@Rachel-sv9pq I can definitely understand as it's a bit intimidating at first, but it'll be great if you try it alone! People might help you a bit here and there too which could make the experience more interesting as well!
So good! The only thing "wrong" with this video was learning that I'd been near this jjimjilbang and Bongwonsa the entire summer of 2007 without realizing it 😅😅 Glad you're making the most of the rainy season! Hope you guys can stay safe in the wet conditions 🙏
@jkang7265 thank you so much! Oh wow you will have to visit it next time you are in Seoul if you like jjimjilbangs! Hope all is well and take care eh! 😊
Such a fun video! I was chuckling throughout the entire episode. 😄 Thank you for showing us around a Korean playground, uhm I mean sauna, for adults. 😉 Take care and have a wonderful week. 🍢🇰🇷🌞
@Mudskipper9876 thanks so much for the kind words! It's definitely worth considering, especially on a rainy or snowy day as it's a really cozy way to relax. Hope you can check out a jjimjilbang someday!
@dericmpark8381 thank you so much for your continued support and generousity! You've helped us out so much, and hope you are doing well, stay healthy and happy!
What a great video I chuckled all the way through this, you two cracked me up in the karaoke 😆 A lot of people love to lounge all day in the sun but this is something I would favour to do for a whole day and make it a regular visit for sure. What a great experience this is to immerse yourself in traditional Korea. And by the way, I just noticed your subs have gone up by another 1k! You guys are killing it!🤟😄💚
@see8331 haha thank you so much! Jjimjilbang is definitely the perfect way to spend a day and learn some Korean traditions, and we are getting pretty lucky that UA-cam is starting to recommend our videos more as well!
I know exactly where this is but having lived in a sauna for over 20 years before Seoul it’s not on my radar 🤣 I do recommend a walk from Seodaemun prison up Ansan mountain and down to Bongwonsa Temple - simple but very pleasant- cheers
@Geeraffe wow over 20 years! Definitely don't blame you then! Also I've never hiked up Ansan from the other side near Seodaemun Prison, but will have to check it out sometime!
Very cool....never been to a charcoal sauna before. Didn't see any signs in English during the video, so I'm going to need to improve my Korean language skills if I want to go😅
@ICDeadPeeps it's pretty interesting eh! There were a few signs in English to label things, but not that many. Would definitely be good just to know the simple things like how to read hangeul and how to order in Korean (or just use PapaGo!)
I attest to it being a great experience regardless...but specially good on a rainy day ^^ I remember going to a Jjimjilbang in Busan with great views of the sea...it was simply fantastic! Having had watched plenty K-dramas I was slightly familiar with what to expect and happy to immerse myself in the experience. As a western female going solo, I felt initially a wee bit a fish out of water, but soon made myself at home! ^^) I had a meal in the restaurant and one of the ladies was even so kind as to come over once sitted, and gift me an extra banchan dish. Though off the rainy season, as it was autumn, it was a very heavy rainy day (some off season storm hitting the Korean coast) and the evening views off the small veranda towards the open sea as the stormy rain was coming down was priceless... I cannot wait to try it again!!
@@herahera7340 going to jjimjilbangs is awesome in the rain eh! That's great to hear that the K-dramas helped prepare you a bit, and it must have been amazing with the views of the ocean in the rain as well! Glad you had a great time!
@@lostthenfound To be fair, and thinking back more closely, I think I checked some further info and/or looked at some videos...but still true that K-dramas did introduce me to Jjimjilbangs and made me want to try them as part of the Korean culture. I hope they stay around and do not get watered down by way of western/tourism influence. Thank you two! xx
Thank you for preparing such a wonderful videos. I teach university students at Myongji University, located in Gyeonggi-do. If you and your wife ever have the chance to visit our university, I would be delighted to give you a tour of the campus and enjoy a meal together at the campus cafeteria. 😃🥰
@barcher it's not too bad going there alone either luckily! A lot of people try to help out though because I look like I have no clue what I'm doing haha. (Which is true to be honest)
My wife had a gallon of that rice drink that spilled in her car, the car wreaked for 5-6 years, we had all the seats and carpet taken out and cleaned, it help a lot, about 2 years later the oder was completely gone.
@dwalker6868 thank you so much! It will take about 3 hours round trip from Incheon Airport, and if you want to check in 2 hours early for your flight that would give you 4 hours at the sauna. It's certainly possible, but you might feel a bit rushed.
Hi brother I got a question to ask as I am visiting korea within few weeks i want to know which Korean navigation app to use while riding motorcycle I did try the kakao map and naver map but it doesn't show routes for motorcycle
@caylusRyan hi there! I would use Naver Maps, and in Settings > Navigation > My Car you can change it to motorcycle to get directions for motorcycles. All the best on your trip!
This is the kind of thing I'd be too scared too try without watching a video like this first to understand how it works so thanks!
@Rachel-sv9pq I can definitely understand as it's a bit intimidating at first, but it'll be great if you try it alone! People might help you a bit here and there too which could make the experience more interesting as well!

Thanks for the great video. Definitely a good one for a rainy day inn Seoul. Regards
Thanks so much Howard! It's a really cool place for sure! Hope all is well!
Sikhye and jjimjilbang are such a vibe! Also, a trampoline in a sauna is something I haven't seen yet haha, so cool!
@TimaMikheev it's the way to go eh! Haha this sauna has so many random things inside that it was really cool for sure!
Well filmed, as always, this is a literal deep dig into a traditional experience. I would consider this after watching your viewpoint.

@cenoles1 it's pretty awesome eh! Thanks so much for watching!
the first time I had that rice drink I almost spewed. Now I love it. Just had some today in fact!
Haha I had a similar reaction to you my first time Alex! It takes a bit to grow on you, but once you get used to the texture it's pretty good!
Thank you for sharing this with us. This place looks amazing and I can’t wait to check it out ❤

lolled at the 덜덜이 finish! one of the 3 great pillars (along with 돌돌이 and 꺼꾸리). if you know, you know!
