- Make your Xbox Series X light green with a shopping bag! This is an easy mod to do if you take care, and no soldering required. I show a quick Xbox Series X teardown and then a tutorial of how to make the power button light green or any other colour you like. Using a shopping bag, or piece of coloured plastic from a lolly wrapper, or even electrical tape, you can change the color of your Xbox light to green or whatever you like!

Lowkey Xbox should have added this as a feature ages ago, but this is a good way to do it yourself

You just took out the whole xbox just for a video. What a legend.
Don't worry, this won't void your warrantee. A few years ago, the BBB sent out an alert informing all the big hardware makers from Apple to Microsoft that they couldn't void warrantees just because someone attempted a repair of their own hardware, unless they could show the person damaged the hardware themselves and it wasn't a fault in the system.

If you are scared of opening the console, get a colored sharpie and draw on the logo. Then put clear tape on top so it won’t rub off.

If you want a similar look with far less risk, you can mask off around the button with tape, and color it with colored Sharpie markers. Just re-apply if it wears off, and it allows you to change colors as often as you like.
I made my Xbox One and controller both have blue buttons to match the accent lighting in my living room.
Was heavily considering red though... lol!

Mick, here’s a wayyyy easier tip, use a sharpie on the outside of the power button. I know it’s permanent, but if you’re REALLY scared of destroying / stunting the performance of the console, it works, it’s also any colour you want 😫

People are too much of a scaredy cat to do it. I've got one and Ive opened and pulled it apart like 5 times to clean it. It's a good thing to do. Get comfortable, be careful and go slow you'll be fine!!!
My power button light died or “Burnt “ is the anything that can be done ?

Does this effect the feeling of the button when it is pressed?
Its can be slighly softer but still feels good. I think if you were super accurate with the placement of the mod, you wouldn't notice it

Thats what i was thinking when they unveil it the first time, but it can be done with a plexy glass and green leds im working on that for mines

Good to know, but I honestly wouldn't be recommending people unscrew their Series X without mentioning how that ruins the warranty. On old consoles that doesn't matter, but I had to send my Series X in for repairs last month and I got a new one in 6 days because I didn't break the warranty. Otherwise repairs cost $300

@@TinkerManMick i did, because it was in a small font and something you glossed over while imo it should have been something you said yourself and stressed the point. And you also said "may" void, it does void it. Which some people are good with. I just wanted to share my story of how my series x started powering off. Granted, if you've owned it for 12 months, it's out of warranty and it's free game! Just something I'd hope people don't miss is all👍🏾
@@worried3996 it should be 12 months, and then you're good👍🏾 day one owners probably hitting that mark but if you've got a ways to go I'd just wait until it passes. It's pretty cool how fast they'll send you a new console
