LYRICS
With a little luck we can help it out
We can make this whole damn thing work out
With a little love we can lay it down
Can't you feel the town exploding?
Chorus
There is no end to what we can do together
There is no end
The willow turns his back on inclement weather
And if he can do it, we can do it, just me and you
And a little luck, we can clear it up
We can bring it in for a landing
With a little luck we can turn it on
There can be no misunderstanding
Chorus
With a little push, we could set it off
We can send it rocketing skywards
With a little love we could shake it up
Don't you feel the comet exploding?
With a little luck, with a little luck, with a little luck, etc
Repeat verse one
With a little love, we can set it off
We can send it rocketing skywards
With a little luck, we could shake it up
Oh yeah
Repeat verse one
Repeat verse three
Music from the 70's was the greatest music, fun times & great memories
2023 - Simply a beautiful arrangement. The synth sounds are luscious and peaceful at the same time. Lovely. I remember this song as a child when it came out, I could not get enough of it. Some things never change, I love this song. Thanks Wings!
The critics liked the synth arrangements on this song, calling them tasteful compared to a lot of other songs where synths were just thrown in because they were new and hip.
Especially at the very beginning. Has a celtish feel to it.
That synthesizer is 70s AF, and it’s AWESOME!!!!!!
@@jackieandrea Hmm? Never thought of that. Now, I noticed. Thanks!
As a kid my Dad would play The Beatles and Wings albums . I haven't stopped listening. Pure classics. Thank you Dad. I close my eyes and were all back in the living room dancing and sing. Miss you
🙏 !
🙏🏻❤️ Special memories to treasure. I also raised my kids on the Beatles and Paul McCartney! My daughter & I saw Paul in concert together in 2014!❤️
Wings every time, more nuanced because it had the Linda touch 😏
❤
dad says hi petie, love ya son.
This is what you call a good "pick me up" song. It's always perfect to listen to when you're starting your day. That's what makes a true '70s classic.
Highly, highly underrated song. The line about the Willow turning his back on inclement weather gets me everytime. The Willow (trees) of course, are the most resilient of trees. A perfect analogy. For all of his accomplishments, fame, and fortune, I still don't think Paul Mccartney is appreciated as much as he should be. Thank God for Paul.
Yeah hes not that great. Hes written a LOT of rubbish
Paul is the greatest popular musician in rock... No one has got the hits he has on his back: with The Beatles, Wings and Solo artist...
Rubbish?! How uncultered can one get?!
Synthesizer. Wonderfull use of yhat. Perfect cy. And strings. Played and plucked gently. Just gies to shie you how wonderfull pauls ear is WOW. What a genious
There have been other great song

but McCartney in terms of range
and sheer output really is unique !

Wow I need a little luck, I was diagnosed with cancer and I have surgery next week, and I am scared. This song reminds me of much better times, Please pray for me, Michele.
I hope all went well
I hope everything turns out well!!

Y'all are 11 years late. Either this person already got the surgery and recovered, or they died
Good luck my friend!
I Love Wings. Rip for linda and denny...
When I see pictures of Paul, and, Linda, I smile, she was wonderful for him, and, he for her...
And both of them were AWESOME musicians

I'm 72 and have enjoyed his singing and songwriting for the entire time. God bless Paul.
Wings was a brilliant group, I have every album, Paul's pretty awesome, one of the greatest songwriter's of my life, him , John and George.
"There is no end to what we can do together!" Love this line! Underrated, amazing song!
It was a number-one hit in Canada at least.
We roses Azaas Fo
@@mosseisleyYTin USA too. Hit n1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wish that paul play it someday, but idk. This song is an amazing example of smart songwriting.
Paul was without question, the most versatile of The Beatles; they were all the best in their own right, and much more could be said.❤❤❤❤
The "GOAT" of The Musical 20th Century!!!
Paul McCartney is a great singer I remember in 1978, when I was 12,I'm 55now still love the song.

