Dude, this is extremely well written. I am very much looking forward to more of this and any other stories you write especially pertaining to Fromsoft's souls games.

I'm absolutely loving this interpretation of the lore in the games, and adaption into prose. It took me a while to get to this point and I'm really hoping you continue it. I adore the characterization you've been giving the central figures through all of the parts, and implementing several aspects of all the games into plot points. Like the creation of the artificial Ornstein. That was quite interesting!
I just discovered this series and listened/read all 3 parts back to back. I am dismayed at the prospect of having to wait weeks, if not months for a continuation of this incredibly well written story.
The story of Ornstien the Dragonslayer and his quest to seek the nameless king is what drew me into my first Darksouls game (Darksouls 3) more than any other lore. Creating a story based on already confirmed lore, with some exceptions is just incredible. A "Darksouls extended universe" if you will, true to the emotion and legacy of the original From Software creation is something I would pay for.
I'm grateful that someone as well written, informed, and seemingly intelligent as you has decided to spend their time creating content like this. Being a fan of your Bloodborne content as well, the insights I now understand (on an emotional level) of the lore draw me in even to this day; and is what continues to inspire me to get other people into this fantastic universe, and help act as a guide through their journeys. Referring them to channels such as this.
I truly cannot wait for the next part of this story, so many unanswered questions I have had myself. Thank you, sincerely.
Returing to this series and Im falling in love again. Seriously Mitch you have a real skill when it comes to this. Im not sure if you lost interest or just didnt know where to go, but wow this is probably my favourite series of Dark Souls lore on the internet. I love how you interpret the relationships between the characters, all the nuances and depth given in such short interactions is remarkable. I'd kill for a continuation but will always be grateful for these 3. Bravo Mitch
Now that I've listened to the story, I'll comment about the contents of it.
I really liked the way you explained the illusion/golem of Ornstein in Anor Londo, for me it's one of those parts that they really should've explained somehow in the game a bit more.
I also loved how you mixed lore we discovered in the 3rd game, about the weapon of the first born, about the Slave Knights and etc. It was really well done and kept it intresting through to the end. I really was disappointed when I understood that the video is done and when you gave your farewell words.
One point, story-wise, I'd like to rise - there was the part when you switched from the battlefield and Ornstein's memories back to the "present" when he was standing before Gwyn's children. Although it was easy to understand after a line and a half, I'd personally think it was better to point it out more bluntly, something like "Back at Anor Londo..." and then continue. Just a little note.
It was amazing, and you have a very enjoyable voice to read e-books, and if you write those as well, then you are extremely skilled as a writer as well and honestly, I'd wish to see more of this type of content from you. We have WAY TOO MUCH lore video's at this point, and coming from someone that watched them all, I rarely learn something new now. This type of content, that is utterly unique and done extremely well.

Man, I love this series. While I personally am a fan of The Wolf Knight, this makes me have a new respect for Ornstein and his story, and also gives me a fresh look upon his lore. I like your other lore videos as well, and happen to agree with many of your points. Beautifully done, keep up the amazing work.

Yes! I hoped you were here. I like the Book story of his, It is very detailed and interesting, but some decisions in his Book story were kinda stretched out of thin air. Gwyn's pact with Pygmies being a forced Contract? Fillianore being kidnapped or taken? Ornstein going on a journey to kill his Master when we don't even find his Corpse? Ornstein having a Lord Soul? Like...... What?
I hope you understand the absurd i see in those parts of his story. Because you are one of the only Radical and one of the only realistic Lore Diggers. And you mostly make theories based on real and existing clues of the In-game lore, dialogues, the cues from the NPCs, visual design and other things of Dark Souls that could serve as a clue.
And my question for you is, "Do you have a sense of absurd simillar to mine"?
Bro you and I both know it goes without saying that the lore surrounding Ornstein is granted absolutely fantastic but unfortunately fairly convoluted and contradictory aswell. So with that being understood its quite obvious Mitch simply made the best of what he had at his disposal and as a result came up with a exceedingly compelling narrative that did justice to one of the most beloved soul's characters and I think that's something he should be commended for.
Your writing skills never cease to amaze me. Just like usual I can’t wait to hear the next part! So refreshing to see a grounded look into storytelling in the Souls universe

This is great work, I've been looking forward to this. If i may propose something... I would have liked the story of how ornstein fought us, the chosen undead since we get to fight him twice and very probably three times in the series since he very might be the storm ruler, the fight in anor londo being the most epic, that was without count that ornstein was an illusion... It would be really nice to hear tales about that fight though. Personally, I started with dark souls 1 and it's this fight that really got me addicted. When you're on your first playthrough ever of any dark souls game, it feels so epic, so incredibly difficult, a task that you might give up on. But if you don't go hollow you succeed after so many hours of trying and damn man the feels.. it's been almost 2 years since I did it but I'll never forget that fight, that feeling I had when I finally beat it. Wish I could forget about dark souls 1 and play it again haha ! It was truly amazing. Anyway... You're doing an amazing job Mitch L and whatever is part 4 gonna be like, I'm certain that it's gonna be good. Can't wait for it, cya :)

Soul Arts? Was that a Demon Souls easter egg I heard? Great dragon slaying scene. I'm getting really invested in the story and hope this type of content becomes a regular thing. It would be especially cool if there was some art that connected to the story. It's written very visually so I can already picture amazing visuals that could accompany it.
Just as with the last episode I feel that the transition from past to present needed some sort of an acknowledgement to better define the scene change. Nothing big, maybe in this case a short sentence commentating on Ornstein's consciousness coming back to reality would have done the trick. Keep up the good work.

@@mitchl6896 yessssssssss... one thing I hope you can explore a bit more is Nameless' ties with Forossa (who probably worshiped him under the name Faraam) and his relationship with the Sunbros (of which Ornstein was likely the first!). DS1 medal does say that he kept an eye on his faithful- and who was more faithful than his own First Knight?

One thing that I don't really undestand though is the presence of slave knights: it's never stated that they fought in the war against the archdragons, so why put them instead of the ringed knights since they were both humans and probably had the same role as cannon-fodder on the battlefield?
