I've had it for few weeks and it's amazing it's replaced my favourite seeker 2 pro! It just great when holding it and turbo is so bright! I've been impressed with it's quality and I got it on sale. Other flashlight you showed at night was quite impressive too and would be a nice light to have camping and hiking! I'm not going to stop using seeker 2 pro because I'm used too it and has never failed me when I needed it. I got the white seeker 4 pro and it just looks stylish and it's not too heavy. I really enjoyed your video and and your thoughts too.
Just thought I'd mention. If you use the light in it's case it won't go into turbo mode. I thought it was broken but when I tried it out of it's case it goes to turbo mode.
I gotta say, trying to say that the lack of a pocket clip in the box is "for the best" because it interferes with the holster. You can just take the clip off. It would only be a benefit to give customers the choice between the two. It's not a huge deal that they don't include it, but don't try and spin it to be a pro of the device.
Personally, I don't feel like I was spinning anything. I've seen the Facebook group and there are a large amount of people who don't seem to be happy either way. If it's on there initially and they have to take it off, they'll just complain that it'll scratch their device. If it is one or the other, I think they made the right call. The holster gives more capability than a pocket clip. But, that's just me.
On the Olight store website, there is a horizontal holster you can pick up for it. It is currently sold out, but I imagine they would be restocking here eventually.
There is an indicator on the magnetic charger if you're using that, or if you're using USB-C, those indicators next to the switch will show the battery level.
Honestly, they did the same thing they do with every flashlight. Give it a couple hundred lumens and then call it and upgrade. When every other flashlight company is upgrading lumens by the thousands Honestly I want them to Upgrade a flashlight that I can turn on. Then say wow, this is a definite upgrade. But when you hold the one that they built before it Next to the new one you can barely tell a difference I bought the olight m2r pro warrior And that was the best flashlight that they ever made. And then they ruined it with the number three which was a downgrade turbo only to seventy five percent battery life no that's crap
While the lumen output is only an incremental upgrade, I think the big change for this light is the holster. The intelligent electronics allow for a very quick draw and use of your Seeker 4 Pro, where you would have been limited to only turning the dual on the Seeker 3 Pro.
You can skip two models and then buy one from them. If you bought seeker 3 and now this one you have over 1000 lumens more and that dial with micropreferations that show battery life & power output + that industry leading holster. But i agree with you on that they put out new models way too fast. New Warrior X 4 is 2600 lumens. X 3 was 2500, both have high mode of 300. And X 4 didnt even come with Warrior ring which was very good accessory on that light.
Last year I thought about upgrading from 2 pro to 3 pro. Had everything in cart and passed. Had 4 pro in cart earlier this year and passed. Debated upgrade again last few day and decided to do it. Would agree that unless substantial improvements person should skip releases. Can say the same about iPhones 😂
It's not just the extra 100 lumens, you obviously do not know that the Candela went up fromm 77K to 99,500 Candela. I have both the 3 and the 4 now. Can tell you that I can see how much brighter the Warrior 4 is over the 3, I mean, it is incredibly more bright to the point that is insane. Do you even own an Olight?
