  • Okay, this ones for the few of you curious enough to see what my daily life is like in Jerusalem! I picked a pretty typical day, although it got off to a VERY rough start (I didn't get much sleep and was all over the place that morning, 😆). Thanks for watching! xoxo - Meorah
p.s. I noticed there's a typo at the very end (where I left out a "c" in "accept" 🤦‍♀️). I'm just going to "accept" this mistake and spare myself the extra time it would take to re-upload the video-pardon the error! 😄🧡

Do you think you would ever record davening Shacharit and maybe also Mincha and Maariv? That would be amazing - unless it's too personal. I've been trying to learn and incorporate more prayer into my life for a little while now. It's coming along, but very slowly.
Thanks again for today’s vlog. It was amazing!

this is so interesting , how people experience Israel for the first time and what to me seems "obvious " and "normal" . love the vlogs!

I've watched as many "chronicles of Aliyah" as I can find on UA-cam, which surprisingly isn't very many. Your day in the life vlog is awesome. I can live in Israel vicariously through you 😄. It's cool you live close to an Asian market, I'm vegetarian so there are things I get from the Asian market on the regular. I would definitely be looking for Mexican food - after I filled up on tons of Israeli food of course 😊. What a bummer you got harassed :(

Whenever I've been n Israel, anytime during my late teens through my middle 40’s I've had that situation with men being aggressive. Of course, it's the people themselves and not us. It has nothing to do with us, as women. But it can be annoying and sometimes even unsettling.
I lived in Europe for a while when in my 20s and a year of that was in Spain, where the men were ridiculously aggressive, especially as weather warmed and a little skin would show. But even when bundled up from head to toe during the cold season, the males would even grab you and touch. I imagine, or hope, that's changed.
I haven't experienced that when living in London or the States. It's a very different mentality.

    Hi Meorah,
I recommend the book Layers by Shira Lankin Sheps. A book of personal narratives of struggle, resilience, and growth from Jewish women that have made Aliyah. It may be helpful to you in coping with your journey. Wishing you all the best and הצלחה and ברכה!

I'm Mizhari (Yemen and Iraqi) decent, Jachun has to be one of my favourite dishes next to Shakshuka. 👌
Also I wouldn't say you came across as an ice Queen in your last video at all. Just a person who's not use to Israelis and the culture, it can be a massive culture shock. :)
Also I would personally loose the fanny/bum pack/bag. It's a big sign that screams "American tourist", just a wee slight suggestion. :)
