    I just came across your channel and videos about a week ago and I'm hooked! Hands down has to be one of the top 5 bass fishing channels out there. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and perspectives. I learn so much from all your short videos. Thank you and keep up the great work Steve. 🎣🤙🙏

      Especially a worm with a floating tail. Makes you realize how redundant the Shakey head jig is. I have a few packs to cover the necessary weights but never use them.
      The bonus presentation on lower diameter line, peg less "T" rig also works like a free rig .

    A 4” ribbed grub, 1/16 oz weight, and a size 1 ewg hook, is a deadly combo and a lot of fun on lt/med spinning gear.

    As a former walleye guy, i love finesse presentations... i did very well last year tossing a mini elastec craw texas rigged with a 1/16 bullet weight up under docks... they couldn't resist this, caught large and smallmouth both....😊

    Awesome video! The small baits and ned baits from the rage lineup work so well for me Texas rigged on a 2/0 Hayabusa straight shank and 1/16oz weight... it's weird sometimes the same bait won't work really well on a ned head and texas rigging it makes all the difference!

      That’s definitely true. I was using the 1/16th oz as well. Thanks for watching!

    Awsome Video Steve. I'm going to try those smaller plastics. I never thought to use them on a Texas rig. I have been doing well going ultra finesse lately, so this will be another rig to add to the arsenal. Thanks again Steve.

    That TRD craw just slays the smallies on the St Louis River up here in MN. Never rigged it texas style, but that seems to be a better way to do it for a rocky river.

    I absolutely love fishing smaller plastics. They catch everything from dinks to giants and can make any day on the water a whole lot of fun! Using them on a ned rig seems like a really smart idea!

      @@SteveRogersOutdoors it piles up. Start a large pegboard wall now. Trust me. You'll be saving yourself a lot of trouble down the line. Just a little bit more space is never enough, and it's a hassle every time you have to put up more pegboard. You can always put everything back against the pegboard untill you need it.
      You're welcome Steve. I hope I encouraged you even more today! 👍😁🎣🎣🎣🎣

    Do craws hibernate ? Do small craws work in winter ???

    • @SteveRogersOutdoors
      @SteveRogersOutdoors  Рік тому

      Craws don’t hibernate in the winter like a lot of creatures do. Small cranks do work in the winter - especially on sunny days when those fish pull shallow onto hard structure to warm themselves. Great questions!

    Steve, here is my problem with these small, and maybe most craws. In your video it showed them rolling and turning over. I'm not sure a Texas rigged craw is a lifelike presentation with all of that rolling over stuff. A craw on a jig, a football jig to be exact, yes.

    • @SteveRogersOutdoors
      @SteveRogersOutdoors  Рік тому

      They do roll very easy, no doubt about that. Love that football jig!

    Where do you get small craws?

    • @SteveRogersOutdoors
      @SteveRogersOutdoors  Рік тому +1

      Great question. Most often they will be categorized with the Ned baits. That one I was using was a Baby Rage Craw. I know Zoom has the Lil Critter Craw which is a nice one too.
