The moderate output of the Emerald humbucker allows for a more open and clear high-end compared to hotter pickups especially when used with high amounts of preamp gain. Plain enamel hand-wound coils keep the bottom-end tight and controlled while maintaining presence in the highs with excellent pick articulation and sweet harmonics. Clean tones are tight and percussive with a clean edge to the front of each note.

This pickup has that Thin Lizzy tone from Live and Dangerous, that Gorham/Robertson tone of Thin Lizzy's golden era...or, shall I say, Emerald era. Brilliant playing and tone.

Robertson especially. I have an Emerald in the bridge position on my early 2000's Gibson V, and I love it.

The Emeralds are great pickups. Also fairly underrated, I don't see many people using them.
I've had a set in my Edwards LP-style guitar for almost 5 years now. For what I wanted, they nailed the sound I was looking for.

Great pickup! I installed the Emerald in my Las Paul classic, they are very versatile. I mostly play metal but for this gitar I wanted something less aggressive than the Nailbomb and Miracle Man in my other guitars
