Young black man coming home from Marine Corps boot camp in 1975,first song I heard on the freedom bird heading to Chicago. It stayed with me til this day!
Summer 1975 was awesome! It was a great time to be a 10-year-old kid, hanging out at the public neighborhood pool every day, fishing, camping, biking... just plain blissful times to be enjoyed with little a care in the world! Life was still simple then too, times will never again be like that. This song was definitely a top hit then, and brings the great memories flooding back!
I was around 6 years old, Bismarck, ND. I missed the first day of school following the garbage truck around the neighborhood. They had a radio on the back of the truck and it just drew me in. No amber alert, just a mother out to gather her wayward child.

Yes, I was nine at the time and had Beatles and Wings posters all over my 70s wood paneled Southern California bedroom.
I fell in love with this song when I was about 5 years old. I'm 52 now and love it just as much now as I did then.
Me toooo!! And I'm 53! You just can't go wrong with the classics. And he is certainly that!

You hear people all the time saying someone is an "American treasure or a British treasure" Paul indeed was a treasure to the World. Without him, the World would be much worse off.
This is my first time hearing this song. Really enjoying it.
It reminds of Pink Floyd. Somewhere between Dark Side and the Wall.
The guitar work is very good 👌

I've decided that every morning, when I wake up, I'm going to sing "The wonder of it all, baby. Yeah yeah yeah". Thanks Sir Paul. Love you.
Like being back in the 70's
I was 11 years old when this came out and liked it right away. Never get tired of hearing it
The most talented song writer 😅
The GOAT of The 20th Century!!!
I ❤️ Paul
Pure joy. Same feeling I get from hearing "Martha My Dear".
Martha was his dog.
@@waynescott137 And that somehow makes the song less joyful? lol
After kiling it across the pond as a Beatle, paul came to America and wowed us as a member of Wings!
When I was a kid, and this song would come on the radio, o would reflect on a life and time, I never even knew.
Great song, mccartney 🎩magic
A song that opens the door to so long ago when summers were long and the TV was excellent, and so was the music, and this era of today was just a dim notion of a future. Back then, all of your friends and family were alive and young and you didn't have a care in the world; they were the good old days and we didn't even know it.
No matter what kind of day I'm having, this song always picks me up. 😍
Its the 1970s middle if the summer we’re headed to the cottage, Dad is speeding Mom is yelling, it’s blazing hot all windows open no AC and thats just fine...this song comes on the radio us kids start singing along at the top of our lungs, the parents quiet down to hear us sing...good times ❤️
Nice.
Happy 80th birthday
I met you from this song
Loved the time.
I remember this song from when I was a kid. I was 13. Loved it then, love it now! I just saw Paul in Chicago on July 9th and they played this! It was so AWESOME!!
yeah me too, 13 and just coping at high school (& home) thru it all, thanks to the wonderful music of Wings, ELO, Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Elton John and the mighty Queen!
