belt and some holes in cedar garden stakes. Bored through the leather and wood quickly and cleanly. Don't be hesitant to use it.

I hunted for your video because I especially I wanted to see your opinion after a year. I own several Leatherman. So I don't carry each one every day. But I carried a little one of the juice models when I was dressed up for 20 years. It began to look like it was 20 years old. In an emergency situation I had to use some excessive force with it. And I broke a spring. I mailed it back to leatherman , they had it 48 hours and sent it back , either a brand new one or a completely refurbished one. I think it was refurbished because they don't make that model anymore and it had polishing compound under a rivet. They don't normally warranty excessive force but I think they're proud when their tools are used to urgently assist someone. And they also end up with loyal customer for life.

Thanks for taking the time to seek out my two cents on this tool! Really glad to hear that you had such a good experience with Leatherman's customer service! Good to know I can lean on that warranty should anything come up with my Free T4. Thanks again!!

This IS a good tool, and probably the most “precise” action of any LM tool I own…I have several. Rivals anything from Vic in terms of that. Good video.

Cuts braid? No wonder I was attracted to it in HD ...
    Great presentation!

Love mine. Basically feels like a robust Victorinox. EDC it with knipex mini pliers. Perfect combo

Like a robust Victorinox? You must be kidding. Leatherman is so proud of their work, they don’t even offer lifetime warranty…

Thanks to this video I bought one last week. And I love it!
Didn’t like the shiny polished pocketclip, so I put it in the fire for a while.. it is copper/ bronze now.. Yours looks a lot darker. Do you have any tips?

Hey, thanks for stopping by! Only advice i can give ya is to re heat it every so often. I had to reheat mine in order to bend the pocket clip back into shape about 5 times now. That and just carrying the thing will give you that desired patina!! Cheers!!

“It’s another beautiful day here in Washington state….” As a fellow resident - I’ll take that to mean it’s damp, overcast and the ground is saturated

My T4 has gotten stiff on deployment. Just a pocket carry. Do you oil up your t4 or loosen the screws?

I have only ever applied oil to the pivot(s).

CRC336 will protect from any rust and lubricate the joints. Clean and apply twice a year if you want your tool to last longer

If anyone loses their tweezers, toothpick or pen from any knife or multi tool, the best way to replace them is to buy a $3 AliExpress Swiss Card clone.

Next time you should have your tool with close up shot so we can see how bad or how good the tool is otherwise people think your tool is actually not used for 1 year but mislead or cheating instead ! Be careful bro !
