How have I not seen this build. This is by far one of the best videos I’ve seen. It shows (almost) everything you wanna see, and you can see his real world quality in his methodologies and techniques. Very well done. Good looking truck. I for as to the arms and axles used. Tcase and driveshaft Info. Specs for overall lift. Be nice to know. You could swallow a civic in that monster. Great build.
It would be awesome if you could voice over the process of this build one day so we could learn a few things about our explorers , but thanks for the vid even though I have no idea what was done, buy it looks good
@@Superduty2006 that would make a very informative video, you've already got the work done, just go through it and voice over step by step as y'all are doing the work and maybe why something was removed etc, I'd really like to learn, I've got a 2002 ford explorer, God bless and have a good night brother
I need to do this to my '94 sport. Only surface rust but ugly. Por 15. Who does this body shops or 4 wheels shops. As I also want diffs rebuilt at the same time. New seals and gears and locker
You have a build thread online anywhere? My 98 is still going at 260k. I have an XLS 5spd and I refuse to sell. It’s been my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned. I’d love to do this swap with 5.0 swap. Just would like to see illustrated if possible. Turned out super nice bro! You still have it?
Do you think something like this could be done to a 2004 Explorer 4.6? (Front and Rear independent suspension) I like your set up, I would like to do mine coils front and rear, a little bit lower ride height on 35s
yes of course but to do that truck a lil more work you would have to do the same thing to the rear as the front meaning find a set of axles like from an old full size bronco or truck Dana 44 front ford 9 inch rear or whatever pair of axles you have put truck in the air and tear off all suspension front and rear bare frame get all front suspension from James duff for the front full size bronco radius arms 3.5 spring lift and spring buckets and weld and mount and for rear set of explorer springs from like 1998 and mount on rear it’s just a lot of work to do but looks awesome buy a flip kit to put springs on top of axle and boom their is the lift for rear and if your already 4x4 just connect drive shafts if not get the 4x4 transfer case and wala their is alot more to the build but that’s the big stuff after that steering box n stuff
I have a 98explorer and I was wondering how much it cost to lift one about 3 inches and what size tires I could put under it.Its is stock and I want it to have. Igger tires does anyone know and could help
If you're looking to just keep it simple and lift it 3inches I'd prob just buy a ranger lift kit for front and put shackles lift in rear with add a leaf in rear prob 33 inch tires
The front axle is 78 bronco full length and rear is stock 8.8 with 3 inch spacers on either side guna put the ford 9inch in rear was the matching axle from front
