That Corpse Molestation demo, as you possibly know Geoff, I rate as the best demo/first release of any band ever in my eyes. The Necrotomy demo i think i remember Shilby put that together lol. Christbait and Blooddusters demo's were amazing, infact the shit released from Melbourne from 90 to 92 was unbeaten worldwide. I think the only demo i got still is the Disembowelment one, absolutely crushing. Damaged did a demo in 1989 before TAODL, but its horrid, ill try and find it, being here in Ballarat im sure i know a few people who will have it. The Misery demo is in my top 5, and a band from Alice Springs called Sickness put out a killer demo in 91, if you have it bravo! Another great upload mate.Hails.
Cheers mate I figured you'd enjoy plenty here. Melbourne always was the best and probably still is. Would definitely be keen to hear even older Damaged
Thanks for again sharing elements of your awesome collection! I was an Impact Records regular too, from the tiny shop above electric shadows before other record stores had any metal whatsoever. Stupid me got rid of all my cassettes ages ago, (even lost my Wings of Death fridge magnet!) - Glad to see you included The Art of Destroying Life, I still listen to Damaged regularly. I put together some video clips for some of their songs on my channel. Drop me your Discogs username so I can check your full collection if you don't mind. All the best, mate!
Your collection never lets us down does it Geoff! Do you know I’ve never heard ‘Armored Angel’! Their name & their music never really made it over to the U.K. back in the day… so they’re a band that unfortunately passed me by!🤘🏻
cheers man and I definitely recommend Armoured Angel as they were bloody killer - this is their Communion demo armouredangel.bandcamp.com/album/communion
I’ve always loved buying demos and didn’t have many other options other than Aussie stuff back in the day. I do think we have always had a killer scene though
Excellent content Geoff. Been enjoying heaps of your vids of late. Have a few early Oz demos including the couple from Spectral Birth. Keep up the great work.
Traded most tapes when I upgraded to CDs. 👀 In the Nightside Eclipse Left Hand Path Deicide S/t, Legion Marduk Those of the Unlight, mistakenly printed in Pink! And too many more that I regret
haha no way I'd give up a pink Marduk tape :) I'm pretty much a hoarder so not much goes out of the collection but I have plenty of regrets of not buying things when I had the chance
you know I've never seen the tape version of the album as I got it on cd when it came out - hmm don't tempt me to track down yet another copy as I have about 3 versions on record and 2 on cd!
I love tapes, I find modern tapes are actually better quality these days, and could sound better than some vinyls - I enjoy collecting all 3 formats these days - yeah old tapes can be dodgy ! I actually don't own any demo tapes - sold em years ago as I never liked the shite paper inlays and crappy cassettes lol
there are still some hifi stores around that might - I need to do the same as my ancient Sony one plays verrrry slowwww - it sucks that they don't make new tape compenents anymore
Thumbs up just for the Internal Rot shirt
Cheers mate I just got it in the mail from the band and had to model it before I got stains all over it

Disembowelment an all-time favorite death metal album of mine I have the original album cassette but I don't have that demo "shucks" great vid
you know I've never seen the tape version of the album as I got it on cd when it came out - hmm don't tempt me to track down yet another copy as I have about 3 versions on record and 2 on cd!
Didn't expect that artwork at your place 🦘
it's a local artist and we saw them at a cafe and had to have them

I still do buy tapes and have about 20-30 that I've bought since my tape player has been on the fritz so one day I'll listen to them
Went to play a tape a little while back. Tape player won't work all of a sudden. No idea where or who could fix it these days.
there are still some hifi stores around that might - I need to do the same as my ancient Sony one plays verrrry slowwww - it sucks that they don't make new tape compenents anymore
@@mendicantmedia I'll have to look in to it.