@@blackmaleb Alchemcy,
Exactly it was a wonderful combination ...

I hear this music and am overwhelmed with nostalgia, sad and happy memories! All I can say is that I am so grateful for having grown up in the 70s!
I'm 250 years old. I've loved Paul since the 1870's
150 is more accurate ☝️😉
Paul’s music is literally timeless, apparently.
YAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

250? .., yeah , right!
This song came out in spring/ summer 1978. I was in the USAF, military police , stationed in Plattsburgh, NY. This song brings back wonderful memories. It is September 2023 and I am still listening.

So true - it’s just brilliant!
My favorite❤
Paul McCartney is the BEST. His music never gets old
Well hes not the best. And he had a lot of help. He writes pop songs. Some of them are very good. And there's others.
Beautifully ,composed song. I still play it 50 years later. 🎉❤ joy 😊
I was about 14 when this came out. Eagerly anticipated by me. I saved all my paper-round money to buy it. I still have it now and I’m 60. You have to consider that this album came in the wave of Punk bands cropping up here there and everywhere (see what I did there!). Every track on this album is just gorgeous in its own right. Their three vocals are just perfect.
The thing that I remember most vividly about this song when it came out was it was the only ray of optimism on the charts. In the era of such songs as "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late" and "You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore", this song was a breath of "positive" air. Thank you Mr. McCartney for keeping it upbeat.
70s/80s kid falling in love with this song all over again. The only thing that comes to my mind- innocence!
I was a kiddie too. RIP Dennie!
4:07 that sounds just like the leitmotif of a certain cheeky little engine with six small wheels, a short stumpy funnel, a short stumpy boiler and a short stumpy dome.
That's thomas alright! :D
@@Mojave6005 and you, sir, are correct.
Paul's optimystic music gives the world HOPE and his Madrigal talents are simply priceless. Yes I have this album!.
the last 55 seconds--the part they always cut out--gives goosebumps.
Ted877, you are so right about the last 55 seconds! Let us give thanks to the great Sir Paul McCartney for not only these 55 seconds, but hours and hours , days and days, and years and years, of creativity from 1960 to the present!
The radio edit cuts the guts out of the song...over 2 minutes, mostly between the 3:00-5:00 marks. My brother had the LP, so that's what I grew up on.
Promotional copies of the album came with a hot water bottle I believe.....
Amen, Ted! That last 55, the vocal by Paul, just turns me inside out! Gives me chills. My favorite McCartney vocal of all times. I LOVE this song!
I'd HATE it when the short version ended. They cut the best part!
Absolutely beautiful masterpiece, one of the best songs of all time, legendary music from Paul McCartney, top of the line solid gold standard of excellence for over 50 years

Can't get the song out of my head now . Always makes me feel good.. . very uplifting. "There is no end to what we can do together "

Paul had the perfect raspy voice on this track. And I love this album cover for some reason. Linda looks like she's happy in this pic.

Sadly, there _is_ an end, and it came for Denny Laine yesterday (5 December 2023). He's the leftmost one on the _London Town_ album cover above. He died of interstitial lung disease. Laine was also a founding member of the Moody Blues. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work with that band in 2018, and he also gets a songwriting credit - alongside Paul McCartney, of course - for _With A Little Luck._
It is always sad when an artist dies...
''NOTHING BEAUTIFULL IN THIS WORLD IS EVER REALLY LOST, ALL THINGS BELOVED LIVE ON IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER!'' Said By A Native American Elder.
Yes Denny Laine the haunting lead vocal on Go Now by the Moody Blues, but left after their first album. RIP. 😢

There were so many hits in the 1978-1981 range with that lovely mix of synths and electric piano by Wings, Steely Dan, Ambrosia, Gary Wright, Supertramp, Sniff n’ The Tears, etc and it all takes me back to being 10-12 years old in the back of my parents car fighting with my sister
