    More places to visit in Seoul
    1. National Museum of Korean Contemporary History 대한민국역사박물관
    Located at Gwanghwamun Square. It is a great place to learn the rapid growth and democratization of the republic of Korea.
    2. Seoul Urban Life Museum 서울생활사박물관
    Located near Taereung Station(Line 6&7). It's a great place to see how people in Seoul lived decades ago, which is very different from nowadays.
    3. Seoul Museum of History 서울역사박물관
    Located Right Next to Gyeonghuigung. It is famous for the miniature of Seoul.
    4. Nodeul Island 노들섬
    10 minutes walk from Nodeul Station, Line 9. An unique scenery surrounded by Hangang River, Railway Bridges, and skyscrapers.

      For the summer if you're in Seoul and planning on visiting a lot of the traditional places in Northern Seoul, I'd try and get a hotel in Jongno-gu close to Gwanghwamun or Jonggak Station so you can come back and shower/rest at your hotel throughout the day as you explore. It's extremely hot and humid and you'll probably be sweating a lot and need some breaks here and there. Also the convenience stores have seats a lot of the time, so definitely stop in and grab a drink and cool off throughout the day.

      @DailyPassenger thanks so much for watching and following! Seoul is incredibly safe in the evenings too. If you are a solo female traveler then it's best to take precautions like other countries, but overall it's one of the safest countries in the world, and if you are smart about your decisions then it's very safe!

In winter time I'd recommend walking along the Seoul City Wall (Hanyangdoseong) that takes you through a lot of the northern city and some of the mountains with great views. Great video! When you went to the Leeum Art Museum did you have to reserve a ticket in advance? I tried going there one time last year on a whim and when I got there they said I needed to reserve a ticket online. Perhaps I just got unlucky and it was on a special event day or something.

    • @lostthenfound
      @lostthenfound  Місяць тому +2

      @Gemini19 thanks so much! To be honest I haven't been in a few years and it was possible for me to buy a ticket at the front (I just filmed the outside for this video), but apparently you can buy a ticket when you get inside according to the reviews I read. You can also reserve a ticket for 2 weeks ahead of time, so it seems like some of the exhibitions are really popular, and maybe the art gallery overall has gained a lot of popularity since I went.

    Hi thank you for video. Do you know, are there any trot bars in Seoul?

    • @lostthenfound
      @lostthenfound  Місяць тому +1

      @sadanelhanucer5690 thanks a lot! Trot bars are not an especially common thing here, so I don't know a lot, but this place is pretty close to Myeongdong and people said that trot music was playing there in a blog so no guarantees, but hope it helps a bit: naver.me/5vIYV8ps

      Another idea is to go to an LP bar and request specific songs by typing in "LP바" to Naver Maps

    10:30 Great video, but I think your information about Leeum is wrong. If you want to view the permanent exhibition which are comprised of traditional arts the price is free but you will have to make a reservation. They only charge you for special exhibitions. And their traditional art collection is no slouch despite being free as a lot of National Treasures and Treasures officially designated by the Cultural Heritage Administration are in display. These were collected by the Lee Family behind Samsung, particularly the mother of the current chairperson Hong Ra-hee who is well-versed in art collecting and founded the museum along with her late husband. And the architecture of the museum are done by three world-renowned architects.

      @beatlemania8273 thanks so much for the updated information! I pinned this comment and added an automatic subtitle that should play for people from now on. I haven't been there in years (just filmed the outside as I was in a rush that day), and it looks like the Visit Korea website needs to update their information as well: english.visitkorea.or.kr/svc/whereToGo/locIntrdn/rgnContentsView.do?vcontsId=104050

      @lostthenfound Glad it helped! I think museums in general are overlooked when it comes to traveling Seoul. A lot of them are either free or dirt cheap and are high quality. I think you should do a video just about the museums in and around Seoul, maybe some major ones in other cities and provinces. Love all your videos and keep up the good work! 👍

    To be honest , there is not much things to see in Seoul and Korea. Plus, its way too expensive to buy food especially fruit. I highly doubt if it worth visiting korea with spending that amount of money. Thats why most koreans fly abroad especially japan . They just say their country is beautiful but they all travel overseas . Funny.

    • @lostthenfound
      @lostthenfound  Місяць тому +1

      @masonju5854 haha there's no doubt that fruit is incredibly expensive here! I think that Seoul is incredibly special with all of the great places to eat at like the markets and little restaurants everywhere, the beautiful mountains nearby, the 한양도성 (Seoul City Wall), and especially the Han River! It might not be for everyone, but a lot of people definitely enjoy traveling here!
