Cheap Lazy Vegan the starchy water is also a thickener, so be mindful about that! Your sauce might end up thicker. :)

For those who want a substitution for the cashews...white beans are great! They're creamy, CHEAP, and won't send those with nut allergies into anaphylactic shock 😊

Boiled cauliflower also works. I buy frozen cauliflower at Walmart for about $1 per bag. Even creamier if you add some chunks of peeled potatoes boiled in the same pot along with the cauliflower. High speed blender does the trick after it’s boiled. Super creamy sauce.

If you don’t already, follow happyhealthyvegan. They don’t cook with any garlic & she has a cookbook too.
@@starrpeabody9071 You could make a roux with equal parts oil, or vegan butter, and flour. Add whichever plant milk and seasonings you prefer and the sauce will thicken as you cook it.
That's basically the typical ways it's made with vegan ingredients subbed in. Works just as well.
You could also use vegan cream cheese as the base for a sauce. There's a ton of recipes online!

I’ve tried several Alfredo recipes. This is by far THE BEST. Add some salt and pepper and you’re good to go. It’s really creamy and thick so it fills you up

I worked 18y in the service industry before becoming a social worker... Nutmeg, fresh and just a little is the secret ingredient in the best Alfredo sauces I've ever had.
[3:30] As someone with a crappy blender: it does the job. Just boil the cashews for like 15 mins longer

if you use cashew butter, you can actually whisk all of the ingredients together and skip the soaking/needing a blender

Maroxa Talks hmm well since peanut allergies are so common now and people want alternatives for nut butter I can find cashew butter at a lot of groceries stores near me. I’d just go in and check. Oh! And there’s always amazon! It really is SO much easier. Hope you can find some!

I'm from the states but am currently living in a small city in Ecuador as an English teacher. Eating vegan is very easy where I live however access to things like beyond meat patties, vegan desserts and other things is really hard to come by. I love pasta and a creamy vegan sauce is something I can never find here. I've made some from scratch using almond milk but it's not the same. However, I can find all these ingredients in bigger cities and I can't wait to try this out soon. Thank you so so much Rose!

This is the best vegan pasta I’ve ever had!🤩 I put salt&pepper and cherry tomatoes in the souce, and fresh basil on top. It was amazing!

Why is the sound of that pasta and sauce bubbling so comforting? 😌 also, I made this sauce and it's crazy how easy and delicious it is. The game changer for me as I don't yet have a high speed blender was boiling the cashews as opposed to just soaking them. Rose for the win!! 🙌

Let me just say I’m addicted lol I’ve had this almost everyday this week and I tweek the recipe each time with different veggies and I’ve added vegan sour cream. It’s soo good! My only tip is to add less nutritional yeast if you don’t favor the taste, 2T. instead of 4. Thank you!!
Omg right now I just made my alfredo pasta udon noodles ! I think you can dress this sauce to ANY pasta/preferrably thick noodles. The FLAVOR is SO FREAKIN DELICIOUS!!! I was thinning sauce with my veggie bouillion soup as I go b/c the sauce thickens up really quick when heating it. I added korean pepper flakes and my saute mushrooms, it is just unbelievable GOOD! Thank you so much for this sauce recipe! I suggest everyone to try this and taste this amazing dish! 👍❤😜

I just tried this! It was so good! I'm not vegan but I love to make vegan recipes and this was surprisingly creamy and pretty cheesy-tasting, pretty close to the real thing! I saw someone in the comments say they used 1 cup of pasta water instead of plain water so I did that + used a little more garlic!
I used warm almond milk instead of water to kick the creamy up a notch. This is an amazing sauce! Thank you as always for sharing with us.
This is by far the best Vegan Alfredo sauce I've made and only 4 ingredients. I've struggled with getting off the cheese because I love cheese so much. My family, who are cheese lovers and not trying to go vegan, said that I will never find a substitute for dairy cheese, all love this vegan alfredo sauce. This is my saving grace. I have tried this recipie but I've added other things like coconut milk (8 oz can), Italian seasoning and turmeric. turns into a gorgeous sauce. Italian seasoning and tumeric I add a table spoon of both into the sauce and it makes it so delicious. I love this recipe for it's flexibility and the ability to add what ever I feel is needed to make it that much more delicious for me and my family.

I do mine with tofu!! Of course a little more expensive than potato but my husband and I are obsessed. Add some spinach and mushrooms and a beyond sausage or two if we have them on hand 10/10

Made this today cause I've had fettucini laying around forever waiting for me to get the energy to make a sauce. This was so easy. I substituted green onion for the garlic cause I have IBS but it was still amazing. Also used a fodmap-friendly vegan chicken base for the bullion. Even non-veg bf approved.

I sometimes make creamy sauce by using gram flour with garlic, soy milk and some tomato paste. It is rich and creamy, tasty and healthy and not very calorific. I sometimes add mushrooms with it.
I love cashew nacho cheese sauce. I made it for the first time in the week & dropped some off to a friend who was literally eating it out of the jar.

This looks really good. A must try. And one of my favorite nuts. I just need some cashews and that better than boulion broth. That broth is really good stuff. This is ideal for people who might be dairy free, but not vegan.
