Our humbuckers are a pretty standard size, as long as your guitar has fairly square corners on the cavities, our covered pickups should fit in just fine! Not the type of music I play but I really like them. No matter how hot a pickup gets, if it doesn't have clear articulation, it's mud and worthless. This pickup has it! Sounds awesome!
@@BKPickups I should have mentioned, I have a set of mules in a PRS. Its one of the lower-end PRS's but it sounds fantastic! I love the Mules! I have the unpotted Mules. I own 5 Les Pauls, A V, Schecter Tele, Fender Delux Strat, Epiphone, and other assorted. I saw Mike Cahen playing Mules in a Paul and loved it! I'm due for another set in a Paul! lol And maybe I'll try some others. Thanks, guys!
@@BKPickups Sounds great :) One question: that solo from 0:40 onwards shows the "chunkyness" & compression while keeping the clarity within the singlecoil´ish area (to me it sounds like this can even be used for e.g. polyphia like stuff (normally rather vintage-sounding, low output, but highly compressed). This amazes me. Is this something that particulary the Polymath is capable of or would the SILO cover me here as well (i´m leaning towards ordering the SILO atm)? Thanks for a short reply!
Right?!! Fuck me, beautiful and totally out of the blue but fitted perfectly. Was about to say, I'd love some clean sounds then that bit came along. I'm looking for versatile pickups that do more than just djenty sounds and these sound like they fit the bill!
The Polymath set definitely has a different attitude: It's lower in output in the bridge, so the sound is a little more controllable and creates less saturation, but the neck pickup is a little hotter on the Polymath so is a little more geared towards lead tones, with the lower output of the Silo neck giving you a clearer clean tone. So, the Silo set covers a wider output range beween bridge and neck, where both pickups in the Polymath set are firmly in the medium output area. Both sets are great for modern rock and metal tones, so I'm sure that you won't be disappointed!
I am having a VERY tough time choosing which pickups to buy. I have a Solar Duncan. Are these pickups as hot as the Solar’s? I feel like the nailbomb is too close to swap for but these are very intriguing.
The Polymath definitely has a little less output than something like the Duncan Solar, so if you really need that hotter feel, then, certainly, something with a standard Alnico V like the Nailbomb or a Silo would be great!
@@BKPickups Thabks! I feel like the nailbomb is too similar to the solar. I want something tighter. Maybe a dumb question but are the polymaths quieter because of the lower output? I want heavy sound but mainly clarity.
I play in the style of Mark Tremonti, Toska, and Karnivool, do you think the Polymath would be good for my SE Custom 24 or maybe something like the Cold Sweat or Silo?
For the light and dark dynamics of those bands, I would go for the Silos. The slightly lower output neck pickup really does give you a very wide range of tones and aggression levels.
Silos have more output in the bridge position, but less output in the neck, so they cover a broader range of output. The Polymath is a medium output in both bridge and neck positions, with a slightly softer edge to the attack and a little more harmonic richness in the mids overall. All in all, they are both aimed at a fairly similar sound, but their output, response and feel is what really sets them apart.
Was a pleasure to put together the track! The pickups are unreal, congrats guys!
Great playing and demo! Question, did the polymath with covers fit into your Strandberg Prog without routing out the cavities?

You just sold these to me with the video, great versatility!!!
Fantastic playing - this is pure gold!
That solo at the end had it all man 🤘🏻
Wow the clarity and tightness are incredible
a little too tight imo
I can't stop listening... what an amazing arrangement!
Best demo ever! 4 minutes and I got everything I had to get. Both thumbs up and I'm locking for a third one
Can we get a tab for this Connor, this arrangement is great.

Absolutely! We strive for clarity and articulation in every model that we make, regardless of the genre that it's aimed at

Clearly Connor can play anything and make everything sound great :)
Stoked to have one of these on the way - absolutely killer tones and fantastic playing!
This video is underrated as hell. What a versatile pickup.
That main riff sure sounds Monumentsy 😎🤔sick fucking playing and I didn’t know how much I needed these pickups in my life
A blues interlude AND a jazz interlude in one metal track? this is what I do like.
Incredible playing, wow.
I was ready to order his fingers....
Great video , pickups and playing !!
Cheers.
Those jazz/blues interludes were OP !

I love everything about all of this. ☮️👍
SUPERB PLAYING AND SOUND..!! :)
holy shit, what a demo track!
These sound dope
I just ordered Silos and this comes out. Lol. I wondered how it compares to the silos? 🤔

@@BKPickups thanks for this. I don’t think I could go wrong with any of BKPickups tho.
@@BKPickups that's good to hear !!
The intro riff without drums. Sounded spanky sexy! Loved the sound. What was the pickup configuration for it?

@@BKPickups how much more output do the silo’s have?
@@mattelder4269 tbh I've never felt that Nailbomb is too noisy. Bkps are really well made and all.
@@samuelng6441 I am absolutely loving the Polymath. Couldn’t be happier. Just never saw anyone put them in a 7 so I took a chance.
🔥🔥🔥
I want them just for the cover pattern
sooo gooood
Hi! I wanna install them on My Ibanez jem 😵💫 🔥 is it going to be a good idea or is it antoher model You can recommend?
Polymaths will work great in a Jem! Some really great alternatives would be a Holydiver bridge + Emerald neck, or the Abraxas set
Thank you so much! I will check them out You'll see my order soon (greetings from Guatemala)@@BKPickups

@@BKPickupscan I put Polymaths in the bridge and Silo in the neck? Or they have to much difference in output level?
Sick playing and sounding.
If i would have to say a fail I'd say I miss a bit more bass???
INSANE!!
Polymath can be customized?
We have a huge range of cover types and finishes, you can configure a custom build on our website!
The table almost made it look like he was missing part of his left leg, which matched the guitar missing part of its neck.
Where can I find this track on Spotify?
pretty sure this was put together just for the demo, so I'm not sure that it's released anywhere else, I'm afraid
Playing is out of this world good, but pickups have bright transient bite on every pick attack which i`m not fond off personally.
How would you compare here to a set of silo pickups?

@@BKPickups thanks Tim! Im definitely leaning more towards the silo!
all im gonna say is..... what the f**k. this dude rips
🤯🤯🤯🎸
It actually has all the qualities of an active pickup but way better
