@@mendicantmedia Indeed! Check out these new young bands from Sweden Mutation, Impurity & Cryptorium. I will release in some month a little printed zine called Disciples on the label Jaw Breaker which will include only of new Swedish young metal bands.

will definitely check them out - I did feel a bit slack having mostly 30 year old albums on my list but hey that's what I still listen to the most

yeah they are all rippers and it was tough to cut down to only 30 bands but I didn't want the videos to go on forever - maybe I should do a 31-45 video too

it is a great album and it was hard to rank but the top 15 is pretty killer too

How is the newish Sweven album?

@@mendicantmedia My favorite album of the 2020s, easily. It takes a way a lot of the Autopsy stuff and replaces it with a more proggy feel but a real masterpiece. I interviewed Robba about it (and about the album Sweven) a few years back on my website (Machine Music)

@@wgw7259 Honestly, never listened. Anything “later and cleaner” leans towards “worse” to me, but I never listened to them.

yeah I don't know really but I generally classify grind with gory lyrics and pitchshifted vocals like Regurgitate and Last Days of Humanity as goregrind and non-shifted stuff like Hemdale and Exhumed as death grind - but then there's mincecore which sounds like goregrind but different lyrics - it's all a bit stupid really
